B- (shocked) You? You wouldn’t want to go out with someone like me.

S- And, why not?

B- Because you’re too good, you deserve someone better.

S- Well, what if I said all I wanted was you?

B- Then I’d tell you you’re out of your mind.

S- I really don’t think so Bren. I really care about you.

B- Really?

S- Yeah, don’t sound so surprised. I’ve wanted to get to know you better since the first time I saw you.

B- What would you say if I told you I feel the same about you? When we were dancing, at the party, it felt so good to be in your arms.

S- I’d say Brenda, would you consider starting a relationship with me?

B- I would love to.

They look into each other’s eyes. Sonny leans toward Brenda and puts his hands on her face. They move closer until their lips meet in a passionate kiss. They pull away breathless and smile at each other.

S- What do you say we go back with the others?

B- I say, I’ll follow you anywhere.

S- Let’s go.

They help each other up. Sonny puts his arms around Brenda as they walk back to where the rest of the group was watching them. The guys see them coming and they all turn away and start talking to each other. Sonny and Brenda look at each other and laugh.

B- It seems like everyone has been watching us.

S- They’re just jealous.

B- Oh I seriously doubt that.

S- I don’t. (he dimples at her)

B- You’re too much.

They sit down next to each other at the table. Under the table they are still holding hands.

L- So, are you okay now, Bren?

B- Yeah. (looks at Sonny) I’m great, thanks for asking.

Lky- Ok, now that everyone is all right, let’s eat.

Liz- Is food the only thing you think of.

Lky- Not always.

Everyone laughs.

CHAPTER 17

A week later Brenda is sitting at Kelly’s talking to Carly.

C- So how are things coming with you and Sonny?

B- Things are really great. I really enjoy being with him. He puts up this tough exterior but inside he’s such a softy.

C- Jason is the exact same way. We’re just lucky to know that side of them.

Lois rushes in and over to them.

L- Guys come on we have to go shopping. I have to go to Victoria’s Secret and you two are coming with me.

C- Whoa. A little surprise for Nedly?

L- He’s coming back from his business trip early and I want to have a surprise set up for him. Anybody here know how to cook?

B- Don’t look at me, everything I touch burns.

C- Same here. Maybe you should ask Sonny, he can cook anything.

B- Yeah that’s right.

L- How could I forget Corinthos. I’ll have to call him. Now lets go. Hurry, hurry, I’m working on a time limit here.

Two hours later the girls arrive back at Lo and Bren’s apartment.

C- I’m exhausted. I never knew anybody could run to that many stores in that little amount of time.

B- I wonder if Sonny is going to like this. (she holds up a violet negligee) I mean we haven’t had sex yet and I don’t want to be too forward.

C- Trust me he’ll love it. He’ll most likely take it as a complement not you being overly forward.

B- You really think?

L- Yeah we really think. Now dial Corinthos’ number and hand me the phone.

Lois on the phone with Sonny-

L- Yeah, come on you know you love it.

L- Only a little pasta dish.

L- Oh how long could it really take.

L- Well you can still do that.

L- Aw thanks. I owe ya one.

L- Here’s Bren.

B- Sonny?

S- Hey sweetheart. Do you believe I have to cook for her.

B- That’s because your such a sweetie.

S- I’m doing it for you. I’d hate for her to burn down your apartment. I mean then where would you live? Well I’d let you stay here with me. Hey that’s a good idea, tell Lo that I’m not cooking.

B- Oh Sonny. Your adorable.

S- Are you going to be around while I cook? Because you know I might need some help.

B- Well, I don’t cook, but I’ll be here to watch.

S- Great. Tell Lo to cool it and I’ll be over in a few minutes.’

B- I will. bye sonny

S- Bye Bren.

An hour later Lois and Carly are cleaning the apartment while Sonny and Brenda are in the kitchen.

Brenda comes over to Sonny and wraps her arms around him and starts kissing his neck. He turns around and his lips come crashing down on her mouth. They are still passionately kissing when Lois walks in on them.

L- Hey, you two. Hey! Corinthos you’re supposed to be cooking.

S- I am, I am. It’s almost finished Lo.

L- Great. Now Bren, can you do me a favor and not stay here tonight?

B- Oh, fine, Lo. Just throw me out of our apartment.

L- But Bren, this is really important for me. I’ll owe ya one.

B- Yeah, well I plan to remember that. Sonny you heard her right?

S- Yeah I heard her. Sweetheart, you can stay at my place tonight.

B- (she walks into his arms) Yeah?

S- Yeah.

B- (whispers in his ear) Good because I have a surprise for you.

S- (hoarsely) Oh yeah? (he kisses her neck)

B- Yeah, now I’m gonna go pack a bag while you hurry up and finish this dinner.

S- Okay baby.

CHAPTER 18

Sonny holds the door open for Brenda. She turns around a kisses him. When they’re breathless they pull apart.

S- Sweetheart, you can put your bag in my room. I’m gonna go start on dinner.

B- Okay, thanks baby.

Brenda puts her bags down and looks for candles. Once she finds some she takes her time and places them around the room.

B- Perfect. Just perfect.

She goes downstairs to find Sonny still slaving in the kitchen. She opens the fridge and grabs herself a soda.

B- Sonny, you want some?

S- No thanks baby. I’m almost finished here, why don’t you take the plates and put them on the table?

B- Sure.

Brenda sets the table and then Sonny comes out with the food.

B- Oh, what do we have here?

S- Pasta with clam sauce and brandy.

B- Sounds and smells delicious.

Sonny puts the food on the table. He twirls the pasta on this fork and brings it up to Brenda’s mouth, to which she accepts.

B- Oh Sonny this is wonderful.

They continue to feed each other until their plates are empty. Sonny gets up turns on the radio and goes into the kitchen. Brenda watches him go a smile constantly on her face. A minute later Sonny returns with a bowl of freshly washed strawberries and chocolate sauce. He places them on the table and reaches his hand out to Brenda.

Sonny pulls her closer to him and holds her hand over his heart while his other rests on her lower back. They dance slowly together when Brenda pulls away from him. She looks deeply into his eyes and can see his desire building. Sonny leans forward and his lips capture hers in fiery kiss.

He walks backward towards the stairs. Before going up Brenda pulls out of his embrace. Sonny starts to say something but Brenda quiets him by placing her finger to his lips. She goes over to the table and grabs the strawberries and chocolate sauce. She walks back over to him and kisses him hotly. They continue kissing as they make their way upstairs to his bedroom.

Once they reach his room he takes the strawberries and chocolate from Brenda and places it on his night-table. He notices the candles she placed about and he lights them. Once he finished he walks back over to Brenda and places his hands on her face. He kisses her and then pulls back. Looking deeply into her eyes, “You sure?”. She looks back at him full of desire, “I’ve never been surer of anything in my life.”

That’s all Sonny needed to hear. He kisses her again and again. He moves his hands to her waist and captures the end of her shirt, which he lifts over her head. His lips crash upon hers as he gently lays her down upon the bed and then he lays next to her. They are still kissing when Brenda rolls over on top of him. His eyes open in surprise but quickly close enjoy the pleasure she is giving him. Brenda unbuttons his shirt and kisses his exposed chest. Soon his shirt has joined hers on the floor.

Sonny flips Brenda over so that now he is on top of her. Brenda’s fingers runs in his hair, then they move down his back and to the front of his pants. She does her best to quickly undo his belt and zipper, as desire is flowing through her, but soon his pants along with his boxers are off him and on the floor.

She then pushes him over and runs her fingers down his chest. She takes him in her mouth slowly sucking and gently flicking the tip. Sonny moans as his hand grab her hair. Brenda begins sucking harder and applying more pressure. Sonny is sure that he’s about to explode when he takes her head in his hands and brings her mouth back up to his. He kisses her over and over again while he slides down her jeans and panties.

He slowly enters her thrusting at a dangerously slow paces. He takes her hands in his and holds them tightly over their heads. Brenda wraps her legs around him locking her ankles together. He thrusts faster and faster as their breathing is becoming ragged. They are quickly overcome with ecstasy as they reach their peaks together and scream each others name.

Sonny rolls off of Brenda when his breathing had become normal again. She cuddles up close to him, resting her head on his chest. He runs his fingers on her back and watches as her eyes close. Soon he hears her breathing become slow and realizes that she’s asleep. He pulls the blanket up around them then he too closes his eyes and falls into a peaceful sleep.
