Chapter 6

The party at Luke’s

Carly and Jason are dancing and so are Stone and Robin. Brenda is sitting at a table with Lois and Ned.

B- Come on big brother, let’s dance.

N- Sure, little sis.

Sonny walks into Luke’s and sees Brenda dancing with Ned. He’s shocked to find that he feels a pang of jealousy. He goes over and sits down with Lois.

S- Hey Lo, what’s up?

L-Just havin’ a party for Bren. (Lois notices how Sonny is staring at Brenda) Ya know, you can sit here with us if ya like.

S- So, what’s she doing with your Nedly?

L- She asked him to dance. No biggie. They haven’t talked in over two years. They were friends before I met them. They have this great brotherly-sisterly bond. No reason for you to get jealous over.

S- Me? Jealous? Nah.

L- Remember, we go way back. I know you.

S- That’s right you do.

Brenda and Ned come back over to the table. They were laughing hysterically.

B- Remember the time when we all snuck out to go see you sing at the club... what was it called?

L- (lauging) The Underground.

B- Yeah, and Jase and Car were fighting and she drove off and we all had to walk home.

L- How could I forget that? I was in heels, my feet hurt for weeks.

N- Yeah and who had to rub them for you? Me!

B- That was great.

L- Yeah it was for you because Jagger carried you all the way home.

B- Hey, where is he?

Chapter 7

Jason and Carly and Stone and Robin come back over.

J- Who you looking for Bren?

B- Jagger, Stone you seen him?

St- No sorry Bren. He said he was gonna stop by though.

B- Let’s go dance.

Lois, Ned, Jason, Carly, Robin and Brenda get up.

S- Who’s Jagger and why would Brenda ask you if you seen him?

St- Sonny, Jagger is my brother. You met him remember, he was the boxer.

S- Oh, yeah, must have slipped my mind.

St- They used to go out. They just lost touch when she moved away.

S- Oh. (He looks at Brenda - she stops dancing and looks toward the door)

Sonny turns to see Brenda run into the arms of a tall built man, who he assumes is Jagger.

B- I knew you’d come. How’ve you been?

Jag- Great B. You look beautiful. Wanna shake it up?

B- We’ve been over for a while now, but if you mean on the dance floor than I’m gonna hafta take you up on it.

Jag- Great let’s do it.

They dance to a few fast songs then a slow sexy song comes on. They grind closer together. Brenda’s hands were on Jagger’s shoulders and his hands made their way lower until they were on her ass.

Chapter 8

Sonny seen this and quickly stood up. He walks over to Jagger and taps him on the shoulder.

S- Do you mind if I cut in?

Jag- Yeah, actually I do.

B- Jagger! Excuse him, no I don’t mind.

S-Sorry. I didn’t have a chance to welcome you and I thought this would be a good time. Are you have a good time?

B- Yeah I really like this place. Shame it wasn’t here before I left.

S- Yeah, well, when we built.. (Brenda interrupts him)

B- You built?

S- Yeah I own this place with Spencer.

B- Oh.

S- So when we built this place I always thought of a club atmosphere but Luke liked Blues. He’s here more than I am so I figured I’ll let him have it his way.

B- Wow.

Sonny and Brenda danced almost all of the rest of the songs together. Brenda couldn’t believe how right it felt in his arms. Sonny was still amazed by her beauty and charisma. Brenda looks at her watch and realizes that it’s 1:30 in the morning. Sonny and Brenda break apart and walk back to their table.

B- Jase, where’s Lo?

J- Oh, she left a while ago with Ned.

B- Great. (Brenda sighs and sits down)

C- What’s the matter Bren?

B- Nothing, just that Lois drove us here and now I don’t have a way to get home. Jeez, Sometimes I think she doesn’t think at all.

S- Bren, don’t get upset. I can give you a ride home.

B- Really? You don’t mind?

S- Not at all. You ready to go now?

B- Sure (Brenda smiles at Sonny. She goes over to Jason and Carly and hugs them) I really missed you guys.

C- Well, we really missed you to B.

J- Yeah, it’s great to have you back babe.

B- Goodnight guys.

Chapter 9

Sonny and Brenda get in his car and he drives her to her apartment. Once they arrive he gets out and walks her to the door.

S- I really had fun tonight Bren.

B- Me too Sonny. Thanks for dancing with me. I hope I didn’t break too many of your toes. (Brenda laughs nervously)

S- Nah, we should do this again sometimes.

B- Yeah, I’d like that (she looks down) Well I guess I should go inside.

She looks into Sonny’s eyes. Sonny moves closer and leans in to kiss her cheek. Brenda turns his head so that their lips meet. They engage in an explosive kiss. After a few minutes the pull apart breathlessly and they smile at each other.

B- Goodnight Sonny

S- Goodnight Brenda

Brenda goes in and sees Lois waiting for her on the couch.

L- Well, it’s about time you got home.

B- Yeah, well thanks for leaving me there without a ride home. I had to get a ride home from Sonny.

L- Oh give it up girl, you were too wrapped up in Corinthos to notice that anyone else was there. Admit it. You know it’s true.

B- (Brenda looks at Lois and laughs) Well, when you’re right, you’re right.

Brenda sits down next to Lois.

B- Lo, he’s so amazing. He’s sweet, kind and one hell of a dancer.

L- Yeah, he’s not that bad lookin’ either, right?

B- Yeah, I mean those dimples, come on. (Brenda and Lois laugh)

Chapter 10

The Next Morning

(the phone rings)

L- Hello?

S- Lo, is Brenda there?

L- What no hello? Oh I see how it is.

S- Hello Lo. How are you?

L- Ya know I’m great. I really like sharing an apartment with Bren. Ned and me...

S- (interrupts her) Lo. LO!

L- What?

S- Is Bren there?

L- Of course.

S- Well could I talk to her?

L- Yeah sure.

(yells) Bren PHONE!!!

B- (yells back) Coming!

L- (phone) She’s coming.... Hello? Sonny?

S- Lo is that you? I think I just lost my hearing. (he laughs)

L - Very funny Corinthos. Shut Up.

Brenda comes down the stairs and takes the phone from Lois.

B- Hello?

S- Hi, Bren. How are you today?

B- I’m good and yourself?

S- Wonderful. What are you doing today?

B - Well, I have an interview for Deception but after that I’m free for the rest of the day.

S- Well, I was wondering if you were going to the picnic tonight?

B- Yeah I can‘t wait.

S- Great then I‘ll see you there.

B- Yeah. (she smiles) I‘ll be there.

S- Ok, good luck today.

B- Ok, thanks, bye Sonny.
