Second Chances: Chapter One
It was snowing outside in Canada. It was a beautiful
sight to see the kids outside making snowmans and
having snow fights. The winter night was crisp. The
moon shown in full glow.
AJ stood looking down out his mansion window with his
hands in his pockets at the neighborhood kids nearby
having fun in the snow. He smiled to himself at their
innocence. He wore a pair of black slacks and and
crème turtle neck sweater with his hair cut neatly
short. In his living room there was a blazing fire and
above it hung three Christmas stockings and a very
large Christmas tree stood at the other end of the
room richly decorated with dozens of presents beneath
it.
The phone suddenly rang and AJ walked over to his desk
and answered it. “AJ are you coming home for
Christmas?”, Alan said on the other line. Aj just
laughed, “Dad, how many times do I have to tell you
that Kristina and I will be there for Christmas Eve.”
“I was just checking.” Alan said, realizing how
demanding he sounded and smiled to himself on the
other line. Him and Monica just missed Aj so much.
This was the first time he was coming home to Port
Charles to see the family in over five years. “Your
mother and your sister Skye just keeps bugging me to
call and make sure you haven’t changed your mind, you
know how women are.”Alan said jokingly. AJ and Alan
laughed and then someone on the other line grabbed the
phone from Alan. “Don’t you listen to your father.”
Monica said annoyed. “Hi mom.” Aj said and Monica’s
voice softened at the voice of her son. “It’s just
been so long AJ, and I want to finally meet my
granddaughter and daughter-in-law. Is that so wrong?”
“Ofcourse not mom, and they can’t wait to meet you
too.” AJ said reassuringly. “I promise, that I will
come and it’s about time my wife and daughter met my
crazy family anyway.” AJ said laughing with Monica. Aj
told them he loved them and hung up.
AJ knew it was time that his new family met his other
life and he didn’t want to break the Quartermaine’s
heart especially, Lila. She had never seen her great
granddaughter and asked so many times. AJ hated not
making her wishes come true and coming back home for
her to see that he was happy and to meet another
member of her family. But AJ couldn’t bring it to
himself to go back to that house after all the pain he
suffered there and to see Edward again. He left PC for
good after him and grandfather had it out again after
the ELQ meeting. It was just as bad as the other
fights they had, but after Skye took over ELQ,
everything got worse between the two. AJ knew that
they couldn’t live under the same roof anymore. He
didn’t blame grandfather for being angry, but he
couldn’t live in that house any longer or live in a
town with a son whom he knew he would never get the
chance to love and be in a house with a family that
would never think he was good enough.
“Daddy, daddy!” a four year old girl screamed and
snapped AJ out of his trance. “Hey, there’s my little
princess.” AJ said happily as his daughter jumped into
his arms and picked her up hugging her for deal life
and kissing her on the forehead. “How was preschool
today?” It was the best daddy!”, the little brunette
girl said covered in a winter coat and wearing a cute
little ribbon in her hair with her arms wrapped around
his neck. “Yeah, she she won a prize for being the
best in her class.”, a beautiful petite woman said
smiling cheerfully walking into the living room taking
off her winter gloves. Her name was Kristina
Cassidine. She had silky long hair and was dressed in
a sophisticated long brown overcoat with a hat on her
head. She came over to AJ and kissed him softly on the
lips with her chilled skin and red nose from the
winter breeze outside.
“No way.” Aj said sarcastically so proud of his
daughter, Natasha Cassidine Quartermaine. Aj put her
down on the couch and Natasha preceded to tell her all
about her fun filled day as Kristina took off her coat
and hat. AJ just stood there laughing with his
daughter enjoying her joyfullness in telling him about
her day.
“Okay, sweetheart, you can tell Daddy all about the
rest of your day later after you wash up and get ready
for dinner, okay?”, Kristina said picking her up.
“I’ll check with Graciela to see if dinner is almost
ready.” AJ said. Kristina gave her husband another
tender kiss on the lips and he kissed her back and he
watched silently as she took their daughter up the
grand stairs. AJ stared up at the precious site of
the two most important people in his life as they
disappeared up the stairs and wondered how he had
gotten so lucky.
Chapter Two:
Aj, Kristina, and Natasha finished having dinner in
their dining room which also had a fireplace. The
dining table was small and comfortable with the finest
china, perfect for a family of three with a crystal
chandelier hanging above it. The blinds on the ceiling
high windows were open revealing the a breathtaking
scenery of the snow covered forest that was behind the
mansion. Aj and Krisitina listened attentively as
their daughter went on and on about everything she did
and learned today. She was a talkative and lively
child just like her mother. They had dinner together
every night. No matter what Kristina and AJ had to do,
they made sure they came home on time to share a
family dinner with their daughter. After everything
they both went through with their own family, Kristina
missed growing up with Alexis and AJ never experienced
a really happy childhood since him and Jason were sent
away to boarding school. They wanted Natasha to have
everything they didn’t, a family with love and trust
and complete understanding. And above all just to
enjoy life and be happy. AJ and Kristina later on
tucked Natasha into bed and AJ read her a bedtime
story. Natasha couldn’t sleep unless her dad read her
one. When he was done, him and Kristina kissed their
daughter goodnight. “Sweet dreams my little princess.”
AJ said in a low voice. “We love you.” Kristina said.
Kristina stood up looking at her daughter in awe as
she fell asleep. AJ came up behind her and hugged her
from behind and they watched Natasha sleep.
Later that night……..
Kristina came downstairs and saw that the dark living
room was filled with lit candles everywhere. “Hey
beautiful.” AJ said in a sexy voice pouring some wine
into two shampagne glasses. “I thought you would want
some desert after that dinner we had.” “Oh did you.”
Kristina said looking over at the two plates of
chocolate cake sitting on the living room table.
“Hmmm.” Aj said licking his lips with more than
chocolate on his mind. AJ walked up close to her and
handed her one of the champagne glasses. “To my
incredible wife.” AJ said toasting in a low voice.
Kristina giggled. “To my incredible husband.”, she
responded in whisper. They clicked the champagne
glasses and sipped it never taking their eyes off of
eachother. “So, my incredible husband, you want to
tell me what’s wrong?” Kristina said getting straight
to the point with concern. AJ grabbed her glass and
put it down with his glass back on the table. He
snaked his hand around her waist bringing her close,
and kissed her passionately and pulled back looking
into her eyes. “Can’t a man ravish his wife without
their being an alterior motive or their being
something wrong?” “Ofcourse.” Kristina said kissing
him back sweetly with a lingering kiss. “But in this
case, I can tell that there is something on your mind.
If something is bothering you, I want you to tell me
so I can make it better.” “Oh baby, you make my life
better every second I am with you.” AJ said kissing
her back. Kristina walked with Aj backwards to the
love sofa never leaving the kiss. They gently fell
back with AJ on top of her. “I love you.” AJ said
brushing her hair from her face and looking deep into
the only pair of eyes that knew him inside out. “And I
love you.” Kristina said to the only man that made her
feel complete. AJ smiled and made love to his wife
with every part of his soul that night.
AJ and Kristina sat up on the large sofa naked covered
up with a large blanket to keep them warm. They
finally got around to eating desert. They both had a
fork and were snuggled up together eating from the one
plate feeding eachother playfully. Some of the
chocolate cake accidently fell on to AJ’s chest.
“Oops, we are making a mess.” AJ said putting the
plate down behind them on the back table. “It’s
perfect.” Kristina said in a seductively husky voice
licking and eating the chocolate off of AJ’s smooth
and hard chest with her hair all over him. “MMmmmm” Aj
said loving the sensation that went through his body
as she turned him and kissed the top of her head in
satisfaction. “So..” Kristina said with her hand on
his chest laying her head on it looking up at him and
AJ smoothing her hair back with his hand. “..you gonna
tell me what’s wrong now.”
Chapter Three:
Aj looked back at his wife. She always had a good
instinct and could tell when something was on his
mind. He explained to her that Alan and Monica called
making sure they were coming for Christmas. “I know
this will be hard for you to see them again.
Especially seeing Edward and being in the same town
with Micheal.” Kristina said resting her head on his
chest and both of them hugging eachother. “ I don’t
know how to do this Kristina. I have dreaded this
moment for years. Facing them again.” AJ said getting
up and putting his pants back on. Kristina sat up.
“You don’t have to do this if you don’t want to. We
could just have your parents come here.” Aj looked
back at her again, “Why? I can’t keep running from my
past. Besides I promised Lila that she would finally
meet the woman who stole my heart.” AJ said with a
smile. “And what about Alexis? I know you miss her.”
Aj was right, Kristina hadn’t seen her sister in
awhile and already told her she was coming for the
holidays. “We’ll get through this AJ. Your not alone
anymore. You have me and Natasha and together, we can
deal with anything.” Kristina said reassurangly. “I
know. I don’t know what my life would be like now if I
hadn’t met you.” AJ said taking her soft hand wearing
her wedding ring and placed a light kiss on it.
*Flashback*
AJ met Kristina in Paris. She was doing a photo shoot
there for some cosmetic company. After he left Port
Charles, he just traveled for a while from one place
to another, mostly in Europe. He didn’t know where he
was going and what he was going to do. He just wanted
to escape the pain he felt and get far away from PC as
he could get. Loosing Micheal again and having Edward
tear into him about how unworthy he was just made him
depressed and angry. He thought he would start
drinking, but after being sober for over a year, he
wasn’t going to loose control like that again. Sure he
drank a sip here and there now, but that was only on
special occasions with Kristina. Heck, the whole town
of PC drank more than he did. He was proud of himself
for being able to control his drinking habit that way.
He introduced himself to Kristina in a café after
remembering where he had seen her before. It was in
the PC Herald. The Cassidine/Spencer mess was a big
headline back then. She said she had heard about him,
not anything good, but she still didn’t judge him.
Kristina is someone who didn’t judge on what she had
heard, she wanted to see for herself who AJ
Quartermaine was as a person, and not the myth that he
was a lowlife, drunkard baby killer that everyone
wanted her to believe. They spent many nights in at
that café talking about their lives and the things
they had done. Kristina told her about her life before
the Cassidines and AJ told her what his life was like
growing up as a Quartermaine. They actually became
intrigued by one another and enjoyed eachother’s
company.
They whined and dined in the finest restaurants in
Paris. One day AJ took her sight seeing. He loved her
love of life. She inspired him to take risks and live
life on the edge and to take nothing for granted. That
evening they came upon a large wishing fountain after
awhile of strolling in one of the city gardens after
having dinner. The moon was full and there was a
slight breeze blowing. The fragrance from the roses
and tulips were intoxicating. Kristina was dressed in
a short red dress and her hair was up with a few
strands down that framed her face. AJ was wearing a
black armani suit. Anyone who saw them would think
they were the most beautiful couple in love. “Let’s
make a wish AJ” Kristina said taking a coin out of her
purse and giving AJ one too. You first.” AJ gave her a
wicked smile, “Ok, I know exactly what I want.” He
said confidently. He closed his eyes and dropped the
coin in the fountain. “Ok, my turn.” Kristina said
closing her eyes with her back to the fountain and she
dropped her coin in from behind. When she opened her
eyes, AJ was so close to her licking his lips, and
staring down at her luscious cherry lips. Stumbling
her words nervously, “A..AJ, what are you doing.” She
said in slow whisper. “Making my wish come true.” AJ
said in a husky whisper back. Before she could say
anything, he descended his hungry lips down to hers
in a slow lingering kiss exploring every inch of her
mouth with his tongue. He pulled back and looked into
her now smokey eyes and before he knew it she grabbed
the front of his suit and pulled him back down for the
most passionate and electric kiss he had ever
experienced. After a few long seconds, Kristina pulled
back, and with her thumb wiped her lipstick off his
lips. “She looked up into his desired filled brown
eyes. “I want you AJ. Now.”

Chapter Four:
Aj thought for sure he was dreaming now. The most
beautiful creature he had ever laid eyes upon was now
standing in front of him telling him that she wanted
him. AJ looked deep into her innocent eyes for the
truth, he wanted to make sure that she really wanted
this. “Are you sure.” Aj said caressing her arm with
his fingers. “Once we do this, there is no going
back.” Kristina grabbed the back of his neck and
pulled him down for another passionate kiss and pulled
back once again. “Does that answer your question?”
Kristina said making it clear now that she was sure.
AJ smiled. He could tell Kristina was feeling alittle
cold now, so he slipped his jacket off and put it
around her shoulders. Then he put his arms around her
and guided her back to his sterling new jaguar. Like a
gentleman, he opened the door for her and then got in
himself once he closed her door. Before Kristina knew
it, AJ was now speeding through the quiet streets of
Paris to get back to the hotel. Kristina couldn’t help
but giggle at AJ now. He turned back to her when they
stopped at a red light and held her hand in his for a
moment. He looked at her with such caring eyes that it
made her stomach get more butterflies than when he
kissed her by the fountain. When the light changed
back, AJ took out his cell phone and said something
into the phone. Kristina couldn’t here what he said
between his low voice and the loud breeze that whizzed
by them while driving.
When they got to the hotel, they rode up in the
elevator to their floor where both their suites were.
While in the elevator, AJ pinned Kristina up against
the wall and was now feasting on her neck. Kristina
thought she was going to loose her mind right there
and let him take her. But then he raised his head to
look at her. “Not here. I want this to be special.” AJ
said. When they got off the elevator, Kristina looked
from her suite to his. “So, which one?” She said
waiting for him to decide. AJ with his hands in his
pocket gave her a big grin, took her hand in his and
led her to his suite. He opened the door and allowed
her to enter first. Kristina walked in and gasped at
what she saw. “Do you like? I know it’s been awhile
since I’ve been with a woman, but I think I still have
a few tricks left.” Aj said shutting the door behind
him winking. “Oh AJ!” Kristina said looking around.
The bed was covered with soft pink petals all over his
satin blue sheets. The room was dark and glowing with
dozens of candles with soft romantic music playing.
And there were vases of the most exotic flowers on
every table and stand that drove the senses wild.
Kristina turned back around to Aj who was staring back
at her with intense eyes. “AJ, it’s perfect.”, she
said in total awe. “Your perfect sweetheart.” AJ said
walking up closer to her and lightly pushing his
jacket off of her shoulders allowing it to drop to the
floor. He placed his forehead on hers. “Did I tell you
how beautiful you looked tonight?” AJ said in a
whisper slowly pushing her dress straps down and
kissing her shoulder inhaling her sweet perfume.
Kristina smiled, “Oh, about a few times.” Kristina
then proceeded to unbutton his shirt allowing her
fingers to roam his bare smooth chest. After she
slipped off his shirt, he grabbed her body close
against him, and looking over her shoulder, he
unzipped her dress from behind and let it fall down to
the floor revealing her nude. AJ then took the pin out
of her hair and she swung her head so her wavy hair
loosened covering her neck and breasts.
Unable to control himself anymore, Aj grabbed
Kristina’s face and kissed her leading her backwards
to the bed. Kristina sat down on the edge of the bed.
AJ knelt down between her silky legs and began to
suckle on her voluptuous breasts while Krisitina
rubbed her fingers through his hair. Feeling herself
getting wet, Kristina moaned into AJ’s ear, “AJ now. I
can’t wait any longer.” AJ looked up at her and got up
and finished undressing taking off his pants. He
towered over and began lowering himself over her, “Get
up there.” AJ said in a demanding husky voice.
Kristina began moving backwards on her back until she
rested her head on the pillows. AJ positioned himself
above her and with his hands resting on each side of
her head, he entered her thrusting slowly and then
faster and harder. Kristina’s hands grabbed the sheets
as they poured into one another. AJ placed his hands
over hers and covered her mouth kissing her to swallow
her moans of ecstasy. When he was done, he rolled over
next to her bringing her to close to him. Kristina
kissed him on the lips and then on the chest. “Baby,
you were amazing.” She said snuggling up to him
falling asleep. AJ looked down at her, kissed her on
the forehead and closed his eyes.
*End Flashback*
“That was the night I fell in love with you. That was
the night we conceived Natasha.” Aj said after he
finished kissing her wedding ring on her finger. “That
night changed my life. I knew that was the beginning
for us.” Kristina said looking back at AJ with love in
her eyes. “I knew my life would never be the same.”
“Any regrets?” said AJ smiling knowing the answer.
“Never.” she said kissing him.
AJ picked Kristina up who was wrapped naked in the
blanket off the sofa, and kissing her lips with her
hands wrapped around his neck, he ascended up the
stairs to their master bedroom.
