All About You

They ignore me,
So do you.
I can take it from them,
But I can't from you.

People look my way,
But I'm not what they see.
They believe what I tell them to,
They believe what I let them see.

I had hoped that you'd be different,
I had hoped that you would see-me.
You didn't though, you're just like them,
And now I can't stand to have you near me.

You quoted to me the works,
Of lovers from long ago.
You sang to me your sorrows,
And tempted me, awhile ago.

Do you even really care about me?
Do you care about me at all?
Do you ever lie awake at night with feelings?
Do you have any feelings at all?
