Prologue-
Ladies and Gentleman we present to you a story filled with so many twists and turns you will feel like you are riding a rollercoaster. Indeed it is a rollercoaster, of love, life, and the way fate brings each and everyone of us to what we are destined to be. Take a chance, hop in for the ride, and throw any previous notions you have of general hospital aside. This is on ride you won't forget. Buckle up and please keep your arms and legs in at all times. If you are afraid of a little height and new ideas, you might want to get off now. We will have you spinning so fast Port Charles as you know it will change right before you eyes. A little history to get you ready for your thrilling ride through Port Charles:
General Hospital Our Way:
As we all know, general hospital is going through well some rough times. We want to change that and show you how it should have been done.
-Brenda Barrett did not die in a car crash, although everyone believes she did. She was found by a good looking man from Spain. She has no real memories of her previous life.
- Caroline Tea Benson was given up for adoption by Barbara Jean Spencer 23 years ago. Her birth mother recently died and she was told of her adoption, She set off to Port Charles to find her birth mother. She has never set foot on New York until now.
-Jason Quartermaine Morgan was involved in a car crash with some of his buddies several years ago. He did regain his memory though and has a close relationship with his parents, grandparents and sister Emily. He goes by the name Morgan to protect his family. He decided that being a doctor wasn't for him. He became local mob boss Sonny Corinthos's right hand man and partner in the coffee business.
- Michael "Sonny" Corinthos is the local mob boss and coffee importer or so he says. He married Lily Rivera a year after he and Brenda Barrett broke up over the wire incident, they were never engaged. He and lily are now separated and still remain the best of friends. To him Brenda is still the love of his life. He is best friends with Jason Morgan.
-Bobbies Spencer married Jerry Jacks and they had a son Lucas.
-Helena and Luke are still at war. Things are really heating up.
-Lucky was kidnapped but not brain washed.
-Luke and Laura are still happily married.
-Ned and Lois never divorced and they had Brooklynn.
-Alexis and Jax are now together.
- Anything else is up to fate.

Ch. 1
Port Charles, NY
Carly has been walking through Port Charles for a few hours now. She’s been soaking in the location. To her it seems like the perfect small town. As the wind picks up she walks by a small diner. She decides to go inside and get warmed up before her walk back to the hotel. She goes in and sits down at one of the tables.
She takes off her gloves and puts them on the table. she slips off her coat and lays it over a chair. She looks up as a sweet looking old lady approaches her.
R- Hi honey, what can I get you?
C- Just a hot chocolate would be great. Thanks
Ruby gets her the hot chocolate and brings it back over to her. She hands it to Carly and then sits down across from her.
R- The names Ruby, (reaches out her hand), I haven’t seen you around her before, you new in town?
C- Nice to meet you. I’m Caroline Benson, but you can call me Carly. Actually, I just got into town this morning. I’ve spent the afternoon looking around and I think I’m really going to like it here.
R- Can I ask you why you picked a small town like Port Charles to move to?
C- Sure, it’s quite simple actually. I’m from Florida and my mother just passed away. Before she died she told me that I was adopted and that my biological mother lived here in Port Charles. I had nothing keeping me in Florida so I figured, why not come here?
Just as Ruby was about to say something, Bobbie walked in the door

Sonny was sitting is his dark penthouse finishing up one of the many drinks he has had that night. He just wasn’t having a good day. He was worried about Jason and now he comes home to this. A note. Lily was gone and she only left him a note saying that she accepted a teaching job in Manhattan and she took it because she needed and change and always knew that Sonny would never love her the way he loved (loves) Brenda. He had to admit that she was right.

He needed to get out of the penthouse so he walked to the only place that gave him any type of peace, Brenda’s grave. Once he got there he knelt down and places flowers in-front of it.
S- Hey baby. Sorry I haven’t been here in a while, but I really wish you were here with me today. I miss you so much. (tears come to his eyes)

Sonny sits down on a nearby bench.
S- Lily left me today. She knew I could never love her like I should. She was right. You’ll always carry my heart, sweetheart. It looks like I’m all alone again. It’s times like this I ache to feel your arms wrapped around me. (sighs) I know your safe now, and happy, that’s all I wanted for you.

Sonny runs his hands over the top of the headstone. He kneels down one last time to say a short prayer. He wipes the tears from his eyes and heads for the docks.
Madrid, Spain
Jason knocks on the door of Antonio Cortez. The butler soon answers the door.
Bu- How may I help you sir?
J- I’m Mr. Morgan and I have an appointment with Mr. Cortez.
Bu- Ah yes. Mr. Cortez has been expecting you. Please follow me.
Jason follows the butler through the huge mansion. They stop in front of a large door at the end of a long hall.
Bu- (knocks and opens the door) Mr. Morgan is here for you sir.
AC- Fine, show him in.
Jason walks in the room.
AC- Please have a seat.
Bu- Will you be needing anything else sir?
AC- No, we’re fine for now.
The butler leaves and closes the door behind him.
AC- Let’s get down to business, shall we? I’ve gone over the proposal that you and Mr. Corinthos have sent me and I must say that it was made for my liking.
J- Thank you.
AC- There’s really only one thing I’m having a problem with.
J- What is that?
AC- Well, what’s to insure that my products reach me safely?
J- Well, you’ll have to take Mr. Corinthos at his word on that.
AC- I know Mr. Corinthos as a man of his word but I’d like a little more than that. This is precious cargo we’re talking about.
J- Well, Mr. Corinthos has assured you that everything that doesn’t live up to your standards will be replaced although we’re sure that you shouldn’t have a problem with it. There’s really nothing else you could ask for.
AC- Okay, then I accept the deal. How long before things go through on your end?
J- A few days at the max.
AC- Great. Is there anything else that I can do for you while you’re in town?
J- Yeah actually there is. The airport lost my luggage and I could use the name a good clothing store.
AC- Ah, well, today’s your lucky day. It just so happens that a very good friend of mine has a clothing store downtown and I’m sure she could give you a good deal. Infact, I can take you there myself.
J- That’s great. Thank you.
Cortez drives downtown to the clothing store. Once they are inside, Cortez goes in the back and comes out with a young lady. Jason can’t believe his eyes as he looks at her.
J- Brenda?

Ch. 2
Port Charles, NY
Bobbie walks in to Kelly’s needing to talk with her Aunt Ruby.
Bo- Ruby, Can I talk to you for a minute?
R- Sure Bobbie. (to Carly) Excuse me, honey I’ll be right back.
Bobbie follows Ruby to the kitchen. Luke, Laura and Lulu come in and sit at a nearby table.
La- It was a great idea of Ruby to have family night here this time. She said she had something special for you Lulu.
Lk- Did I see Barbara Jean come in here before us?
In the kitchen Ruby and Bobbie are talking.
Bo- Did the new cash register come in yet?
R- Yes, it came this morning. Lucky offered to set it up for us after dinner. Will you be joining us?
Bo- I’d really love to Ruby, but I can’t. Not tonight.
R- Well, before you leave I would really like you to meet this young lady....
Ruby looks and sees the Carly was gone.
Lucky comes walking in to Kelly’s.
Ly- Hey, looks like there’s a new chic in town.
R- Where did she go? What did she say?
Ly- Hey Aunt Ruby, nice to see you too. (he smiles) My guess is she was going home. It is getting late and she seemed to be in a hurry. And she was saying something about not wanting to interrupt a family gathering.
Madrid, Spain
YL- Excuse me?
J- (shocked) You’re alive?!
AC- Mr. Morgan, why don’t you and I sit down over here for a minute?
They walk out front and sit at one of the cafe tables outside of the shop. The young lady follows them and listens at the door while they are talking.
AC- Now, what was that all about?
J- Do you know who she is? That is Brenda Barrett. She was supposed to have died three years ago. She was a partner in L&B Records and the major model for Deception Cosmetics.
YL- Oh, My G*D!
They turn around and see her standing at the door, instantly knowing she has heard everything they’ve said.
She falls to her knees and puts her hands on her head. Her eyes close and she puts her head between her knees. Jason and Cortez rush over to her.
J- Are you alright?
YL- I remember my name. (points to Jason) He’s right I am Brenda. I seen these faces of people. I feel like I should know them, but I can’t... I can’t remember who they are.
AC- It’s okay. It’ll all come to you in time.
B- (looks at Jason) You know.. (points at him) You know who I am. You have to help me remember.
J- Well, then you’ll have to come home with me.
B- When do we leave? And where is home?
J- (smiles) Home is Port Charles, New York. I can change my plans so that we can leave tonight.
B- Great. Antonio can you help me pack?
AC- Sure.
Antonio Cortez and Brenda go up to her apartment. Jason pulls out his cell phone and dials.
Port Charles, NY
Sonny is standing at the docks, looking out into the water. His mind wanders back to the past times he has spent on these docks. He smiles as he remembers this is the place where he met the only person who will ever hold his heart. He’s brought out of the past by his ringing cell phone. He pulls it out and answers it.
S- Corinthos.
J- Morgan.
S- Jason, how did everything go with Cortez?
J- Everything worked out good. He had some ideas about insurance but I reminded him that you are a man of your word and he accepted our proposal.
S- Great.
While they are talking Carly comes running down the stairs of the docks. She’s wiping the tears from her eyes and not watching where she’s going. She bumps right into the back of Sonny. Sonny turns around quickly, he sees that she’s been crying and feels the need to help her.
S- Jase, I gotta go. Yeah, okay. See you tomorrow.
Sonny walks over to her.
S- What’s wrong?
Before Carly can say anything someone starts shooting at them. Sonny shoves her out of the way and Johnny and Francis come over to help him.
After a few minutes the shooting stops. Sonny goes over to Carly to ask her if she’s alright. When she doesn’t get up he goes over to her and shakes her. She still doesn’t respond and Sonny looks down and all he can see is so much blood.
Ch. 3
Port Charles, NY
Sonny looks and his hands are covered in blood. He looks at himself and realizes that he’s not hurt. He turns Carly around and he sees that it’s all her blood.
S- Johnny, pull the car around and be quick about it.
Jo- Yes sir.
S- Francis, call the doctor and tell him to meet us at the Safehouse.

Once they arrive in Port Charles Jason brings Brenda back to his penthouse. They put all their things down when there’s a knock at the door. Jason goes to answer it and sees Dave standing there. Jason walks out into the hall and shuts the door behind him.
J- Dave, what’s going on?
D- Mr. Corinthos told me to wait here until you arrived and then to tell you that he needs to see you at the Safehouse right away.
J- Why is he at the Safehouse?
D- There were some complications earlier while he was at the docks.
J- Ok, thanks. I want you to stay right at the door and do not let the woman in there out for any reason. Do you understand me?
D- Yes, sir.
Jason goes back inside and Brenda is sitting on the couch.
J- Brenda, you can put your things in the guest bedroom. You’re more than welcome to help yourself to anything. The fridge is full of food too.
B- Okay, thanks Jason.
J- Sure. Now something has come up that needs my attention so I have to leave for awhile. Dave will be right outside this door so if for any reason you need to contact me, he’ll get me for you.
B- Okay, I think I’m gonna lay down for a little bit until I get used to the time difference.
J- Okay, I’ll be back soon.
Safehouse
Jason walks in and immediately sees Sonny pacing back and forth in the living room infront of the bedroom door.
J- Sonny (Sonny looks up) What’s going on?
S- We were shot at.
J- Who’s we?
S- Me and this girl. She bumping into me on the docks while I was talking with you. She seemed to have been crying and before I could ask her what was wrong we were getting shot at. I shoved her out of the way but she still got shot. It doesn’t look too good.
Before Jason could say anything the doctor comes out with a grim expression on his face.
S- How is she doc?
Doc- The bullet just missed her heart. If it was any lower she’d be dead. The next twenty-four hours are going to be critical.
S- Well what can we do?
Doc- All you can do is wait. If she wakes up give her the antibiotics that I left in there. If she gets a fever or starts bleeding again call me right away.
S- Okay, doc. I will. Thanks again.
Sonny and Jason go into the bedroom. They sit there for a while discussing business trying to figure out who was stupid enough to go after Sonny in broad daylight. The discussion turns to Jason’s meeting with Cortez and Jason decides that he should tell Sonny about Brenda before he finds out accidentally.
J- Sonny, there is something that I need to tell you. (Seriously) Brace yourself because this is going to be hard for you to believe. Hell it was even hard for me to believe. When I was in Madrid I bumped into a friend of yours and I brought them back to PC with me.
Just as Sonny was about to as Jason who he was talking about they both heard a long moaning sound. They turn to look and notice that Carly is waking up.
Carly was up and starts to panic and becomes very upset. She doesn’t know what happened to her or where she is. But then she sees these two men sitting there staring at her. She tries to get up but she quickly becomes overwhelmed with pain.
Sonny tries to calm her down but it seems like he’s just making Carly even more upset.
S- Jason, can you try to get her to relax?
J- I can try.
Jason walks over to Carly and is immediately enthralled by her beauty. Carly looks deeply into his blue eyes and is instantly drawn to him.
J- I know you are upset and probably really confused right now. You are going to be okay. We are going to stay here and watch over you. So don’t worry and atleast try to relax and maybe sleep. You really need your rest.
Sonny notices Carly’s positive reaction from Jason but he also notices Jason reaction to Carly. He figures that this would be a good time for him to get out of the bloody clothes that he was still wearing.
S- Jason, do you mind staying and watching her while I go home and get changed?
J- Sure Sonny no problem.
S- Great, I’ll be back soon.
J- Listen take your time. Get something to eat and maybe some sleep. She’s going to sleep and I’ll be here incase something were to happen.
S- Thanks man, I appreciate it.
PH4
Sonny gets changed and decides against the sleep. It was no use for him to sleep. He can’t remember the last time he’s had a peaceful nights sleep. Nowadays every time he would actually fall asleep he would wake up in a cold sweat from the reoccurring nightmares that plagued him. He makes himself something light to eat and decides that he’s going to go over the Cortez proposal. He realizes that Jason has the copy so he leaves his penthouse and goes across the hall. He sees Dave on guard infront of Jason’s door.
S- Dave, why are you standing out here?
D- Mr. Corinthos, Mr. Morgan told me to stand watch until he gets back. He told me not to let the woman inside out for any reason.
S- Why does he have a woman locked away in there? Oh well, never mind, I just have to go in and get some paperwork.
D- Sure Mr. Corinthos. (Dave opens the door for him and shuts it again after Sonny goes in.)
Sonny walks in and goes over to Jason’s desk. He starts going through it looking for the papers.
Meanwhile upstairs Brenda has just come out of the shower when she hears the door open and shut. She starts coming down the stairs.
B- Jason, Is that you? (towel drying her hair) I hope you don’t mind but I decided to....
She sees Sonny standing there and freezes half-way down the steps.
Sonny turns around and is shocked to see Brenda coming down Jason’s stairs. At first he thinks he’s seeing a ghost but she’s talking. He feels his breath get caught in his chest and suddenly everything fades to black.

Ch. 4
Safehouse
It’s now a few hours later and Carly is just waking up. She looks over and sees the man with the blue eyes it still there. Jason sees the woman looking at him and he walks over to her.
J- Hey, don’t be afraid. Would you like something to drink, I know you must be thirsty? How about some water?
C- Okay, thanks.
Jason pours her some water and then helps her to drink it.
J- My name is Jason.
C- Oh, I’m Carly. Can you tell me where I am and what am I doing here?
J- Well it seems that you ran into my friend Sonny on the docks and then someone started shooting at you. You were shot and he brought you here and our doctor had a look at you and removed the bullet.
C- Oh My G*d. Am I going to be okay?
J- Yes, the doctor said you are going to be fine. You’re new in Port Charles right?
C- Yeah. I’m here looking for my birth mother. She put me up for adoption right after I was born. For 23 years I never knew I was adopted, but my mom died last month and before she died she told me I was adopted and that my birth mother lived her in Port Charles.
J- Well, you’ll have to wait a little while for that search until you’re all healed up. I’m going to leave one of my guards, Francis, here incase you need anything and I’m going to get you some new clothes to wear. You won’t need to be staying here very long and you’ll need fresh clothes to change into.
C- Thanks you Jason.
J- No problem really. If you need anything just call Francis.
C- Okay.
Q Mansion
Bobbie and Monica were having lunch together and were finishing up when Jason walks in.
J- Mom, can I talk to you for a minute?
Bo- I was just leaving. Monica, I’ll talk to you later.
Bobbie leaves and Monica and Jason sit down.
M- What’s the matter Jason?
J- Well, I was wondering if Emily had any spare clothes that I could have for a friend?
M- (becoming very interested) Who’s this “friend”?
J- She’s new in town. She’s searching for her birth mother who lives here in Port Charles. After 23 years she just found out that she was adopted before her adopted mother passed away.
M- Well, what is this girls name?
J- Here name is Carly. Why?
M- No reason, I was just wondering.
Meanwhile Bobbie had gotten to her car when she realized that she had forgotten her purse. She goes back inside just in time to hear everything that Jason has said to Monica.
Bobbie puts her hand over her mouth and stands there paralyzed as the memories come rushing back to her.

A little while later, Bobbie is holding her precious little girl. The baby is asleep while Bobbie is sing soft lullabies.

Bobbie looks down at her small baby girl. The baby opens her small eyes and looks up at her.
Bo- I’m going to call you Caroline. Yeah, Caroline, that’s who you’ll be. You’ll be the smartest, prettiest girl ever.

Ruby comes back into the room and sees Bobbie holding her daughter. Ruby’s heart breaks as she knows what’s going to happen next.
R- Bobbie, you have to let her go now. We discussed this and you know that this is for the best, especially for her.
Bobbie sadly looks over at her aunt.

The doctors come in and take the baby from Bobbie. The baby begins to cry loudly as soon as she is taken. Bobbie watches as her little girl disappears and tears flow from her eyes.

Monica and Jason turn around and see Bobbie standing there crying.
M- Bobbie, are you alright?
Bo- No, I’m not.

Sonny starts to wake up and he sees Brenda looking worried standing over him. He realizes that she’s really there with him. He gets up off the floor and goes to sit on the couch. Brenda hands him a glass of water and their fingers touch sending that familiar flow of electricity between them.
Brenda puts her hands on her head and quickly sits on the couch next to Sonny.
S- Hey what’s wrong?
B- I just remembered another one of my lost memories. It was really intense.
S- Well, I’d be willing to listen.
B- Yeah, but you won’t understand it, heck I don’t even understand it.
S- Well try me.
B- Okay, it was so real. It was like I was standing there watching myself. I open the door to a church. I walk in and stand way in the back, as not to be seen. I look forward and I see a man and a woman getting married. I know that I really love this man, like the love of your life type of thing, but I can’t make out his face. It’s all fuzzy. (Tears start to fall from her eyes) Then I run out of the church crying and I jump in my car and start driving faster and faster. The car keeps swerving because I’m crying so hard that I can’t see. Then the car swerves off to the right and it starts to go over a cliff. I can feel myself falling and I think of that man and then the memory just stops. I don’t even know who this guy is. There is someone out there who is the right one for me and I have no idea who he is.
Brenda wipes the tears from her eyes and turns to look at Sonny, who looks unnerved.
B- See I told you, you wouldn’t understand.
S- (lowly) Yeah. We’ll I gotta go.
Sonny gets up and quickly rushes out the door. Brenda watches him go and then closes her eyes.
B- (whispers) I still love you.
Sonny shuts the door behind him and leans up against it. Tears well up in his eyes as he realizes that Brenda is in the next room and has no idea who he is and the worst part of all is it’s all his fault. He walks back to his penthouse not even noticing that Dave is no longer guarding the door.
