Chapter 1

Brenda just turned 18 and is finally finished boarding school in Switzerland. She received her inheritance on her birthday and made plans to move into an apartment with Lois Cerillo. Lois was Brenda’s bestfriend back in Port Charles. Lois along with Robin Scorpio, Carly Benson, Jason Morgan, Ned Ashton and Lucky Spencer. She hasn’t seen any of her friends in two years. Two years ago, her mother Veronica passed away and she was sent to live with her father Harlan who immediately shipped her off to boarding school. She had remained in touch with Lois and Robin through letters and the occasional phone call. She couldn’t believe she was actually going home. She smiles as the airplane lands and she steps foot back in PC. She looks up and sees Lois running toward her.

L- Hey Bren (she tightly wraps her arms around her friend)

B- Oh Lo I missed you so much

L- Let’s go get ya bags and then we can go to the apartment I picked out for us. I can’t wait for you to see it. Ya gonna die.

B- Great, lead the way.

A half an hour later they both walk into the apartment. Lois goes in first and turns on all the lights. Brenda can’t believe her eyes. The carpet is a light beige color and walls are almost peach. The sofa and chairs are light brown leather.

L- What do ya think? Is this the perfect pad or what?

B- Lo this is absolutely amazing.

L- Ok, I know ya must be jet lagged but who cares. I’ll show you ya room and then you gotta get changed. I promised Robin that we would meet her at Kelly’s before lunch. Now come on get moving.

B- (laughing as Lois pushes her up the stairs) It’s so great to be home.

Ten minutes later Brenda rushes down the stairs. She is wearing faded jeans with holes in both knees. She has on a 3/4 sleeve tee and her hair is piled into a messy bun.

B- Ok let’s rock.

L- Looking good. It’s great to have you back Bren.

They head over to Kelly’s

Chapter 2

Brenda and Lois walk in and they see Robin. Robin is there with a guy, who Brenda assumes is her boyfriend Stone. As soon and Robin sees Brenda she gets out of her seat and hugs her.

B- Hey little sister. Hope you haven’t been getting into too much trouble.

R- Hey Bren, well you know me always one to go against authority. (she laughs) Bren, I would finally like to introduce you to my boyfriend Stone. Stone this is my big sister Brenda.

B- Mike Cates? You‘re Stone? Aren’t you Jagger’s brother?

St- Yeah. Nice to see you again. Robin has told me a lot about you.

B- Well only believe half of it, even though it’s all probably true. (they all laugh) It’s nice to see you again too.

They all are eating and laughing and enjoying each others company, when Carly and Jason and Ned walk in. Brenda stands up and hugs Ned.

N- What’s up little sister?

B- Not much, just really glad to be home. (she hugs Jason and high fives Carly)

C- Hey Jase, how about you get me something to drink? (Jason mumbles under his breath as he gets up to get her the drink)

B- (laughs) Well, I’m glad to see that some things never change. So he’s still wrapped around your little finger, huh, Car?

L- Yeah the boy has got it bad.

C- Well it’s great to have you back Bren. Now our whole gang is together again.

B- Yeah it’s really great. I can’t tell you how many times I wished for this day.

L- Well sorry guys but us lovely ladies have some shopping to do. We expect to see all of you tonight at Luke’s for Brenda’s welcome home party. It’s bound to be a blast so everyone of you’s should better show up.

Brenda, Lois, Robin and Carly get up to leave. As they are walking out the door in walks Sonny Corinthos. He’s looking down and bumps right into Lois.

Chapter 3

L- Hey man watch where ya goin’. (she notices it’s Sonny) Corinthos what’s with you today. You almost ran me down.

S- Sorry Cerillo, busy day. Too many things to do. (notices Brenda) So, who’s your new friend here?

L- Oh sorry Sonny this is Brenda Barrett. Brenda this is Sonny Corinthos.

B- Nice to meet you, Sonny. (she shakes his hand)

S- (he brings her hand up to his lips and lightly kisses it) The pleasure is all mine, Brenda.

They stare at each other. Lois grows impatient and pulls Brenda out the door.

L- You guys can stare at each other all you want later, right now we gotta get goin’. See you all later.

The girls leave and Robin, Lois and Carly begin laughing at Brenda.

B- What’s so funny?

R- You are. You just met the man and I can only imagine the thoughts that are running around in your head.

B- Well he is so sexy. Lois how come you never mentioned him to me before? And how did you become such good friends with him?

L- Sorry Bren, I didn’t know he was ya type. Sonny and me go way back. We both grew up together in Bensonhurst. Sonny lived across the street from me. He came to PC right after you left for boarding school. Our friendship picked up right where it left off.

C- Are we gonna go or what? I gotta get me a great outfit for tonight.

B- Let’s go. Hey did I tell you I have a meeting with Lucy Coe tomorrow.

R- Wow, Bren, that’s great.

B- Yeah, she seen some of the work I did in Europe and liked it so much she wants to offer me a contract at Deception.

C- So you’re going big time on us Barrett. Wow now we’ll all know a famous model. Cool.

Chapter 4

Back inside Kelly’s Sonny walks over to the table where Ned, Jason and Stone are all sitting.

J- Hey man, how’s it going?

S- Wonderful. So, do you guys know Brenda Barrett?

N- Yes, we do and if you play her or use her in anyway I’ll hear about it and then there’ll be trouble so you better watch out. (Ned leaves)

S- (smiles) What’s his problem?

J- Brenda is like a little sister to Ned. He’s just overprotective, that’s all.

S- So how do you all you guys know her? And Stone why haven’t you mentioned her to me before?

St- Hey, don’t look at me. I just met her today myself. She’s Robin’s best-friend and “older sister“.

J- Bren moved here years ago with her mom. Bren, Carly, me, Robin and Lois are all best-friends. Her mom died two years ago and she had to go live with her dad. He sent her to boarding schools in Europe. Bren finished school and now she moved here into an apartment with Lo.

S- Hmm. Well now I have an even better reason for dropping by to see Lo.

J- Just be careful Sonny. She’s more fragile than she looks.

Back at the mall Lois, Brenda, Carly, and Robin are trying on dresses for the party. Lois decides on a black dress, Carly a purple dress, Robin a light blue dress and Brenda is still looking.

C- Hey Bren, how about this one? (she holds up a long silver dress with a slit up each side.

B- Wow, I like it. Let me go try it on. (she tries it on and then returns)

L- Well how did it look?

R - Yeah, did it fit?

B- It fits wonderful and it looks even better than that. Now for shoes.

They all head to the shoe department.

Chapter 5

Sonny’s Penthouse

St - Hey man, I have a date with Robin tonight so the place is all yours.

S- Ok, see you later.

L & B’s apartment

L- Come on Bren, you can’t be late for your own party.

B- I’m comin‘, I’m comin’. (she walks down the stairs and stops right infront of Lois) So how does it look?

L- Bren, it looks amazing. He’ll definitely notice you in that.

B- Who?

L- Don’t act like miss innocent, Bren. I’m your best-friend remember, I know how you think. Sonny of course.

B- I didn’t buy this dress for him.

L- Yeah well I seen the way you two were looking at each other.

B- Well it wouldn’t hurt for him to notice me. Lois, the man is really hot.

L- (laughs)
