Brenda Barrett, 20, gets off the bus and walks around this town called Port Charles. She’s here to surprise her friend and to make a new life for herself. As she walks around she sees so many interesting people, but ‘when weren’t there interesting people in New York, right?’ The first place she arrives is Kelly’s diner. Brenda walks up to the counter and is met by a nice older woman.

R- “Hi dear, what can I get for you?”

B- “I’m actually looking for a place to stay. You wouldn’t by chance know the name of a good, non-expensive place, would you?”

R- “Actually I have an apartment for rent upstairs if you’re interested.”

B- “Really? Great. When can I see it?”

R- (smiles) “I’ll take you up right now.”

B- (reaches out her hand) “Thanks. I’m Brenda, Brenda Barrett.”

R- (takes her hand in her own) “I’m Ruby. I own this diner. Nice to meet you Brenda.”

B- “Nice to meet you too.”

A few minutes later Brenda and Ruby walk down the stairs together.

B- “Ruby, that’s a really great apartment. Thanks for letting me move in so quickly.”

R- “Oh it’s my pleasure dear. Do you need a hand bringing the rest of your things in I’m sure Stone or Jagger wouldn’t mind.”

B- “Oh no. I don’t have any more things. Just this bag.” (she holds up her backpack, that holds all her most precious valuables she could carry)

R- “Okay.”

B- “I’m off to find me a job now. Talk to you later Ruby.”

R- “Bye dear.”

Brenda changes into cut-off jean shorts and a tank top, because after all it is summer and it’s extremely hot outside, even for New York. The forecasters are calling it the heat wave of the century. She then leaves Kelly’s. Brenda takes in the scenery as she travels throughout the town. She makes her way to the docks and stands at the edge just staring into the water. She loves the way the sun sparkles on the water. It’s calming to her. She sits down and dangles her feet over the edge.

She’s so at peace she doesn’t even notice when someone comes and sits down next to her. He looks over at her and she jumps and screams.

B- “Shit! You scared me!”

St- “Sorry ‘bout that. I didn’t mean to.” (He squints to get a better look at her) “You new in town?”

B- “Yeah, just got in today.”

St- “Well it’s nice to meet you. I’m Stone Cates.”

B- “Hey, Brenda Barrett. You work at Ruby’s?”

St- “I do odds and ends there, why?”

B- “Oh well I heard Ruby mention you, well she mentioned Stone and you said your name is Stone and I.. Nevermind, you know what I mean.”

St- (laughs) “Yeah. I getcha.”

B- “So is that your real name or do you just call yourself that?”

St- “No, my real name is Michael, but nobody here calls me that. My friend gave me the name Stone and it just sorta stuck with everyone.”

B- “Well I like your name. Your friend has good taste.” (stands up) “We’ll I’d love to stay and chat more with you, but I need to find myself a job.”

St- “Well today’s your lucky day.”

B- “How so?”

St- “I just happen to know a place who’s looking for a waitress? You up for that?”

B- “I’m up for anything that can give me money to keep my place to stay.”

St- “Great. I’ll take you to it. Just so happens I was on my way there now.”

B- “Thanks Stone.”

St- “No problem Brenda.”

Stone leads Brenda to Luke’s. The outside lights are low and the place is quite empty.

B- (looks to Stone) “You sure this place is looking for a waitress? It doesn’t seem that busy to me.”

St- “Just you wait until tonight, you’ll be surprised.”

B- (She looks at him questionably) “Okay. So where’s the guy I have to see about the job.”

St- “I’ll get them. You have a seat here.” (Looks at Claude) “Claude, get my friend a soda, it’s boiling out there.”

Claude hands Brenda a coke while Stone goes into the offices in the back. He sees Sonny Corinthos, 25, sitting in a chair while Luke Spencer was sitting behind his desk smoking a cigar. Sonny looks at Stone and smiles.

S- “Sup man?”

St- “Prepare to get down on your knees and thank me.”

S- “What the hell are you talking about?”

St- “I found you a perfect waitress.”

S- “Oh I don’t feel like talking to another girl, who doesn’t know her address or can’t spell her last name, today. Send her away. Tell her you made a mistake. Send her away.”

St- “Sonny, I....”

S- “I said send her away.”

St- “But man...”

S- “Hell! I’ll do it myself.”

Stone shakes his head and laughs as Sonny goes out into the club. Sonny looks over to the bar and his eyes catch sight of Brenda. He stops cold in his tracks. Stone walks up behind him and puts a hand on his shoulder.

St- “What were you saying?”

S- “I’m thinking we have ourselves a new waitress. Where did you come across this one. I haven’t seen her before.”

St- “New in town. Today actually. I ran into her on the docks. She’s a cute one if you ask me.”

Sonny looks back at Stone and gives him a look like ‘Stay Away’.

St- (laughs) “Relax man. I’m taken remember. Now go talk to her you fool.”

Sonny walks over to Brenda and smiles his best dimpled smile. He’d win her over with his charm and she’d be in his bed before nightfall. He sits down next to her and leans on the bar.

S- “So I hear you’re interested in the waitressing job we have available.”

Brenda had been watching him stare at her and she could almost read his mind. Normally she wouldn’t surround herself with people who only looked at her as a good lay, but she needed a job.

B- (She smiled at him) “Yes. I ran into Stone.” (She waves to Stone) “I was telling him that I needed a job and recommended this place to me although it doesn’t seem to busy to me.”

S- “Oh just you wait baby. This place’ll be rockin’ tonight. Tell me, do you have a place to stay?”

B- “Yeah, I’m staying at an apartment above Kelly’s.”

S- “Okay, now do you know how to spell your name?”

B- (Brenda looks at him confused) “Yes, of course I do.”

S- “Perfect. I’m Sonny, Sonny Corinthos. You’ll start tonight at 8.”

B- “Brenda Barrett. Great thanks. Do I need a uniform or anything?”

S- “Nah, just get yourself here and I’ll have a Luke’s shirt waiting for you. You’ll be on a trial. If everything works out well you’re hired.”

B- “Thanks.” (She turned her attention to Stone) “See ya ‘round Stone.”

Before Stone had a chance to answer a familiar Brooklyn accent could be heard from throughout the club. Lois Cerullo walks in and screams when she sees Brenda there and runs into her arms.

L- “What in the heck are you doin’ here Bren??”

B- “Well Harlan was pissin’ me off again so I split. I don’t need his shit anymore.”

L- “Well when were ya gonna come and see me?”

B- “Well I had to get a place to stay, then I bumped inta Stone and he took me here to get a job and now I was on my way to see you and Ned.”

L- “Well good cause I missed ya girl.”

B- “You betta had.”

Sonny looks at them strangely at them. He raises his eyebrows and walks over to them.

S- (clears his throat) “Excuse me chicas.”

L- “Oh hey Sonny. Came to invite you and Stone to a party Saturday night. Bren, you’re invited of course.”

B- “Well we all know your parties wouldn’t be a party without me now right?”

L- “Right. So Corinthos you hired Bren? Good choice.”

S- “Okay either of you wanna tell me how you know each other?”

B- “Lo and I met in school. Lo attended the same boarding school as I did for about a year and a half, right Lo?”

L- “Yeah, that’s right. So Corinthos are you coming to my party or am I gonna hafta pull you there by ya ear?”

S- (dimples) “I’ll be at your party Lois.”

L- “Good, c’mon Bren.”

Lois held out her arm and Brenda wrapped her arm in Lois’. They laughed as they walked out arm and arm.

S- “Don’t forget 8!!” (He ran his hands in his hair and walked back to the back not missing the laughs coming from Stone.)

It was 7:45pm that night and Brenda walked into the club and her eye’s widened. She couldn’t believe the difference in the atmosphere from earlier that morning. She saw Stone first and he waved her over to him.

St- “Hey girl. You’re early. Trying to impress the boss?”

B- “No, not even close. I just wanted to get feel for the place not a feel from him.”

St- (Nearly spits his drink out laughing) “Yeah he does like ya.”

B- “Yeah I caught that. You know where I can get my shirt?”

St- “Yeah c’mon.”

Stone takes her into Sonny’s empty office grabs a Luke’s shirt out of a drawer and hands it to her. He steps out of the room so she can change. She lifts her shirt over her head revealing a small blue bra. Sonny comes walking into his office and catches sight of Brenda changing. Her back is to him so she doesn’t know that he’s there. He watches her put her Luke’s shirt on and just as she’s about to turn around he walks out the door and again and knocks.

B- “Coming.” (She finishes tucking her shirt in as she walks out. She looks up and sees Sonny standing there.) “Sonny.”

S- “I’m glad to see you made it on time.”

B- “Of course. You did say 8 right. I’m not one to be late for a job.”

S- (dimples) “I like that. If anybody gives you a hard time, you come right to me and I’ll take care of ‘em.”

B- “Yeah thanks. I doubt there’ll be a problem that I couldn’t handle.”

Sonny shrugs and Brenda leaves his office to start serving customers.

It’s a little after one and things at the club have finally died down. Brenda’s wiping off the tables when Stone walks over to her.

St- “Hey girl. You did good.”

B- “Thanks Stone.”

St- “Sonny wants to see you in his office.”

B- “Okay.” (She puts down the rag and heads to the back. Sonny’s going through a stack of papers when Brenda enters.) “Sonny, Stone said you wanted to see me?”

S- “Yeah I did.” (He stands up from his desk and reaches out his hand to her, not missing the electricity that’s apparent between them.) “Congratulations Brenda. You did a fantastic job tonight, so I’m happy to tell you the job is yours.”

B- “Wow. Thanks Sonny. You won’t regret this.” (She looks into his eyes and starts to feel a little uncomfortable.) “Well my shift is done. When do you want me in again?”

S- (smiles) “Yeah, you can come in at five tomorrow. Before you leave tomorrow there should be a schedule posted up back here.”

B- “Great. Thanks.” (She goes over and grabs her other shirt.) “I’ll see you tomorrow.” (She starts to leave his office when he stops her)

S- “Hey, it’s late. You need a ride?”

B- “No, I’ll be fine.”

S- “Please? I’d feel better knowing you got home safely.”

B- (She’s genuinely surprised at his kindness) “That’s sweet of you thanks.”

S- “Well I couldn’t have anything happen to my new waitress, now could I?” (He chuckles)

B- (Face falls) “Yeah. Right.”

Sonny grabs his suit jacket, puts his hand on her back and leads her out of the club and to his car. Brenda’s eyes widen when she sees his car.

B- “Wow. This is your car?”

S- “Yup.” (He holds the door open for her as she gets in, then he shuts it and makes his way around to the drivers side.)

B- “Wow, I’ve always wanted a Jaguar and the color. British racing green is perfect.”

S- “Yeah it’s a classic.”

B- “Nothing but the best for you huh?”

S- “Never. Why settle for less when you can have the best right?”

B- “Yeah I guess.”

They drive to Kelly’s in silence. As he drives, Sonny can’t help but keep taking glances at Brenda. ‘God she looks so good in her jeans and t-shirt.’ ‘What I wouldn’t do to get with her.’ In less than ten minutes they arrive at Kelly’s and Sonny comes around to open the door for Brenda. He smiles and reaches for her hand. She gives him her hand and he helps her out of his car. Brenda takes out her key and unlocks Kelly’s. Sonny walks her to the stairs.

Sonny goes to kiss her but she turns her cheek.

B- “G’night Sonny. I’ll see you tomorrow.”

She walks up the stairs to her room while Sonny stands there look up at her. He shakes his head. ‘It’s gonna be harder to get her than I thought.’ He shrugs and leaves Kelly’s locking the door on his way out. He heads back to his Penthouse.

Three days pass and it’s now Saturday the day of Lois’ party. Brenda had been working every night and needed a day to relax and have fun so the party was coming just in the nick of time. She arrives at the Gatehouse dressed in short black shorts and a spaghetti strapped top. She had her hair pulled back and sandals on her feet. She opens the gate and steps in the backyard. The party was just getting started and the place looked great.

Lois turns around and spots Brenda and runs over to her.

L- (She pulls Brenda by her hand) “C’mon girl. I wanna introduce you to some people.”

They walk together over to two reasonably attractive guys. One with light brown hair and blue eyes and the other with darker brown hair and brown eyes. The blue eyed one had blonde hanging all over her. Brenda could tell just by looking at her that she was trouble.

L- “Bren, this is Jason Morgan, Carly Roberts and AJ Quartermaine. The guys are brothers. Guys this is my girl Brenda Barrett.”

Brenda smiles at them and they exchange greetings. She catches the looks that AJ was giving her and smiles slightly to herself. Lois walks over to the radio and turns it up higher.

L- “Okay peoples lets get this party started!”

Brenda laughed, she loved how Lois could turn the most boring of places into a party. She looked around and people were dancing, swimming and just chillin’. She walked over to the cooler and grabbed a wine cooler, in her opinion they tasted much better than beer. Then she walked back over to a lounge chair and slipped off her shirt and shorts only to be left in a revealing red bikini.

She closes her eyes as the sun shines down on her. A while later she opens her eyes when she feels somebody blocking her sun. She comes face to face with Sonny.

He’s dressed casually in jeans a t-shirt. This is the first time Brenda has seen him in anything other than the suits he wears. She had to admit that he looked damned sexy (for a player).

Sonny takes off his shades and dimples at her.

S- “Hey Brenda.” (His eyes roam her body, taking in all of her beauty. Then he sits down on a lounge chair next to her.)

B- “Sonny. Great party huh?”

S- (He never takes his eyes off of her.) “Yeah, wonderful.”

B- “Yeah.”

AJ spots Sonny trying to put the moves on Brenda. Sonny was the last person he thought Brenda should be around. True, he didn’t know everything about her yet but he wanted that to change and quickly.

AJ- (Calls out to her from in the pool.) “Hey Bren, you wanna come in and catch a game?”

B- (She looked down where a water volleyball game was about to start) “Sure, why not.” (She stands up and looks down at Sonny.) “Excuse me Sonny.”

Sonny sits there watching Brenda and Ned, Jason, Carly, Robin and Stone play. Every time AJ has his hands on Brenda it sent waves of jealousy through his body. ‘Why the hell do I care if he’s touching her? It’s not like she’s my girl. Yeah, but I wouldn’t mind having her for my girl. She’s smart, sexy, funny, sexy, did he mention sexy.’ He was brought out of his daydream by Lois who sat down next to him.

L- “Glad you could make it Corinthos.”

S- (Still watching Brenda) “Yeah, I wouldn’t have missed it.”

Lois watches Sonny watching Brenda. She can tell he’s interested, but then again who wouldn’t be interested in Bren.

L- “So you like her huh?”

S- (He looks from Brenda to Lois) “What?”

L- (laughs) “Brenda. You like her.”

S- “What gave you that idea?” (He turns his attention back to Brenda)

L- “Look at you staring at her.” (Lois shakes her head) “You act like if you don’t keep looking at her she’s gonna disappear.”

S- “My feeling or non-feelings for Brenda are none of your business Lois Marie.”

L- “Listen Sonny. Brenda is my best girlfriend. You hurt her you’re gonna hafta hear it from me.”

S- “I know Lo, I know. I don’t plan on hurting her.”

L- “Well what are you planning to do to her?”

S- (He stands up.) “I don’t know Lo.” (He puts his sunglasses back on and throws his hands up in the air.) “I just don’t know.”

Sonny walks away from Lois and walks out of the backyard. He sits on the front porch and pulls out his cigarettes. He lights one up and takes a long puff. He runs hands over his face and looks up to the sky. ‘Why am I letting her get to me?’ ‘I’m love ‘em and leave ‘em Corinthos.’ ‘Why does this time feel different?’

Stone comes over and sits down next to Sonny.

St- “Sup man?” (He picks up the pack of cigarettes and takes one out for himself.)

S- (laughs) “I just don’t know man, I just don’t know anything anymore.”

St- “It’s Bren, isn’t it?” (laughs) “I can’t believe you’re lettin’ this girl you haven’t even slept with yet, get to you. Or did you bang her already?”

S- “No, I didn’t bang her.” (He stands up and stomps his cigarette out.) “There’s just something different about her. I just don’t want her to be a one night stand thing.”

St- “Whoa. Get me a pen I gotta right this down. Today is a day for the record books. Sonny Corinthos is dissin’ a one nighter.”

S- “Shut the fuck up!” “Who the hell are you to talk. You’re only with Robin right? Do I bug on you? No. Now I don’t feel like havin’ to hear your shit, k?”

St- “Yeah Sonny fine man. Take a chill pill.”

Everyone gets out of the pool cause it’s time to eat. Lois walks over to Brenda.

L- “Hey Bren.. Do me a favor, Sonny and Stone are out front. Can you tell them that the foods ready.”

B- (Grabs her towel) “Yeah sure.”

Brenda wraps the towel around her waist and heads out front. Sonny and Stone look over when they hear someone coming. Stone smiles when he sees Brenda and Sonny just stands there looking at her.

B- “Hey guys. Lo says come and somethin’ to eat before its all gone. Oh and Stone, Robbie’s looking for you.”

St- “K, thanks B.” (Stone pats Sonny on the arms and he goes back into the yard.)

B- “Sonny, you coming?”

S- “Nah.” (He shakes his head and sits back down.) “I think I’m just gonna sit here for a while.”

Brenda leaves and comes back a minute later without her towel but wearing her shorts instead. She’s carrying a beer in each hand. She walks over and sits down next to Sonny.

B- (Hands him the beer) “Here, I thought you might like one.”

S- (Takes the beer and slightly smiles) “Thanks.”

B- (She looks over at him.) “Sonny, you have something on your mind you wanna talk to me about?”

S- (He looks up at her) “No, why you ask that?”

B- “I don’t know, I can just tell you’re thinking about something that has to do with me. Just tell me, I’ll listen.”

S- “It’s just...”

He looks into her eyes moves his mouth closer to hers. Suddenly his lips are met with hers. He begins sucking on them ever so gently. Feeling the heat between them he licks her lower lip with his tongue. She opens her mouth under his gentle probing and his tongue caresses her mouth searching out ever crevice. The intensity is building when he quickly pulls back.

Brenda looked at Sonny, her eyes, searching his face. He just looked back at her shocked at himself.

S- “Umm... I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to...”

B- (She picks up her beer) “I’m gonna go chill with the others I’ll see ya when you get back there.”

S- (He watches her go knowing that he totally screwed that up.) “Shit! Why in the hell did I go and do that for?”

He shakes his head and gets up and starts walking to his car. ‘I just can’t seem to help myself. I need to figure out what I’m gonna do.’ He takes the last sip of his beer and pulls away. Brenda stood at the fence watching as his car pulled away. ‘Why was he going after me? I don’t need a man like that.’

She walks further in the backyard when AJ sees her and calls out.

AJ- “Bren, you wanna another beer?” (He lifts one up out of the cooler.)

B- (shakes her head) “Nah, grab me a soda. I have to work tonight and I don’t need a hangover.”

Brenda walks over and grabs the soda from him then Lois pulls her out of earshot range. Brenda opens her soda and looks up at Lois with confused look on her face.

B- (takes a drink) “What’s up Lo?”

L- “You tell me.”

B- (laughs) “What are you talking about?”

L- “Sonny.” (Brenda looks down at her soda.) “Something happened, where did he go?”

B- (looks up) “How the hell do I know where he went.”

L- “Why so harsh Bren?”

B- “I just don’t know what the big deal is with him.”

L- “Well he does seem to like you.”

B- “Yeah, I know. That’s the problem.”

L- “What’s wrong with that?”

B- “Lo, you told me you’ve know Sonny a long time. Just by looking at him you can tell he’s a player. He’s just in it for the chase, then boom, he gets ya and you never hear from him again. I came her to start fresh and I’m not about to get caught up like that again.”

L- “I understand that Bren. But there’s a lot more to Sonny then people realize. Just keep that in mind will ya?”

B- “I’m not promising anything but I’ll try.”

Brenda arrived at Luke’s later that night. She was on for the late shift. She looked around as she came in. It looked like an easy shift for once. It wasn’t too crowded. There was a couple dancing, some people at table and another couple making out in the corner, but nothing that she couldn’t handle.

B- (She walked over to the back and called out with out going in.) “Luke, I’m starting my shift.”

She didn’t get an answer to she figured he was busy. She grabbed a rag and began wiping down tables. A minute later she heard footsteps behind her. She turned around and saw Sonny walking toward her.

S- “Luke’s not here tonight. He had a family matter.”

B- (growing concerned) “Oh wow, is everything okay?”

S- “Oh yeah, Lucky ran away from home and Luke went out to find him. He called a half-hour ago and everything’s good now.”

B- “Oh, well that’s good.” She walks past him and behind the bar. “So I guess it’s just you and me working tonight.”

S- (He looked into her eyes.) “Yeah, but if that’s a problem for you.. I mean about before...”

B- (smiles) “No big deal. It’s cool. I mean it was just a kiss right? It didn’t mean anything so no harm done. Let’s just forget about it and move on, k?”

S- (He looks down for a minute before returning her gaze.) “Yeah, sure. No big deal. It won’t happen again.”

Brenda sighs loudly to herself as Sonny walks back into his office. ‘Yeah right, sure it was just a kiss. Best kiss you can ever remember, you just go ahead and try to forget about it. Good move girl.’

Sonny gets to his desk and pours himself a scotch. It puzzled him that it would mean nothing to her but everything to him. Usually things worked the other way around. He was used to getting everything he wanted. But the way he wanted Brenda was different. He didn’t know how different yet but he’d soon find out.

Brenda walks into Luke’s and heads straight to the office where she knew Sonny would be. He’s on the phone but looks up when she comes in. He quickly gets rid of the person on the phone and stands up.

S- (dimples) Brenda. How are you tonight?

B- (grins slyly) I’m good, but I could be better.

S- Oh, well I didn’t realize you were scheduled for work tonight.

B- (Her grin gets wider as she approaches him) That’s cause I’m not.

Sonny looks at Brenda feeling even more confused than he was a minute ago. He goes to speak but Brenda shakes her head and puts her finger on his lips.

B- Shhh. (She puts her hands on his shoulders and loses her fingers in the ends of his hair.) Don’t fight me.

Her lips descend upon his as she kisses him hard yet tenderly. She sucks gently on his lower lip as his tongue seeks out her own. Sonny’s hands rest on her waist as he pulls her closer to him. They finally pull apart breathlessly and Brenda rubs her thumb over her swollen lips.

She smiles at him before pulling him closer again. They kiss hungrily again and again. Brenda runs her hands down his chest and pulls the ends of his shirt out from his pants. As she unbuttons it his kisses her neck setting her skin on fire. She moans as his tongue comes out to taste her. It becomes increasingly harder for her to concentrate on getting his shirt off.

B- “Screw it.” (She rips it apart sending buttons flying in ever direction.)

He pulls back and bends his knees a little so he’s looking directly into her eyes. His hands come up to her face.

S- “I wanna hear you say Yes.”

B- “Yeah..”

S- “Yeah..”

B- “Yes.”

He kisses her quickly then looks into her eyes before turning around and pushing everything off his desk. She screams slightly as everything goes flying off. Sonny pulls her into his arms and picks her up and sits her on the edge of the desk. Brenda pushes his shirt off his shoulders and puts his hands on his belt buckle.

Sonny groans as her hands unzip his pants. He pushes her back on the desk and climbs up on top of her.

S- (huskily) “You know this isn’t going to work if you still have all your clothes on.”

B- “Mmm. Then I suggest you do something about that.”

He pushes her shirt up her body and pulls it over her head. He’s surprised to find that she’s not wearing a bra. His mouth goes down on her breast. He nips playfully before sending his tongue out. Brenda moans out in pleasure at the torture he’s inflicting upon her. He moves on to her other breast as her hands come back to their position on his waist. Her hand goes inside his boxer to caress his hardening manhood. Pleasurable sensations flow through him and he works off her skirt. She lifts up to allow him to slide it off along with her thong.

She sighs as her feet push his pants and boxer all at once down his legs. He shakes himself the rest of the way out of them. They both are completely naked now. He looks down at her admiringly and she blushes slightly.

S- (shakes his head) “No. You’re beautiful.”

He leans down to kiss her, as it becomes increasingly more intense he enters her quickly. She moans out loudly and her legs wrap around his waist. Her hands scratch up his back as he begins to thrust faster within her. She cries out his name as he begins suckling her neck, applying just enough suction to leave his mark. He groans as her moans encourage him to move faster and harder within her. Finally they both explode over the edge of ecstasy together.

Brenda sits up quickly and looks around. Her eyes adjust to the lighting in the room. She sighs loudly remembering actually where she was. She was in her room above Kelly’s in her own bed. ‘What I wouldn’t do to actually have been at Luke’s with Sonny is his office. Wait a second what the hell am I thinking. I can’t believe I’m letting him get to me.’ She throws the covers off of her. ‘I need to get out of this bed.’

She walks across the room and sits in her chair. She finds herself staring at the bed and thinking back to the incredibly intense dream she just experienced. She could swear she could feel her lips burning.

Brenda throws on her sweats and grabs her headphones. She runs down the stairs of Kelly’s and to the park. She runs faster and faster trying to get any thought of Sonny out of her head. Finally when she felt like she couldn’t run any longer she found herself reaching the far end of the park. She turned her headphones down slightly and began power walking. As she approached the end she saw him. Sonny was sitting on a bench talking with the guy from Lois’ party, Jason Morgan.

She decided to play it cool and walk right past him pretending not to even notice him there. Just when she was almost past him he stood up and called out to her.

S- “Brenda! Brenda!”

‘Great. Now I have to go over and at least say hi.’ She inwardly groaned to herself. ‘He’s your boss Brenda, just your boss, nothing else, just your boss.’ She walks over to him slowly.

B- “Hey Sonny.”
