August 28, 2001I also added this cool little JavaScript piece that we learned how to create in one of the recent class sessions. This was a part of the second lab assignment. Which was the creation of a home page for our W130 classwork. So check it out! Check out my cool JavaScript Image Gallery! August 29, 2001Cycling BannersToday's update features the new cycling banners at the top of this page. It was another lengthy piece of work. View the source code if you'd like to see how it was accomplished. Note that the banners cycle as well as link to the correct site. This is accomplished by two arrays that run simultaneously on the same cycle function, so that the links and the banner images cycle together. September 6, 2001In this update, I added a jump menu to this page. This correlates to my Lab 5 assignment. So check it out! And feel free to view the code if you'd like. September 10, 2001Today's update is actually the first Project assignment from my Scripting class. Just click on the link provided below to go and check out my Project 1 assignment. This assignment takes a 'real' website and creates several interactive elements through JavaScript. Examples of the improvements made are rollover effects for the buttons, form validation on the newsletter page, opening a JavaScript window to display the legal info (with the option to close), and a countdown of the days til Christmas on the 'buy' page. September 26, 2001This update feature's my Project 2 assignment from my Scripting class. Just click on the link below to go and check out my Project 2 assignment. If you've already seen Project 1 above, then you will recognize this site. This time the primary task was to use Cascading Style Sheets to format everything on the pages. Feel free to check out the code, though most of the pages use an external stylesheet, some of them do not. Check out the legal page for some examples. September 28, 2001This update's focus is Project 3. It is the FFF (Folsom Fish Factory) website again, but this time it focuses on using DHTML elements to make the site "look cool". The assignment was to use three DHTML scripts to enhance the site. I used a DHTML nav bar that drops down link menus on every page. I also used a "ticker" script to show a message on the Buy page. The third and final script that I added in disables the right-click on every page. Yes, there are ways around it... So go ahead and click the link to go check out my Project 3 site. |
