Chapter 11
They are all sitting around talking the next time the doorbell rings. Brenda
jumps up knowing who it is. Jason and Robin are there. Brenda quickly opens
the door and hugs Robin tightly.
B- It’s so good to see you little sister.
R- I’m so glad your back. Now where is this little guy I’ve been missing so much.
B- Nate, come say hello to your Aunt Robin.
Nate comes running over from where he is playing. He lifts his arms so that
Brenda will pick him up.
Nate- Hi Aunt Robbie.
Robin- (runs her hand through his dark curls) Hey Nate. How ya doing?
Nate- Gate. See my bed.
Nate pulls down from Brenda and grabs Robin’s hand. They walk over to the
stairs and Robin picks Nate up and they walk up the stairs. Brenda turns
to Jason who was watching the whole scene.
B- She’s going to be a wonderful mother someday.
J- Yeah, she is.
The doorbell rings.
B- Jase could you get that, I’m gonna go upstairs with Robin and Nate. Whoever
it is let them in.
J- Sure (Brenda goes upstairs and Jason walks to the door and opens it) Hey Sonny,
I didn’t know you were coming tonight.
S- Yeah, Brenda asked me this afternoon.
J- Well Come on in.
N- Well, it looks like that’s everyone, how about we eat.
AJ- That depends, did Bren cook? (everyone laughs)
B- (coming down the stairs holding Nate) Hey, I heard that. I’m not that bad
of a cook these days, but it just so happens that, NO, I did not cook.
AJ- Whew, that’s a relief.
B- Oh can it AJ. And there’s one more person we’re waiting on. (the doorbell
rings) That’s him now.
She opens the door and hugs the person. He spins her around and she laughs.
He puts her down and she lets everyone see who it is. It’s Louie Cerullo.

to see her brother there. Sonny is jealous to see Louie with his hands all
over Brenda. Lois hugs her brother.
N- Hey Lou, Now can we eat?
B- Yeah Ned. Come everyone to the kitchen. Grab what ever you want and find a seat.
L- Louie what are you doing here?
Lo- Well Brenda called me and I was telling her that I would be coming into
town and she told me to come to her party. He now that Bren lives here I
hope that room is still available at your house. (he laughs) I’m gonna be
in town for a few weeks.
L- Great. You know you’re always welcome at our house. Now go say hi to
Brooke.
Lois goes into the kitchen and Louie walks over to where Brenda is getting
Nate and Brooke. He picks up Brooke and she squeals with excitement. He puts
her down and places Nate on his shoulders and they head into the kitchen together.
Nate- Hey Unkey Ewwe.
Lo- Hey Natester. What’s ya been up to?
Nate- Nottin much. (Louie laughs)
Louie goes in the kitchen and sees Sonny.
Lo- Hey man, how ya doin’? (they shake hands)
S- I’m doing good. (he looks up at Nate) Looks like your doing good for
yourself.
Lo- Yeah Nate’s a special boy, but he’s not mine. (Sonny looks surprised
by this) I wish he was, cause g*d knows how I feel about him and Bren, but
she doesn’t feel the same. She’s still in love with Nate’s father.
S- Oh, sorry man.
Lo- Hey, that’s okay. I’ll settle for just being in her life. She’s a great
lady.
S- That she is. So how long you in town for?
Lo- A few weeks, maybe longer if things change. Let’s go in the other room.
(he takes Nate down off his shoulders and gets himself something to eat)
Sonny, Lois and Ned were all sitting on the couch together. Brenda is sitting
on Louie’s lap on the recliner and Sonny can’t help but look at her. Nate
comes up to Lois and puts his ear up to her stomach.
Nate- Mommy says the baby in here.
L- Yup, she’s right.
Nate- Can he see me?
L- No not yet Nate. You think it’s gonna be a boy?
Nate- Yup. You can name Nafanel like me.
L- Oh yeah. (she tickles him)
Nate- (giggles with his dimples flaring)
Sonny’s watching Lois with Nate. He sees the dimples and then he notices
the curly hair and the slightly olive skin and it finally hits him. He
feels his face pale. Lois looks at Sonny and notices the sudden look of
shock that has wiped over his face. Sonny looks at Lois and all she can do
is look back at him.
Sonny gets up and walks to the bathroom. He shuts the door and splashes some
cold water on his face. He sits down on the tub and takes out his wallet. He
finds a picture of him when he was Nate’s age and studies it carefully. Nate
looks exactly like him except with Brenda’s eyes. He doesn’t know why he hadn’t
thought of it before. Now he realizes what Brenda wanted to tell him in the
park, those few weeks ago, before they were interrupted.

Living room
Brenda had seen Sonny head to the bathroom suddenly and she looked over
to Lois. Lois looked down at Nate and nodded. Suddenly Brenda realized what
must have happened. She gets off Louie and walks to the bathroom. She softly
knocks on the door.
B- Sonny, Can I come in?
Chapter 12
B- Sonny, Can I come in?
S- (lifts his head out of his hands - softly) Yeah.
Brenda opens the door slowly and she sees him sitting on the edge of the
tub. She shuts the door and sits down next to him. He looks deeply into her eyes. He can still see the love they shared. He knows fate brought her back to him and now he has a son to think about.
S- (gently touches her cheek) Brenda, is he my son?
B- (closes her eyes at his touch) Yes. His name is Nathaniel Aaron, but
we call him Nate.
S- He’s beautiful Bren. He has your eyes.
B- Well, he has your dimples. (she runs her fingers over Sonny’s dimples)
S- We really need to talk, but not here.
B- I know, can you stay after everyone leaves? We can talk then. You can
help me put Nate to bed. (she smiles) He needs to get to know his dad. Sonny,
he’s going to love you so much. You’re gonna be a wonderful father.
Sonny smiles at her and they both stand up at the same time. Both are caught
off guard by how close they are. They stand still for a moment before Sonny’s
lips come crashing down on Brenda’s. His hands move to her face, while her
hands move around his neck where she runs her fingers in his hair. Sonny moves
a few steps closer to where Brenda’s back is right against the bathroom door.
Their kisses grow increasingly intense before the both pull away breathlessly.
After their kiss Brenda wraps her arms around him and he holds her close. She
feels so safe in his arms. She realizes how much she wants him in her life, but
she knows she has a living room full of guests who are probably wondering where
they are. She slowly moves out of his embrace, a few small tears falling down
her cheeks. Sonny uses his thumbs to gently brush them away.
B- Sonny, I missed you so much. You don’t know how badly I wanted to find you.
S- I missed you too baby. I thought about you everyday. I searched for you,
(emotional) you gotta believe that I searched for you.
B- (hugs him) I believe you Sonny. Now come on lets go out there and try to
enjoy the rest of this night.
The walk out of the bathroom together and the only one who has noticed they
were gone is Lois. Everyone else is watching the home movies and laughing.
Just then a little Brenda and Robin come on the screen. They are all dancing
and singing when Jason, AJ, and Ned come on. They all have their hair slicked
back and Jason is playing air-guitar and AJ is banging on pots while Ned holds
the microphone. They all start singing and dancing around.
N- Just when I thought it was possible to forget that.
J- Too late. Now even more people know about it.
AJ- Yeah thanks Bren.
B- Hey what are friends for.
C- Well I got a kick out of it.
AJ- That’s it Bren. I’m gonna have Reginald find the old boxes of photos
of us and I’m gonna show everyone all your goofy pictures. Like the time Lois
and Robin dressed you up to look like Madonna. Lois and Robin laugh hysterically.
B- Huh, You wouldn’t dare!
AJ- Ya wanna bet?
B- I’ll just go to Edward and tell him I know who erased all his stock files.
AJ- That wasn’t me, that was Jason.
J- Jeez, thanks Brenda.
B- Opps. Sorry Jase.
Just then the tv got louder and you see Brenda in Nate at their house in
California.

Brenda feeding Nate his lunch.
B- Come on Nate, I know this food tastes disgusting, but if you say momma
I’ll get you some ice cream. Come on Nate, say momma.
Nate - da da da da
B- I know you know how to say dada, but can you say momma, come it’s for
ice cream. Mom-ma, watch me... mom-ma.
Nate- Mom.. Momma.
B- (smiling brightly) There you go. Come let’s go for the ice cream and
we’ll call Aunt Lo while we’re at it.
Scene Ends
B- (gets up to shut off the tape) Well that’s the end of that. (Looks at
Sonny, and sees tears threatening to fall from his eyes)
L- I remember when you called me that day. You were so happy. You had been
trying to get him to say that for weeks. (she laughs)
B- Yeah, I had to bribe him with the ice cream. (she sees Nate asleep on the
floor where the rest of the kids are playing) Well, I guess that’s enough
torture for one night.
AJ- Yeah we better go, Michael’s got a play-date tomorrow and we don’t
want him to be cranky.
C- Yeah I’ll get him.
L- Yeah, we should be going too. I’m getting tired. Ned go get Brooke.
N- Okay, come on princess.
Everyone is making their way out the door as Brenda hugs them goodbye.
She shuts the door and turns around to see Sonny holding a sleeping Nate.
S- Where’s his room?
B- Oh, it’s upstairs, here I’ll show you.
They go upstairs to Nate’s room. She takes off Nate’s clothes and puts
his pajamas on. Sonny watches in amazement at what a wonderful mother she
is. Sonny pulles back the covers so she could slip him easily into bed.
She covers him and runs her fingers in his hair then kisses his forehead.
They go downstairs.
B- You wanna drink?
S- Umm, yeah okay.
B- Scotch?
S- (smiles) You remembered?
B- I’d never forget. (she pours him the drink and goes to sit next to him)
I think we better have that talk now.
S- (sips his drink) Yeah. Brenda, I’m sorry things turned out the way they
did. I’m sorry you had to raise Nate by yourself. I’m sorry that I wasn’t
there for you or Nate, but I’m going to be here for you both from now on.
B- Sonny, I wouldn’t change one second that has happened to me these past
three years. I’ve had some of the best moments of my life. I have a family
now, better than when I was a kid. Nate makes me happy. He’s what I go on
for everyday. Sonny, there’s nothing that has happened to me or hasn’t happened
to me that you need to be sorry for. You didn’t know, it’s not your fault so
don’t beat yourself up over it. You have a chance to be a part of his life now
and that’s all that matters.
S- Yeah, thanks Brenda.
B- For what?
S- For giving me the best thing in my life.
B- Well, as I remember you helped in that department too, so I should be
thanking you too.
S- (laughs) You always know how to make me smile.
B- Aww, I try. Hey I have more home movies of Nate if you want to come over
and watch them with us one day.
S- Are you going to tell him about me?
B- Oh of course I am. I wouldn’t do that to him, I wouldn’t do that to you.
Are you busy around lunch time tomorrow?
S- No.
B- Great. Come here for lunch and we can tell him together.
S- Thanks Brenda, I better be heading home now.
B- Okay thanks for coming. (she hugs him at the front door)
S- (walking down the sidewalk, he turns around) Hey Bren, sweet dreams. (he dimples)
Brenda already knew she would. She would have the same dreams she has every
night, of her, Sonny and Nate being a family and having more children together.
That was the problem though, it was only a dream, and she always woke up alone.
Chapter 13
The next morning, Brenda was making Nate his breakfast when the phone started
ringing. She picks it up on the second ring and says ‘hello?’.
L- Hiya Bren. Are you okay today?
B- I’m fine, relieved actually. I’m glad he finally knows, Lo. I’ve been
wanting to tell him everyday for the past three years.
L- He really cares about you Bren. I could see it in his eyes last night,
especially when you and Nate came on that video.
B- Yeah, I know he does, but he’s married Lo.
L- Brenda, I have never seen him like that with Lily. He’s still hung up on you.
I’ve been around him these last three years. He didn’t look fully alive until
that day he seen you at my house.
B- Yeah well, there’s nothing I can do about that now.
L- Yes there is! You tell him how you feel about him.
B- I have Lo, or at least I’ve tried to. He’s coming over here this afternoon
to tell Nate that he’s his father.
L- Well, that’s a start. How do you think Nate will react?
B- Well, I’ve told him about his dad, but I never had a picture to show him.
L- Well, at least he’s old enough to understand what happened and what’s going
to happen now. Take your time to explain to him why Sonny wasn’t there and why
he’s there now and I’m sure he’ll understand.
B- Thanks Lo, I needed to hear that from you.
L- No problem, best of luck, let me know how everything goes.
B- Sure will, how about we have lunch tomorrow and discuss our options for
this record company?
L- Sounds wonderful. Talk to ya tomorrow. Love ya.
B- Love ya too, Lo. Bye.
Brenda hangs up the phone and gives Nate his breakfast. When they’re done eating
Brenda takes Nate upstairs gives him a bath and dresses him. Lunch time Brenda
is upstairs putting the clean laundry away when there is a knock at the door.
Nate peeks out the window and see Sonny. Sonny sees his son and he smiles and
waves to him. Nate waves and runs upstairs to get Brenda.
Nate- Momma, momma door!
B- Okay Nate, I’m coming.
Brenda sets the basket down and answers the door. Sonny smiles dimples showing.
Brenda smiles back at him and invites him in.
B- (walks over to the stairs) Nate, come on down.
Nate- (running) What momma?
B- Nathaniel Aaron, what did I tell you about running in the house?
Nate- Sorry momma. (walks the rest of the way down)
B- Good boy. Now come and sit down. I need to talk to you and you need to
listen.
Nate- ‘kay.
Brenda carries Nate over to the couch and she sits down next to Sonny.
B- Nate this is Sonny. Remember that I told you that daddy wasn’t with us
because momma didn’t know where daddy was? (Nate nods his head yes) Well when
we came here to see Aunt Lo, mommy found out daddy lived here too. (Nate smiles)
Nate, Sonny is your daddy.
Nate- (smiles at Sonny) Really momma?
B- Really. Nate say hi to your daddy.
Nate- (still smiling, hugs Sonny tightly around his neck) Hi daddy.
S- (smiles, tears in his eyes) Hi son, hi Nate. (Nate sits on Sonny’s lap)
Nate, I want you to know how much.., how much I love you and that I’m always
going to be here when you need me.
Nate- Luv you too daddy. Come on let’s play. (pulls Sonny’s hand) Come on.
S- (smiling) Bren?
B- (smiling) Yeah sure go ahead, you can stay as long as you want.

A while later
Brenda goes upstairs to check on Nate. She notices how quiet it’s gotten so
she peeks in his room. She smiles when she sees Nate laying on his bed next
to Sonny. Sonny is reading Nate’s favorite book and Nate’s eyes are slowly
closing. Sonny sees Brenda and smiles. By the time Sonny’s finished reading
the book Nate is fast asleep. Sonny gently gets off the bed and covers him.
Sonny and Brenda walk out of the room and down the stairs.
B- Would you like something to drink? Scotch?
S- (laughs) Yeah, thanks.
Brenda hands him the drink and they sit down.
S- (looking deep into Brenda’s eyes) I want you to know that how I feel about
you..., the love I feel for you is so strong Brenda. I’ve known it since the
first time I looked into your eyes. I want to be with you. I want to love you.
I want to hold you, I want to kiss you, I want to make love to you. I want you
in my life.
B- (tears are slowly falling from her eyes) Sonny, what are you saying.
S- I’m saying that.. that I love you and I want us, me, you and Nate, to be a
family, but I need to know what you want. Do you want that?
B- (smiling she throws her arms around him) Sonny, I’ve waited to hear you say
that every minute of every day since the last time I saw you. (pulls away, seriously)
Sonny, what about Lily?
S- (just as serious) Brenda, I don’t love Lily. I married Lily because that’s what
her father wanted. He wanted us to be married so I wouldn’t go after his business,
so that’s why I married her. I thought that I would never see you again.
B- So you’re not in love with Lily?
S- No, I’m not. I’m in love with you. I’m in love with my child’s mother, I’m in
love with the most wonderful, caring, beautiful woman in the world.
He leans in and kisses her gently on her mouth and slowly pulls away. Brenda
doesn’t let him go far. She moves closer and crashes her lips down upon his. He
pulls her closer so she is sitting on top of his lap. She runs her fingers in his
hair as he makes mad love to her mouth, their tongues dueling all the while. She
moves away while her hands start unbuttoning his shirt and each piece of skin exposed
she kisses. He begins to pull her shirt over her head when Brenda goes to unzip his
pants. Sonny puts his hands on her face and kisses her with all the desire he
has built up inside and then he pulls away.
S- Bren, I want you so much, but I think we should wait.
B- (kisses his neck) But what if I don’t wanna wait?
S- Well I don’t want to wait either..
B- (she interrupts him by putting her finger over his lips. She reaches down
and feels his manhood grow even harder against her hand) I can see that.
(she’s massaging his manhood while kissing up his neck only stopping to suck on his earlobe)
S- (groaning) Brenda.. Mmmmm Brenda. Please baby, I really think we should wait.
Wait until we know each other better and until after I’m separated from Lily.
B- (getting off him and fixing her shirt) Boy you sure know how to kill the mood.
S- I’m sorry baby. (puts his fingers under her chin so that she looks up at him)
Besides what would Nate think if he saw his daddy ravishing his beautiful mother
on the couch.
B- I guess your right. (She moves to kiss him but the she stops) We can still
kiss though, right?
S- Oh yeah baby, I don’t think I could stand being in the same room as you and
not be able to kiss you.
Sonny reaches over and his lips begin sucking profusely on hers. Their make-out
session is growing more intense by the moment when the phone starts ringing.
The phone continues it’s ringing, so finally Brenda has to move out of Sonny’s
arms to answer it.
B- Hello?
L- Bren, it’s me, how did everything go?
B- Can I call you back in a few minutes?
L- Yeah sure.
B- Okay bye Lois. (Brenda hangs up the phone and walks back over to Sonny,
who stands up)
S- I really have to get back to work.
B- I’ll miss you. Think about me. Dream about me.
S- You know I will baby. I’ve been thinking about you and dreaming about
you for the past three years and that isn’t about to stop now. (he kisses her)
B- Good, cause I’ll be doing the same. (she kisses him goodbye and walks him
to the door, as he’s walking down the sidewalk she yells after him) Oh, and
make sure Lily keeps her hands off you.
S- Will do baby, nobody’s hands will touch me but yours from now on.
B- Good, Love you.
S- Love you too sweetheart.
Sonny leaves, Brenda watches him pull away and walks back inside. She thinks
to herself “Now this day has turned out better than I thought it would. Oh,
I better call Lo back she’s probably wondering what the heck is going on.”
She laughs and dials Lo’s number.
Chapter 14
Brenda picks up the phone and dials Lo’s number, on the third ring Lo picks up.
L- Hello?
B- Hey, Lo, it’s me.
L- Hiya, how’d everything go?
B- Oh, it turned out so much better than I could have ever hoped for. Nate
was so happy. He dragged Sonny upstairs to play, then he fell asleep when
Sonny was reading him a book. Sonny is so good with him. They played up
there for hours, Lo.
L- That’s great. I’m so happy for you, Nate and Sonny. I gotta go now cause
Nedly will be home soon and I gotta start dinna, so I’ll talk to ya lata.
B- Ok, see ya at lunch tomorrow. Bye Lo.
L- Bye Bren.

Sonny’s penthouse - later that night.
Lily is sitting on the couch when Sonny comes home. Sonny walks in and sits
down across from her.
S- Lily we really need to talk.
Li- Okay, Sonny. What would you like to talk about?
S- We need to talk about us and our marriage. I know your not in love me
and I’m not in love you. I’m in love with someone else. She has my heart
and she’s the mother of my son. I’m asking you for a divorce.
Lily thinks back to what Miguel said to her at Kelly’s
Flashback:
Li- Oh. That’s great. Are you seeing anyone?
M- No, not at the moment. Why would you be jealous if I were?
Li- No of course not, I’m a married woman.
M- Yes, you may be married but I’m sure he doesn’t make you happy like I
could. (End Of Flashback)
S- Lily, did you hear me?
Li- Are you sure this is really want you want? I can make you happy Sonny.
I know how to live in your world.
S- Yes, I’m sure. I know you know how to live in my world but you deserve
to have someone that loves you and I may love you like a friend, but I’m
not in love with you the way a husband should.
Li- I’m going to have to think about this Sonny.
S- I understand. Thank you Lily.

Luke’s
Sonny comes in and sits at the bar. Luke walks over and sits next to him.
Lu- Corinthos you look like sh!t.
S- Thanks, man, you always know how to make a guy feel better. Claude get
me scotch straight up.
Lu- Oh boy, must be women troubles. The little wifey givin’ you a hard time?
S- Nah, little more than that.
Lu- Well, spill it cause I have all the time in the world to listen.
S- Divorce.
Lu- Wow, she wants a divorce.
S- No, I want the divorce. I feel bad for hurting Lily but things weren’t
working out. They haven’t been for a long time.
Lu- Sorry man. What went wrong?
S- I’m in love with someone else. (smiles at the thought of Brenda)
Lu- I guess you both finally got things on the same page. How does Brenda feel?
S- She doesn’t know I’m asking Lily for a .. wait a minute, how did you
know it was Brenda?
Lu- What do you think I’m stupid? You’ve been moping around here for years.
These fast few weeks you’ve seemed different, happier. When I seen you at
that party last night, I knew. How’s the kid?
S- Who Nate? Nate’s wonderful. You knew?
Lu- I told you I had an idea who is father might me, he looks so much like
you. And the way you two were staring at each other I knew there had to be
something going on between you.
S- Yeah I met her in Rio right before I came back to PC. She’s been living
in California.
Lu- Wow, so what was it love at first sight?
S- (remembers their first night) Yeah, I think it was. She had my heart the
minute I saw her and she’s had it ever since.
Lu- Tell me about it. That’s how I feel in love with Laura. There was something
so wonderful about her that I couldn’t help but want to be in her life.
S- Yeah, but what am I supposed to do about Lily? She’s probably calling daddy
dearest as we speak.

Outback
Lily walks in the Outback to get out of the penthouse for a while and not
think of Sonny. She knew he would most likely be at Luke’s so that’s why
she chose the Outback, or at least that’s what she told herself. She takes
a seat by the bar and Miguel walks over to her.
M- What can I get for you Lily?
Li- Just some wine would be great, thanks.
Miguel brings her the wine.
M- (snickers) So, where is this fabulous husband of yours?
Li- He’s busy.
M- I always thought you deserved the best but I didn’t think things would
turn out to be this good for you.
Li- Miguel, shut up. My married life is none of your business.
M- Come on, Lily. I know how happy we could be together. Why can’t you just
let yourself realize that?

Brenda’s house
Nate was in bed for the night and Brenda was just getting out of the shower.
As she is drying herself off she notices a small lump in her left breast.
She’s never noticed it before but she decides that she should go have it
check out tomorrow.

Chapter 15
The Next Morning.
Brenda made herself a doctors appointment for that afternoon. She has already
called Lois to cancel their lunch date and ask her to watch Nate while
she goes to the doctor. Brenda drops Nate off at the gatehouse and goes
to her appointment.
She is in the exam room when the doctor walks in.
Dr.- I’m Dr. Melanie Johnson. You must be Miss Barrett. What seems to be
the problem this afternoon?
B- When I was getting a shower last night I noticed a small lump under my
left breast.
Dr.- Is there any other cases of Breast Cancer in your family?
B- Yes, my mother died of Breast Cancer when I was a baby.
Dr.- Well, let me check you out and then we’ll go from there.
Dr.- Brenda, it’s very good that you noticed this right away. It’s only a
small cyst but it’s always better to be safe than sorry.
B- Okay, so what do we do now?
Dr.- Well, I’m going to order a biopsy to see if the cyst is cancerous.
This is an overnight procedure and you’ll have the results within 24-48
hours. You can make an appointment at the desk.
B- Okay, will you be doing the biopsy?
Dr.- Yes.
B- Well what happens if it does turn out to be cancerous?
Dr.- We will get to that when the time comes. Right now just think positively
and be sure to let the people who care about you know about this. It would be
good for you to have support.
B- Thanks doctor for all you help.
Dr.- You’re more than welcome. I’ll be seeing you soon.
The gatehouse
Brenda knocks on the door and Lois answers. Immediately Lois can tell some
things wrong because Brenda looks very upset.
L- Bren, what’s the matter? Why did you need to go to the doctor? Are you
sick?
B- (sits down) When I was getting a shower last night, I felt a lump under
my left breast. I went to the doctor this morning to get it checked out.
L- Oh My G*d, Brenda, what did the doctor say?
B- She said that it was good I did something about it right away. I have a
scheduled biopsy in a week. That’s when they’ll remove the cyst and check to
see if it’s cancerous. Lo, what if it turns out to be cancerous? My mom died
when I was little from breast cancer, I can’t leave Nate. (starts to cry, Lois
hugs her) Lo, what am I going to do?
L- You are going to make it through this. You are one of the strongest people
I know Brenda Veronica Barrett. You will face this and you will come out on top.
B- (wiping her eyes) Thanks Lo. I’m gonna take Nate home and spend some time
with him. Can you tell Ned for me, I don’t know if I could talk about this
again today.
L- Sure, are you going to tell Sonny?
B- Yeah, I’ll tell him tomorrow.
L- Ok Bren, you take good care of yourself. If you need me, call.
B- Ok, I will. Thanks for everything Lo.
Brenda picks up Nate, she puts him in his car-seat and they drive home.
Sonny’s Penthouse
Sonny walks down the stairs of his penthouse and over to the window. He
stands there looking down at the city below. His mind wonders back to Brenda’s,
playing with Nate, watching Brenda with Nate and holding her in his arms again.
He smiles because he can feel in his heart that things are going to work out.
Brenda’s house
Brenda is lying in her bed watching a sleeping Nate. She remembers back to
when he was just born and how amazed she was to have him in her life. She prays
that somehow she won’t have to leave him. That’s how she stays the rest of
the night, just watching her baby boy.
