The Cover Up
Gia is haunted by the memory of the car accident and the fact that she is responsible for Elizabeth being in the hospital. Gia has nightmares about what happened, but Nikolas assures her that he is handling the situation. Nikolas has paid off the waiter who served Gia drinks and paid someone to be an eyewitness to the fact that it was Courtney---not Gia---
who was the driver who went through the red light. At the hospital, Elizabeth wakes up after surgery to find Lucky there to offer his love and support. Later, Nikolas arrives and Elizabeth tells him that she can't remember the details of the car accident. When Taggert arrives to question Elizabeth, Nikolas manages to put him off for awhile, until at least after Nikolas has a chance to talk to Elizabeth. Nikolas tries to help Liz remember, but what he is actually doing is planting his version of the crash in Elizabeth's head---a version in which Gia doesn't go through the red light. Elizabeth tells Nikolas that what she remembers isn't the way he describes it. When Taggert returns, Elizabeth cannot recqll all the details, but she tells Taggert that it was Courtney who ran the red light.
All does not sound right to Taggert and he becomes a little suspicious of his sister Gia and her story. Later, Nikolas keeps trying to reason with Elizabeth that the trauma is to blame for her memory being a little fuzzy about the accident. Will Gia get caught? Will Elizabeth remember? What will happen to Courtney?
SONNY
Will Love Conquer All?
It hasn't been smooth sailing for Sonny and carly, but will the time that they have spent apart bring them closer together? Although they are divorced, they keep winding up involved in each others lives. Carly has shown tremendous restraint in keeping out of Sonny's troubles with his newfound sister Courtney. Although Sonny doesn't like Carly being in business with Jax, he has given her the room to grow and prove herself. However, when trouble rears its ugly head, these two are always there for each other. Courtney's friendship with AJ will have a devestating effect on Sonny......and you can count on Carly to be there for him. Will there be happy times ahead for them? Stay tuned!
Sonny's relationship with his newfound sister Courtney, gets even rockier this week on GH when she decides to "disappear" after her car accident.
The best place to hide from Sonny, of course, is in the apartment of his mortal enemy, AJ.
"Courtney is not going to accept Sonny as an authority figure", declares Megan McTavish. "You've got a young woman rebelling to the umpteenth degree here, because she is rebellling against big guys with guns in their pockets". The intuitive Alexis advises Sonny not to go searching for Courtney, but to back off instead. It's no use. "Sonny is doing his level best, but it is not easy. Nothing for Sonny is easy", says McT. "He is a complicated man with complicated emotions and it is his misfortune that as he tries to draw people near him, he also pushes them away. He identifies so strongly with Courtney; it's almost too much. He wants to fix her because he doesn't know how to fix himself". He'll probably want to fix AJ's wagon before this week is up. one can always dream and that's exactly what happens on GH on Valentine's Day.
LUKE and LAURA
Luke and Laura Reunite
Luke and Laura have parallel dreams;Luke envisions Laura declaring her love and accepting him for who he is, while Laura imagines that Luke returns to her, ready to settle down in a normal life she craves. But Luke's fantasy turns out to be a nightmare since it occurs while he's being held captive by his former fiancee, Jennifer Smith.
Sonny and Alexis have a night of Passion
GH's hottest trio, Carly/Sonny/Alexis find themselves equally tormented. Alexis dreams that Sonny helps her overcome her inhibitions, but Sonny finds himself torn between the two ladies. Gor her part, all Carly wants is Sonny's r-e-s-p-e-c-t.
Lucky's love for Elizabeth returns.
Elizabeth imagines Lucky's love for her has been restored. GH has a nightmare of Nikolas turning into his father. AJ dreams of victory over Sonny. Courtney envisions a romantic night with AJ. And all Ned wants is to make beautiful music with kristina--literally. Will they all wake up alone, or will any of these dreams come true? With Valentine's Day rapidly approaching, it's only natural that love would be in the air in Port Charles. But when it comes to the complicated love life of GH's resident mob boss, Sonny, you can bet that there won't be too many Hallmark moments.
"It's a tricky situation," nods Maurice Benard of his character's relationships with both ex-wife Carly and close pal Alexis. "He's having alot of fun with Alexis but it is bittersweet for him with Carly because in a way, she is moving on." In a potentially big way with Zander, with whom Carly once again locks lips this week. Zander, however, puts the kibosh on the kissin' because he realizes that Carly's feelings are still tied up in Sonny. Meanwhile, Sonny and Alexis reminisce about their trip to Puerto Rico, and Sonny sends her gardenias like the ones she wore during their visit. This leads Alexis to have another fantasy about Sonny, on Valentine's Day, while he dreams about being torn between two women in his life, and Carly envisions regaining Sonny's respect. "Sure, he's got feelings for Carly", relates Benard. "He'll always have feelings for her, especially because they were a family at one point." But by Friday their relationship coule be irreparably jeopardized, when Mrs. Corinthos--divorce papers in hand--seeks out Sonny, only to find him in a close moment with----you guessed it---Alexis.
