The Underground
The Underground
(You see a red 2001 Viper GTS driving along the
docks of Port Charles. It’s dark outside and is in mid-Spring. The sky is light
with stars and a full moon hitting the hood of the car as it races along the
road.)
“Gia, this place is past dead, I mean Michael Jackson’s Thriller had more
living people than Port Charles.” Shasta lifts her right hand and props it
along the door with her head resting on it.
“Shasta, Michael Jackson’s Thriller pretty much only had two ‘living’ people in
it.” Gia turned her, laughs as she watched Shasta scrunches her eyebrows
together.
“That’s my point, why did we decided to go here anyway?”
“You wanted to go on an adventure so here we are. Why? Are you regretting this
‘move’ or ‘adventure’?” Gia shifts gear and rounds the corner passing a small
diner called Kelly’s.
“Well, at he current moment…yes!” Shasta lets out a small sigh and rolls her
eyes, as she sees the sign for Kelly’s. “Gia please lets just turn around and
go back. I mean Brooklyn is not that far away.”
“No, we are staying here. You haven’t even given it a chance.” Gia looks at the
GPS on the dashl and then back onto the road. “Listen, we are almost at The
Underground, so before you make up your mind lets check out the night life.”
She smiles as she sees the sign for The Underground.
Shasta follows Gia’s eyes towards the sign. “It doesn’t look like I have much
of choice here Gia, we are at the club now.”
Gia lets out a chuckle as Shasta exhales a deep sigh and looks at Gia. She
pulls into the parking lot and parks next to Jag. She turns off the engine and
opens the door and slides out.
Shasta opens her door and grabs her purse from the back seat. She turns around
and smiles. “As least we know someone has a nice ride.” She nods her head in
the direction for the Jag.

(The Underground has Jennifer Lopez’s I’m Real
remix with Ja’ Rule playing. The entrance is large and has stairs going
‘underground’ to the main floor. The entrance is beige concrete and has pieces
of concrete missing and therefore showing patches of brick. The main floor is
in the shape of a dome. The walls are of the same décor as the main entrance.
Straight ahead is the main bar and along the right side of the room have
couches and chairs. They are wrapped in a tiger, leopard, or zebra print. The
left wall has a 2 feet ledge covering the whole left wall with water
overflowing in it. Thus causing the water to cascade down the wall and under
the dance floor, which is covered by glass.”
Nikolas places his drink back down on the table and looks towards his brother,
Lucky. “Tell me again why we are here?”
Lucky moves his hand and pats Nikolas’s back. “Man, I’m here for my cousin
Carly in order to show some support.”
“OK, so then when did you start to care about your cousin Carly? I thought you hated
her after the whole situation with Elizabeth.”
“That was before I got to know Carly.” Lucky takes a handful of peanuts and
pops them in his mouth. “I’ve seen first hand as to what Sonny did to her. It
takes a lot of guts to leave the person you love and to stay away. I guess you
could say we understand each other now.”
Nikolas leans back in his chair and nods. “As long as you are –“
“Hey Cousin, Nikolas.” Carly gives Lucky a hug and smile nicely at Nikolas.
“It’s nice that you two could come!” She smiled happily again.
“Carly, we wouldn’t miss your opening night of your new start. The place looks
amazing!” Lucky scans the room and smiles.
Nikolas smiles at Carly and nods. “Yeah, Carly you should be really proud of
yourself.”
“Thanks Nikolas.” She looks at the door and then back at Lucky. “Where is
Lizzie?” She tilts her head and makes a face of pure disgust.
Nikolas lets out a chuckle and waits patiently for Luck’s response.
“Liz and I broke-up, it wasn’t working anymore especially after the Jason
incident.” Lucky’s eyelids widen as Carly gives him another massive hug. He
chuckles and returns the hug.
Nikolas smiles at the interaction between his brother and Carly.

Gia walks up to The Underground’s door. “I fell
like we are walking into a vault.” She opens the large circular door.
Shasta watches as Gia opens the door and Ja’ Rule’s voice comes towards them.
“Now, this I like.”
Gia begins to descend down the stairs. She continues to admire the walls and
the décor gracing the walls. “Shasta, this place has is fantastic! I mean it
has better atmosphere than any other clubs in Brooklyn.”
Shasta looks at Gia and raises an eyebrow. “Dam straight!”
Gia laughs. “What happened to Port Charles being past dead?”
Shasta turns to look at Gia and tilts her head. “Port Charles IS dead, but The
Underground is definitely living! Kind of ironic wouldn’t you say?”
Gia gently his Shasta’s arm. “Girl, you are just too much. C’mon, lets get down
there!”
(The lady’s continued to descend down the stairs. Gia is wearing a pair of
black pants that have slits up both sides up to her lower calf. She has a pair
of black stilettos on. Her top is made from the same fabric. The front of Gia’s
shirt comes up making a ‘vi’ showing off Gia’s well tones stomach. The ‘v’
points just below her breasts and is held on by a single butterfly snap. The
arms go to her wrists, but have as lit up both arms, below her elbow. Her hair
is up in a high ponytail. Shasta has her dark brown hair in loose curls
trickling down her back. She has on a red spaghetti strap dress that loops down
her back with a pair of black stilettos also. Nikolas has on dark pants with a
cream colored shirt while Lucky has on grey pants and a baby blue shirt. Both
are tight fitting and show off their bodies.)

“Lucky I am so glad you dumped ‘it’. You can do
much better than that one!” She places her index and middle finger up to her
left ear and nods her head. “OK, thanks Matt.” She looks back at Lucky and
Nikolas. “Sorry, I need to leave, I’ll be back though.” Carly waves and begins
to walk away towards the entrance.
Nikolas runs his hands through his hair and exhales. “Lucky you have done a
complete 360! I mean I can understand breaking up with Elizabeth, I could
slowly see you falling out of love with her. But I have never seen you this
happy before…with CARLY!”
Lucky laughs and shakes his head. “Nikolas, big bro, I can understand your
concern about Carly, but Sonny ripped her heart out and ate if for dinner. Her
destroyed their love and broke Carly when she finally thought she had found
someone who wouldn’t do that to her.” He pauses and clinches his jaw. “Just
like how Jason ruined what I had with Elizabeth. I guess Carly and I have an
indivisible connection. So, cheers to starting a new.” Lucky raises his glass
towards Nikolas and waits.
Nikolas laughs, tilts his head and raises his glass. “To starting new.” He hits
his glass with Lucky’s and looks towards the door. His smile slowly fade and
his eyes glaze over.
“Man, what is wrong with you?” Lucky follows his gaze towards the entrance and
soon has the same look at Nikolas.

Gia laughs as she enters the main area of The
Underground. “Shasta this is…”
“Amazing?” Shasta continued to scan the room in awe. “Who would’ve thought that
such a boring town would hold such an amazing…”
“Treasure?”
Both Gia and Shasta whip around only to see a beautiful blonde haired women
smiling at them.
Carly beams at the two. “Carly Spencer, owner of The Underground. It’s a
pleasure to have you join us.” She holds out her hand waiting for one of them
to shake it.
Gia’s eyes the stranger and raises her eyebrow and then shakes her hand. “Gia
Campbell, and this is Shasta Mayen. You have a nice joint here.”
“Well, thank-you. Can I assume that you two are new to Port Charles? I don’t
recall seeing you around town and trust me I would notice you two, you don’t
really fit into the whole Port Charles look.” Carly watches the two exchange
glances. “I mean that in a compliment.”
Shasta smiles. “Yes, we’re from Brooklyn.”
“Have you met anyone yet?” Carly raises an eyebrow and begins to lead them
towards Lucky and Nikolas.
Gia flings her head back and laughs. “No, Carly we just got in and you are the
first citizen we’ve met, why?”
“Well, if this is your first time in this town I am making sure you have
company. Male company actually.”

Nikolas continues to watch the mysterious
beauty. “Lucky her skin reminds me…”
“Tanned?”
“No, I was actually going for butterscotch or mocha…” Nikolas looks at the
other lady and laughs. “Oh-yeah definitely tanned.” He watches Lucky smile and
looks back at he first one.
Luck’s smile continues to grow as he sees Carly bring her over. “Nikolas, is it
just me or are they walking this way?”
“No, Lucky they are heading directly to us.” He laughs and turns around so his
back is facing the two mysterious ladies. Lucky follows suit.

“Carly, where are you taking us?” Shasta
continues to follow Carly and Gia.
“You two are new to Port Charles and I want you to have a good time. Since, I
can’t be making sure you’re havign a good time I’ll get my cousin Lucky too.”
She smiles and walks past the dance floor.
“Lucky?” Gia raises an eyebrow and holds in a sniker.
“Don’t hold his name against him.” She taps Lucky’s shoulder and watches him
turn around. “Lucky, Nikolas this is Shasta and Gia. They’re new to town.”
Carly grins like a cheshire cat.
Gia stars at Nikolas and runs her tongue across her lips and winks. “Gia
Campbell.”
Nikolas smiles at the gesture. “Nikolas Cassadine, pleasure to meet you Gia.”
“Hi, Lucky Spencer, I see you’ve met my cousin Carly.”
Shasta continues to gaze at Lucky. “Yes, she was kind enough to introduce
herself.”
“Well, I need to get back to the guests. Lucky I trust Nikolas and you will
make these two lovely ladies have a good evening?” Carly raises an eybrow and
smiles.
“We will.” Lucky nods and brings his attention back to Shasta.
“Good.” SHe turns back towards the girls. “Gia, Shasta, welcome to The Underground.”
She turns and leaves.

“I can’t believe we’ve been talking with them
for two hours!” Gia pulls out her lipstick and begins to apply it to her lips.
“I know. Listen, Gia I have a plan.” Shasta smiles at Gia.

“Damn, Lucky Gia is...is...she’s amazing!”
“So, is Shasta...hey here they come.” Lucky’s eyes beam and follows Shasta as
she walks towards them. “Your back.”
Shasta smiles wickedly and nods. “Lucky go play pool.”
“Ummm...OK.” He stands up and starrs down at Nikolas. “You gonna come?”
“Nah, you two can go.” He looks at Gia. “Unless yo uwanna go?”
“No, I’m good.” GIa moves and sits closer to Nikolas.
Lucky smiles “All right have fun.” He puts his arm on Shasta’s waist and leads
her upstairs.
“Looks like we are along at last.” Gia looks at Nikolas and smiles the same
smile Shasta just had.
“Yes, alone. What would you like to do?” Nikolas watcheds her every move.
“Dance.” Gia winks at Nikolas and walks towards the dance floor. She slowly
sways her hips putting him in a complete trance.

(3 hours have passed and Nikolas and Gia are up
in he Outside balcony wrapped up in each other on a chair.)
“I am so glad I came to this place tonight. It was the best decision I have
ever mdae.” She smile and places her head back on his chest.
“Ditto.” Nikolas kisses her shoulder and smiles.
(The music stops playing and you hear Carly’s voice)
“Lady’s and Gentlemen, I just wanted to take this time to say thank-you for all
coming to The Underground. It’s a place where Magic is truly in the air, and
all your dreams coming true...without further adieu...WELCOME TO THE
UNDERGROUND!”
(Nikolas and Gia exchange and glance and moving to a kiss...Magic was already
doing it’s job.)
