Chapter 1
Sonny’s casino in Rio
The nightclub inside the hotel/casino
Brenda Barrett has just finished a long days worth of shooting and goes
to the nightclub to relax. This is the only downtime she has because in
the morning she will be traveling to a new location for more of the constant
photo shoots that accompany being a top fashion model. She is dressed in
casual, yet sexy attire. She’s wearing a black mid-drift shirt with low-rider
light denim jeans with black strappy sandals on her feet. Her hair is up with
curls cascading on her shoulders. As soon as she walks in to the club she
notices that all eyes are on her, but for once she wishes that people would
notice her for her personality not just her looks. She takes a seat at the
bar and orders a martini.
Sonny Corinthos, the hotel/casino owner, has just finished the rounds of
making sure his finest clients were contented for the night. He changes in
to his best Armani black slacks and puts on a dark blue buttoned shirt. He takes
his matching jacket along with him just incase he decides to go for a walk along
the beachfront. He makes a special trip to his nightclub just to make sure that
everything is running itself smoothly. He walks in and the room is a buzz as
usual. He looks to the bar a notices the most beautiful woman he has ever
seen in his life. He then figures ‘what the hell’ and decides that because she
is alone he will go talk to her.
Brenda turns around and notices ‘the sexiest man that ever walked the earth
and he’s coming toward me.’ She smiles to herself and sips her drink.
S- Diego, get me a scotch on the rocks and another of what this charming lady
is having.
B- (looks at Sonny) Martini, thank you.
S- (smiles showing his deepest dimples) It’s always a pleasure for me to buy
a beautiful lady a drink. (he reaches his hand out toward her) Sonny.
B- (she too reaches her hand to shake his) Brenda.
Their fingers touch and immediately they can feel an electric current flowing
between them. Brenda smiles and Sonny smiles back at her.
B- Did anyone ever tell you, you have the most amazing dimples?
S- Thank you.
B- I bet you hear that all the time.
S- Yeah, but any other time it doesn’t mean anything. Did anyone ever tell
you that you are the most beautiful woman on the planet?
B- (she laughs) Yeah, right. Sure I am.
S- Would I lie? Well you don’t know me well enough to say that, but my eyes
never deceive me and they are telling me that you are the most beautiful
woman that I have ever scene.
B- Oh, well if you put it that way, thank you.
S- So, how are you enjoying your stay here?
B- Well, it’s been fine, well what I’ve seen of it. I just got in this morning
and I haven’t been able to go sightseeing. I had to do a shoot all day. Then
I decided to come here to relax.
S- You call this relaxing?
B- Yeah. If I’m sitting in one place then it’s relaxing for me.
S- What kind of shoot did you have today?
B- Modeling shoot, I’m a model.
S- Ahh, I should have guessed. Well what do you say I give you a small
tour of this fine island?
B- I’d love too.
S- Great. Diego, give us a refill to go.
D- Sure thing.
Sonny reaches for her hand to help her to her feet. Brenda smiles at him
graciously and then grabs her drink. Sonny then takes his and they walk
hand and hand out the door and down to the ocean. He sets his jacket down
for her sit on. They sit there for many moments in silence just watching
the ocean come to the shore, all the while stealing secret glances at each
other. They both go to look at the other at the same time and they laugh.
B- I’ve never seen anything more beautiful in my whole life.
S- (looking directly at Brenda) Neither have I.
B- Sonny, I was talking about the view. I love watching the long, dark ocean
that seems to go on forever. It’s so peaceful. This is what heaven must be like.
S- (looks out to the endless ocean) Maybe you’re right.
Chapter 2??
Sonny stands up and reaches for Brenda’s hand. She gladly give him her hand.
S- Let’s walk for a little bit.
B- Okay. (they start walking down the shoreline) When I was a little girl
I always dreamed of living on a beach. That way every night I could sit on
my front porch and watch the sea coming in and out.
S- The best parts of my childhood have been spent at the beach. Mom would
take me down for the day and she would sit there, under an umbrella, most
likely reading a book, she loved to read, and she would always watch me while
I swam in the ocean. In the ocean is where I learned how to swim. She would
watch me as I swam out farther and farther and I would always reach the same
exact area and she would call for me to come back.
B- Wow, that’s great. I never went to the beach as a child. My father always
favored my older sister over me. He would take her on trip after trip, while
I stayed home or was at one of the numerous boarding schools that I attended.
That’s how I spent my childhood, bouncing around from one school to the next.
I made some great friends along the way, the kind that would always be your
friends for life, but it never really compared to the love I missed out on
from my family.
S- (he stops walking and looks at her) I’m sorry. I wish I could change that
for you, but look. Look at us now. Here we are on this beautiful beach.
B- (runs her hand over his cheek) Thanks. Maybe if my mom wouldn’t have died
when I was a baby my life would have been different, but then again maybe it
wouldn’t have. My childhood, as screwed up as it was, has made me the person
that I am today and I wouldn’t change who I am today for anything.
S- That’s great you feel that way. I’d love to change some of the things that
happened in my life. I’m not sure I’m completely happy with the person I am
because of the childhood I had. But lets change this dark subject for now. (he
smiles at her) Would you give me the honor of a dance?
B- You want to dance here? There’s no music.
S- Listen. Listen to sound of the waves crashing. You said yourself that it
was a peaceful sound. Well that’s music enough for me. So would you like to
dance?
B- I’d love to.
Sonny takes Brenda’s hand and moves her closer to him. Her head rests against
his shoulder while her one hand is intertwined with his the other is draped
slightly around his neck. They move slowly to their own beat. The beat of
their hearts.
They pull away slowly and Sonny looks deeply into Brenda’s eyes. He gently
puts his hands on her face. Before Brenda can believe it Sonny’s lips come
crashing down unto hers. She closes her eyes as their tongues duel together.
She brings her hands around and her fingers rest on his neck while they mingle
in the ends of his hair.
Her touch is making Sonny wild with desire. He continues making love to her
mouth as his hands roam down the curves of her body to come to rest at the
bottom of her back. Eventually the pull away breathlessly. Sonny smiles
deeply at Brenda, takes her hand and leads her back to where his jacket is
laying in the sand.
Sonny sits down on his jacket and then pulls Brenda down with him. She sits
in-between his legs and puts her hands on his chest. She moves her mouth up
to his and the met in an explosive kiss. Brenda continues to run her hands
on his chest when Sonny puts his hands on her ass and pulls her closer to him.
He gently lays back and Brenda is now positioned on top of him, their lips
having never parted.
Things grow increasingly more intense as Brenda starts to unbutton the buttons
that are on Sonny’s shirt. She places open-mouth kisses on his well sculpture
chest. Sonny’s body is burning with desire when he pulls Brenda’s mouth back
to his. They again pull apart breathlessly.
S- (in-between heated kisses) How about we take this inside to my room?
B- Mmm Hmm. (Sonny’s fingers are running through her hair that is no longer
pulled up) Mmm, yeah.
They walk back inside the casino, hands still intertwined and go into the
elevator. Once the doors close, Sonny moves Brenda back until she is up
against the back of the elevator. He places his hands above her head and
begins to work his magic on her mouth once again. Brenda puts her hands on
his waist and untucks his shirt from his pants. She then puts both her arms
on his shoulder and around his neck. The doors to the elevator open and they
are on the top floor, penthouse suite.
Sonny sticks his plastic key into the slot and holds the door so Brenda can
enter. As soon as he shuts the door he starts passionately kissing her. He
lifts her and carries her to his bedroom. They move over to the bed where
Brenda starts to unbutton his shirt. They are still kissing when she slips
his shirt off him. He pulls away from her mouth and begins kissing down her
neck until he reaches her chest.
He lifts her shirt over her head and then unclasps her bra. He gently picks
her up and lays her on the bed. He climbs on top of her and begins suckling
her breasts. Brenda moans in pleasure as she runs her fingers through his
curly hair. She pulls him back up to her mouth and kisses him with pent-up
desire. Her hands runs down his back and to the front of his waist. Sonny is
intrigued as she starts to unzip his pants. He can tell that she’s feeling the
same for him as he is for her. He moans with pleasure as she begins to massage
his manhood.
S- Mmmm, Brenda.
B- Sonny, I want you so much.
That’s all he needs to hear. He unzips her jeans and lifts her hips as takes
them off of her. Then he slips her panties off her. He dives his finger into
her warmth. Brenda gasps and then pushes his pants and boxers off him. She
takes him in his mouth and Sonny moans in pleasure. When he feels like he’s
going to lose control he brings her back up to his mouth. He kisses her hungrily,
turns her over and enters her quickly. Brenda moans as he fills her. Sonny begins
to thrust inside her. Each thrust is faster and harder than the one before.
Brenda wraps her legs around him, pushing him in even deeper. They come together
thrust for thrust until go over the edge of ecstasy.
They lay side by side until their breathing is normal. Brenda moves into Sonny’s
arm and he holds her. She runs her fingers on his chest, closes her eyes and
falls peacefully asleep in his arms. Sonny watches her sleep and runs his fingers
in her hair until he too falls into a peaceful sleep.
Chapter 3???
Sonny wakes up the next morning and smiles when he sees Brenda snuggled up-close
to him. He lays there watching her until she stretches and opens her eyes. The
first things she sees is Sonny and she smiles at him.
S- Good morning, sleepyhead. I was going to order breakfast but I didn’t
know what you like, so if you tell me what you want I’ll order some now.
B- (finally registering what he’s saying she sits up quickly) (panicked)
What time is it?
S- (turns over and looks at the alarm clock) It’s almost ten.
B- (starts to get out of bed) Oh sh!t. I’m supposed to be at the airport.
My plane leaves at eleven.
Brenda jumps out of the bed and starts looking for her clothes. She finds her
panties and slips them on. She then puts on his jeans, bra and then shoes,
but she can’t find her shirt. Sonny watches her dressing, amazed by her beauty.
B- Sonny, do you see my shirt? I can’t leave without my shirt.
S- Here, why don’t you just take mine? (He hands her the blue buttoned shirt
that he was wearing the night before.)
B- Thanks. (She puts the shirt on and grabs her purse. She starts to walk to
the door when Sonny stops her.)
S- Brenda wait! (He walks up to her and put fingers in her hair) Last night
was beautiful.
B- (smiles and caresses his cheek with her hand) Yeah, yeah it really was.
Sonny moves in closer to her and their mouths meet in an explosive kiss. A
kiss that made it seem like time stands still. They pull away slowly and
Brenda runs her fingers over Sonny’s lips and then runs her fingers in his
curls.
B- Bye Sonny. (She walks out of his room as he watches her go.)

Brenda’s room
Brenda packs what little that she had unpacked. She picks up her suitcase
and goes toward the elevator. She gets on and off the elevator and then walks
through the lobby and out the door. Once outside there is a limo waiting for
her. The driver takes her suitcase and puts it in the trunk. He then holds
the door open for her. She turns around and looks at the hotel, keeping the
memory of it, and then gets in the limo. The driver shuts her door and gets
in and they take off for the airport.

Sonny’s room
He stands at the window, looking down. Then he sees her. He watches as she
takes a final look at the hotel. He watches as she looks up and it seems like
she’s looking right up at him, but then she turns away and gets in the limo.
Then the limo pulls away. He starts to remember all the events that took place
last night. Starting with when he seen her in the club up until this morning
when she left his room. The phone starts ringing and he is pulled from his
thoughts. He goes and answers the phone.
S- Corinthos.
J- Sonny, it’s Jason. We’ve got a problem.
S- What’s going on?
J- Sonny you gotta come back to PC. Moreno is looking for you. He wants a
meeting with you. He’s causing trouble and I think it would be best if you
come back.
S- Well there’s nothing holding me here now. (thinking that Brenda left)
I’ll be home on the next flight.
J- Great. I’ll have your driver waiting for you at the airport.
S- Great. Thanks Jason.
Sonny packs this clothes and a few of things and heads to the airport.
Chapter 4

Once Sonny came back to PC he took care of the Moreno problem without any
blowups. He still couldn’t seem to get Brenda off his mind. No matter how
hard he tried the memory of her was always with him.

After her photo shoot in Paris Brenda started feeling sick. She decided
to take a break and went home to California. She went to the doctors and
found out she was pregnant. She was having a baby and Sonny was the father.
She tried to contact the casino but they wouldn’t tell her anything. And she
didn’t know his last name so there was no way she could find him.

Sonny was still haunted by Brenda’s memory. He tried every where to find
her. He was still thinking of her when his girlfriend asked him if they
were ever going to get married to make her father happy. Her father was a
very important man and Sonny figured that, most likely, he’d never see
Brenda again to he proposed and they were married in a small ceremony.

At the last stage of her pregnancy Brenda called her best-friend, Lois,
to come and stay with her before and after her delivery. Lois was there for
her through everything. Brenda gave birth to a beautiful baby boy who looked
just like his father, dimples and all. She named him Nathaniel Aaron Barrett.
They call him Nate. Over the next two years her friend was the only one to
know about her baby. She came to visit Brenda often and Lois too just found
out she and Ned were going to have their second child.

Brenda was on the phone with her friend.
B- Lo, I just made a life decision.
L- Oh, ya? Well, you’re gonna tell me what it is right?
B- Yeah. Well, you know that record company you were telling me about? I’m
gonna stop modeling for awhile and I’m taking you up on the offer to be your
partner. It’s a great way for me to spend time with Nate and now that your
pregnant you’re gonna need some help. So, I figured who better to help you
with it then, your best friend, me.
L- Brenda that’s great! You can stay here the gatehouse with me and Nedly
until you find yourself a place. When are ya comin’?
B- Well, I’m gonna pack some of our things and I’ll leave first thing tomorrow,
is that okay?
L- Yeah, that wonderful. I’ll have Ned set up a room right away.
B- Great Lo, thanks
L- Great, see ya tomorrow.
B- Okay, see ya tomorrow.

Chapter 5??
The next afternoon at the airport
Brenda and Nate step off the plane and they spot Lois right away. Lois runs
over to them and hugs them tightly. Then she takes Nate from Brenda and they
walk to the baggage claim where they meet Ned and Brooklynn. Ned grabs their
suitcases while Brenda give Brooke a hug and holds her hand as they all walk
to the car. They all go to the gatehouse.
Brenda carries Nate inside while Ned brings their suitcases.
B- Wow, Lo this place is beautiful.
L- Well, it’s not the Q mansion but hey it’s home.
B- (laughs) How are the Q’s?
L- Crazy as usual. Tell her, Nedly, how much of a hard time they gave him
when they found out he was Eddie Maine.
N- Bren, don’t listen to her. Edward has just always had a low opinion of
everyone who is not him.
B- (smiles) Oh he’s just a big softy waiting to emerge.
L- That’ll be the day. Let me show you and Nate to your room.
B- Ok, come on Nate. (she takes Nate’s hand and he walks with her)
L- Here ya go.
B- Oh wow, this room is great. You didn’t have to go to all this trouble.
L- Don’t be silly. It was no trouble at all. Ned had AJ and Jason help him.
They got it done in no time at all.
B- I’m gonna have to go see them later. How’s Lila doing?
L- She’s in great health. When I told her you were coming back she was so
happy.
B- Yeah, well, I haven’t seen them in what.. seven years.
L- I can’t believe it’s been that long.
B- Well that’s because I’ve seen you so much over the last three years.
L- Yeah, remember the week in Rome four years ago?
B- How could I forget. That had to be the most fun I ever had. If I remember
that was a pre-wedding gift from me to you.
L- Yup, the best gift I’ve ever received, not including Brooke or this baby.
Ok, so what do you wanna do tonight cause you’re stepping back into PC society
with a bang.
B- Oh, I don’t know...
L- Yeah, it’ll be great. I’ve have Emily watch the kids and we can all go
to the Outback.
B- Okay, but right now, I’m gonna go take Nate to visit Lila.
L- Okay, give Lila my best.
B- I will. Come on Nate. Let’s go visit Grandma Lila.

The Q Mansion -
Brenda rings the doorbell and wait patiently for Reginald to answer. Suddenly
the door opens and AJ is standing there.
AJ- Hey, how ya doing? (reaches out to give her a hug)
B- I’m great. Is Lila around.
AJ- Actually she’s out in her rose garden. Let me go tell her that your here.
Who’s the little boy?
B- AJ this is my son Nate. Nate this is your Uncle AJ. (she picks Nate up)
Can you say Uncle AJ?
Nate- Unkey Age.
AJ- Close enough. Come in and have a seat, I’ll only be a second.
Brenda carries Nate in and they go into the living room. As soon as she sits
down Edward come walking into the room yelling about something, but he stops
when he notices her sitting there.
E- Brenda, is that you?
B- The one and only. How ya doing Edward?
E- (he smiles) My you’ve grown. (scowls) I’m as good as can be expect when
you can get any service around here.
B- The staff still giving you trouble?
E- Yes. Who’s the little boy?
B- Oh, Edward, this is my son, Nate. Nate that is your Grandpa Edward. Can
you say Grandpa Edward?
Nate- Gampa Ed.
E- Come here Nate. Let me go show you around. (he picks Nate up and takes
him into his office)
Brenda is sitting there waiting for Lila when Jason walks through the front
door. (***Authors note - Jason was never in the car accident. He just decided
that being a doctor wasn’t for him and he went to work for Sonny. He changed
is name to Jason Morgan as to not get recognized as a Quartermaine.***)
B- Jase it’s so good to see you. (she hugs him)
J- Why if it isn’t little Brenda, minus the pigtails I see.
B- (she laughs) How’s Robin?
J- Oh she’s doing good. She studying to be a doctor in Paris.
B- Yeah that’s what she said the last time I talked to her. Do you get to
see her much?
J- Not as much as I’d like to, but she writes letters and we talk on the
phone a lot.
B- That’s great. I’m glad your both happy. Now I have a favor to ask of
you. Lois is forcing me to go to the Outback with her and Ned tonight.
Now, I don’t have a date so I was wondering if you’d escort me?
J- You want to go with me? (she nods her head) Sure. I’ll pick you up at
eight.
Just then Edward walks back in the room with Nate. He puts Nate down and
Nate runs over to Brenda.
Nate- Guess what mommy?
B- What?
Nate- Stocks, bonds, and ELQ.
B- (she looks at Edward who smiles) Oh, was Grandpa Edward telling you about
ELQ?
Nate- yup. (Lila enters)
L- Brenda, it’s lovely to see you dear. All grown up I see.
B- Hello Lila. (they hug) This is my son Nate. Nate this is Grandma Lila.
Nate- Hi, Ganma Lila.
L- Hello, my dear. Oh Brenda he’s so precious.
B- Well I have to be going now because it’s time for his lunch. We’re
still running on California time. (she smiles)
L- Ok dear. You be sure to stop back and see us soon.
B- (she hugs Lila goodbye) I sure will. Say goodbye Nate.
Nate- Goodbye Nate. (they all laugh)

The Gatehouse
Brenda walks in and goes in the kitchen. She’s making him a hotdog when
Lois walks in.
L- So how was the meeting with the Q’s?
B- It’s was great. I have a date for tonight.
L- Oh yeah with who?
B- Jason’s taking me.
L- That’s great Bren. How’s Robin?
B- He said she’s doing good. I’m going to have to be more careful when I
visit there again though.
L- Why what happened?
B- Well, Edward took Nate to his office. Nate tell Aunt Lo what Grandpa
Edward taught you.
Nate- Stocks, bonds, and ELQ.
L- Oh, that’s just great Bren. What in the world am I gonna do if this baby
is a boy?
B- Lock him in his room until he’s 18 so he can’t be taken captive by the
Q’s?
L- Great plan but I doubt it would work. They’d probably break the door
down. (they laugh)
B- Well, I’m gonna put him down for his nap that way he won’t be cranky
later when we go out.
L- Okay.

Later that night at the Outback
Brenda, Jason, Lois and Ned are all seated at a table. They are talking
while they are eating dinner.
J- So I can remember when Bren used to stomp all over my cars so I would
come and play with her.
B- I didn’t stomp all over them.
N- Oh yes you did. Remember when I used to sing you’d always be my backup
dancer.
B- Oh yeah.
L- Boy would I have like to have been there to see that.
B- Oh Lo shut up.
They are all laughing and joking around when Sonny and Lily walk into the
Outback and are seated at a table close to theirs. Brenda looks up and her
eyes suddenly connect with Sonny. Sonny stands there for many moment unable
to believe what’s really infront of his eyes. Then Lily taps his shoulder
and pulls his arm telling him to sit down. Brenda looks quickly away from
him and down at her plate.
L- Hey Bren, are you okay?
B- Yeah, I’m just not feeling too well, must be the jetlag. Jase, do you
mind taking me home?
J- No I don’t mind. Bye Lois, Ned.
B- I’ll send Emily home when I get there. You two say and enjoy yourselves.
N- You sure you’re alright.
B- I’m fine. Don’t worry about me, have a nice time. Thanks guys.
Sonny watches as Jason and Brenda leave. He’ll have to be sure and question
Jason about her tomorrow.
