Labor of Love Chapters 1-5

 

Chapter 1

Brenda Barrett stared down at her stomach, in just a few months she would be big. She had to get out of there before anybody knew the truth. She doesn’t need Sonny to know about her secret. One secret had torn them apart and now another one would. Nobody, not even Lois knew about her situation. Brenda went downstairs to have some of Ruby’s famous chicken soup. She had found that Ruby’s chicken soup was the only thing that she could keep down anymore. Thankfully Sonny couldn’t see her like this, if he knew that she is expecting a gift from him in only eight months he would flip, especially since she hadn’t told him. She had seen him the day before when she had gone over to see Stone but he had been on a date with Lily, better known as mob princess/bitch, Lily Rivera. Sonny and Lily had been seeing each other for a couple of weeks now and it was obvious that they were intimate. Brenda shuddered with disgust, she had to go to a meeting at L&B and Sonny would be there. She hoped that he wouldn’t bring that thing to the meeting. She had once upon a time liked Lily but now she feels nothing but the outmost hate for her. She had always been jealous of the friendship that Sonny and Lily seemed to have and now especially, she is very jealous. She wishes that she was the one in his arms right now. She knows that in his heart it is her that he wants to be holding in his arms, her that he wants to be making love to at night but still that doesn’t help her any, it doesn’t ease any of her pain and heartache. Brenda got out of bed and found something that was form fitting. She was only a month pregnant and wasn’t showing so she figured that she would flaunt what she has to Sonny. She would make him want her. After she was dressed and had fixed her hair she sashayed out to her exotic red Porsche and sped off. When she arrived at the gatehouse she noticed the British Racing green Jaguar and let out a nervous sigh. She had hoped that she would be there before him. Now, what if Lily was there? What would she do then? Brenda felt sick when she walked in and she saw Lily there. She pretended like it didn’t bother her as she sauntered over to the couch and then sat down. They are having a meeting about Miguel.
B: “ Lois, I don’t think that Miguel should go on that tour, we definitely shouldn’t give him to somebody else.”
L: “ I know Brenda, but he is offering us a lot of money. He can make things happen for Miguel a lot faster than we can.”
B: “ I know, it’s just that Miguel has been such a good friend to me. I would miss him.”
L: “ So would I Brenda, but we can’t keep him here just because you would miss him. That is selfish.”
Li: “ And you’re just now seeing that? I’ve seen it since the beginning.”
B: “ Why don’t you shut up Lily.”
L: “ Ladies, please.”
Li: “ No! The little bitch wants to start something? Fine, lets see who would win!”
B: “ Fine lets take it outside!”
Li: “ Fine! Lets go!”
S: “ Lily, don’t push her. You know what a spoiled brat she is.”
B: “ That does it Lois. I’m out of here. I will not listen to this hood and his mob princess bad mouth me anymore!”
L: “ Bren, please come back.”
Brenda burst into tears as soon as she got outside of the gatehouse. Ned ran into her on the way in.
N: “ What’s wrong with Brenda? She is sobbing hysterically. (Sees Sonny.) Oh, I see now. What did you do to her Corinthos!”
S: “ I didn’t do anything to her Ashton! She was being a spoiled little brat, like she always is.”
L: “ Corinthos, you know that isn’t true. Lily started the whole thing.”
Li: “ I beg your pardon! I did no such thing. She was being mean to me.”
L: “ Only after you made that crack about her.”
Li: “ Well, she deserved it. She is nothing but a traitor!” L: “ You know what? I’m disgusted with the both of you! Get out of my house!”
Sonny and Lily leave. Sonny drops Lily off at her apartment and heads to the docks to do his thinking. He stops when he sees Brenda staring out at the water. He decides not to let her bother him so he walks down to where she is.
S: “ Beautiful day isn’t it?”
B: “ Oh, just lovely.”
S: “ Listen Brenda…”
B: “ No, I don’t want to hear anything that you have to tell me. You said everything this afternoon.”
S: “ Brenda, you’re a spoiled little brat but that still doesn’t change the fact that I love you.”
B: “ If you love me then why did you throw me out like I was a piece of meat?”
S: “ Brenda, you betrayed me. I can’t trust you. I can’t live without trust. If we don’t have trust, we have nothing.”
B: “ Well, I guess we have nothing then because I certainly can’t trust you and you have made it very clear that you don’t trust me.”
Brenda walked away, leaving Sonny alone with his thoughts.

Chapter 2

Brenda walked back to Kelly’s and headed upstairs to her room. She ran into Lily on the way up to her room.
Li: “ Well, well, well, if it isn’t miss I think I’m better than anybody else.”
B: “ Can it Lily, I’m not in the mood! I’m warning you!”
Li: “ You’re such a slut Brenda!” Brenda swung her arm forward and landed a right hook on Lily’s jaw. Lily flinched. Karen and Jagger, who are visiting Stone see the entire thing. Jagger pulls Lily away from Brenda and Karen holds back Brenda.
K: “ Brenda, don’t let her do this to you. She isn’t worth it.”
B: “ You’re telling me. I just want to say that had you of not showed up when you did I would have lost it.”
K: “ I know that you’re having a hard time with this breakup but you can’t keep assaulting his new girlfriend.”
B: “ Let me tell you something Karen, he doesn’t love her! He loves me!”
Li: (Tauntingly) “ You have that wrong, he used to love you! He loves me now!”
B: “ Oh please, it will be a cold day in hell before he loves you!”
Lily left and headed off to the school. Brenda went downstairs with Karen, while Jagger went to see Stone.
K: “ You know Brenda, you shouldn’t let Sonny and her get to you like that.”
B: “ I know Karen, but I can’t help it. It’s her fault that Sonny and I broke up.”
K: “ Brenda, you’re the one that wore that wire, not her.”
B: “ I know Karen, but she was the one that told him about it. I had changed my mind about doing it. I wasn’t going to turn it in to the cops. I had planned to never tell Sonny about it and she came along and screwed that up. She made Sonny hate me.”
K: “ I understand that you’re upset Brenda, but you have to move on.”
B: “ How the hell am I supposed to do that when I’m pregnant with his child?”
K: “ You’re pregnant with his child!”
B: “ Shh…I don’t want anybody to know. Sonny doesn’t even know.”
K: “ Brenda, you are going to have to tell him.”
B: “ No, I’m not. I’m getting out of this god- forsaken town and I’m going to start over. Sonny will never know about the baby.”
K: “ That is some dream world that you live in Brenda, you know that Sonny will find out. When he finds out he will be a hell of a lot angrier than he is now.”
B: “ I know Karen, but I don’t see what choice I have.”
K: “ Brenda, just please think before you act.”

Sonny’s apartment

Sonny is on the verge of packing and moving into Sean Donnely’s old penthouse. He had wanted a new place for a couple of reasons. The first reason is that there are too many painful memories for him here, meaning he had too many good times with Brenda and he couldn’t tolerate the memories since they aren’t together anymore. Sonny is interrupted by Stone.
St: “ Sonny, can I ask you a favor?”
S: “ Sure, what is it my man?”
St: “ I know that you don’t want to invite Brenda over for her housewarming party, but I would like for her to be there. I mean she is my friend.”
S: “ Of course, you can invite her. How about you go over to her place and invite her first thing in the morning?”
St: “ No, Sonny. You’re going to go over and invite her.”
S: “ Stone, I don’t know about that.”
St: “ Are you too afraid that you will give into your true feelings for her?”
S: “ I’m not afraid of anything.”
St: “ Prove it.”
S: “ Fine, I will go over and talk to Brenda.”
Sonny and left the room and Stone got a smile on his face. Those two would definitely get back together and he would make sure of it.

Chapter 3

Brenda is sitting on the floor of her bathroom fighting the urge to throw up. She could honestly say that she loves the idea of having a baby but hates the idea of morning sickness. A knock on the door brings her out of her deep thoughts. She goes to answer the door and is shocked to see Sonny.
B: “ What is it that you want?”
S: “ To talk to you. May I come in?”
B: “ Why not. I have to warn you that I’m not exactly feeling well right now so please make whatever it is brief.”
S: “ What I have to say won’t take too much time. I just want to say that you are invited to our housewarming party.”
B: “ Wonderful, I guess Miss priss is going to be there?”
S: “ If you’re referring to Lily you’re indeed correct.”
B: “ I would rather die than go to a party that she is invited to.”
S: “ Suit yourself. Stone wanted you to come though.”
B: “ I will come but only for Stone. And if you feel the need to make out with that boyfriend stealer than please take it somewhere else because I really don’t feel like dealing with that right now.”
S: “ If we want to make out, we’ll go upstairs to my bedroom.”
B: “ Do me a favor and please leave.”
Sonny leaves and smiles from the other side of the door. He now knew that the thought of him with another woman made her sick. Now she knew how he felt all of those times that she had let Miguel lean on her shoulder. Brenda sat on her bed and cried. She couldn’t believe the nerve of him to come in there and talk about making out with another woman, especially when that other woman was Lily Rivera. Brenda got on the phone and called Robin.
R: “ Hello?”
B: “ Robin, it’s me. I just want to let you know that I will be at that party and I’m not going to let Sonny and that little slut keep me away!”
R: “ That’s great Brenda. I’m glad that you have decided to do this. Stone is going to be so happy and I can’t tell you how happy I am.”
Brenda went shopping and bought a dress just for the occasion. Tonight she would make Sonny Corinthos want her. He wouldn’t think twice about going upstairs to make out with Lily.

Sonny’s Apartment

Stone is sitting on the couch when Sonny gets back.
St: “ Did you talk to her?”
S: “ I did talk to her but I can’t guarantee that she will be coming. We kind of got into another argument.”
St: “ Sonny, you need to stop picking fights with her. You two will never salvage anything if you keep that up.”
S: “ Stone, Brenda and I have nothing left. She betrayed me.”
St: “You keep saying that to yourself Sonny, maybe you will start to actually believe it.”
Stone walks into the kitchen to take his medication.

Brenda’s apartment

Brenda has arrived back home with her new dress. It is a short red formal dress that hangs inches above her knees and it shows off a lot of cleavage. Sonny was definitely going to want her.

Chapter 4

Brenda arrived at Sonny’s new penthouse at exactly six o’clock on the dot and went upstairs to talk to Stone. Sonny was in the kitchen getting everything ready when she arrived so he doesn’t know that she is there. She climbs the stairs and heads into Stone’s room. Stone is sitting on the bed with Robin. Stone smiles when he sees her.
St: “ Hey Brenda, you came?”
B: “ Of course I came. I wouldn’t have missed this for the world.”
St: “ I’m glad that you’re here. I know that it hurts to watch Sonny carry on with Lily.”
B: “ Yeah but tonight I’m gonna make Sonny want me again.”
St: “ Well, if anybody can do it, it is you.”
B: “ Yeah? What do you think of my outfit?”
St: “ I love it Brenda. You look beautiful.”
B: “ Thank you.”
St: “ And you look as sexy as hell.”
B: “ You’re so sweet Stone. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate everything that you have done for me.”
St: “ Sonny, told me that you two got into another argument today.”
B: “ Yeah, it was over Lily and him and how she makes me sick.”
St: “ Brenda, you have to give him time. You hurt him pretty badly when you wore that wire.”
B: “ I know that Stone. I was willing to make that up to him but he wouldn’t let me, he threw me out.”
St: “ Believe it or not Brenda, Sonny isn’t as angry with you over that wire.”
B: “ I don’t know about that Stone.”
St: “ I do Brenda, I have heard him cry himself to sleep at night. I have heard him say your name in his sleep.”
B: “ I cry myself to sleep every night as well.”
St: “ Brenda, I’m telling you Sonny isn’t going to be able to resist you tonight. You look absolutely incredible. You’re glowing. You have never looked so beautiful.”
B: “ Thank you so much Stone.”
Brenda gets ready to go downstairs when Stone stops her.
St: “ Wait, when you look like this, you deserve to be the center of attention.”
B: “ What are you saying.”
Everybody has arrived downstairs and Sonny is talking with Lily.
Stone: (Whistles to get everybody’s attention) “ Ladies and gentleman, I want to present to you the most gorgeous lady at this party. Everybody puts your hands together and welcome Brenda Barrett!”
Brenda descended down the stairs and noticed Sonny gazing into her eyes intensely. She could see how much he wanted her. His chocolate brown eyes showed the depth of desire that he held for her. He looked very hungry for her. She looked at Lily, who was standing beside him and saw that she was glaring at her. Brenda didn’t let her get to her as she walked down the stairs. When she got to the bottom of the stairs Miguel walked over to where she was standing and took her arm. Brenda smiled at him and saw Sonny glaring at Miguel. Miguel was making Sonny jealous again. She was glad that he is jealous because that shows that he still considers her to be his and doesn’t want another man touching her. Suddenly, Miguel pulls her into his arms and kisses her passionately. Brenda was taken by surprised and kissed back in order to make Sonny jealous. Sonny stormed over to where Miguel and her were and dragged her upstairs to his room. Brenda feigned a struggle but in reality she was thrilled to be having her ex lover dragging her upstairs to his bedroom in a rage of passion. When they got upstairs to his room and slammed the door. He walked over to her and grabbed her by her arm.
S: “ What the hell do you think you’re doing down there!”
B: “ Listen, Sonny, we aren’t together and you have no say in who I kiss.”
S: “ How could you do this Brenda?”
B: “ Me? What about you and Lily!”
S: “ Lily is different!”
B: “ How exactly is that? I know that you two are sleeping together so don’t even try and deny that!”
S: “ Lily and I are sleeping together but I don’t love her.”
B: “ Well, Miguel and I aren’t sleeping together as of yet but who knows, maybe tonight I will have sex with him!”
S: “ I can’t believe you Brenda!”
B: “ No, don’t even go there, it is you that I don’t understand. My loyalties were very obvious but you threw me out anyway! You know what? I’m through talking to you. I’m going back downstairs.”
S: “ The hell you’re!” He grabs her and pulls her to him.

Chapter 5

Brenda just stared at Sonny. She was completely at a loss for words. He had her pressed against his body and she could feel the maleness of him getting hard. Brenda began to feel several different emotions. She felt angry, excited, and very aroused all at once. She knows that Sonny feels the same way because his cheeks are flushed with sexual arousal. They just stare into each other’s eyes for a moment.
B: “ What do you mean, the hell I’m not?”
S: “ Just what I said, you’re mine and I will not allow you to go back down there with Miguel.”
B: “ You have no right to tell me what I can and cannot do?”
S: “ Oh, come off of it Brenda. You want me just as much as I want you. Your cheeks certainly are looking a little flushed.”
B: “ And yours aren’t?”
S: “ I’m not denying that they aren’t. I want you Brenda. I want you in the worst way.”
B: “ Well, then take me.”
Sonny takes her in his arms and kisses her with a bruising passion. Brenda feels her knees go weak as he slips his tongue into her warm moist mouth. The only thing keeping her up is Sonny’s strong embrace. Sonny slips her dress off and kisses her breasts. She moans with pleasure as he kisses the peaks of her breasts. She hadn’t ever known this kind of passion with a man before she had met Sonny. Jagger had never done the things that Sonny had to her, he never brought out these feelings in her. Brenda slipped off Sonny’s jacket and then she proceeded to unbutton his shirt. Finally his pants and boxers joined his jacket on the floor. Sonny took off Brenda’s stockings and proceeded to kiss her legs tenderly. Brenda kissed his chest and Sonny moaned. Brenda moaned with complete ecstasy when she felt Sonny gently enter her body. She arched her back so her body would meet his thrusts. He thrusted harder and harder taking them both to heights that they only knew with each other. After it was over they lay breathless in each other’s arms.
B: “ Wow, that was the best sex that we ever had.”
S: “ I agree. Now, do you see how you’re mine, and mine only?”
B: “ Yes, and you’re mine.”
S: “ That’s right sweetheart. Our Hearts beat only for each other.”
B: “ I love you Sonny.”
S: “ I know that you do, and you know what?”
B: “ What?”
S: “ I love you too.”
Brenda smiles and then meets his mouth in an explosive kiss.

Downstairs

Stone and Robin are sitting on the couch.
R: “ I wonder where Brenda disappeared to?”
St: “ I don’t know but I don’t see Sonny around either. I bet they’re together.”
R: “ Oh, I’m sure of that.”
St: “ Let’s cross our fingers that they’re together.”
Lily is talking to Mike, trying not to sound angry, but the truth of the matter is that she is angry that Sonny has deserted her. She bet that he was with Brenda the whore. Why couldn’t Brenda get her own man and leave hers alone? Sonny comes downstairs and sees Lily. He sees that she isn’t too happy and goes over to her to try and cheer her up. Brenda comes downstairs a couple of minutes later and finds Stone and Robin staring at her.
St: “ Well?”
B: “ Well, what?”
St: “ What happened between Sonny and you up there?”
B: “ We just talked Stone.”
St: “ Yeah right. You and Sonny never could keep your hands off of each other, especially not in a bedroom where there’s a bed around.”
B: “ Stone!”
St: “ You know it’s the truth Brenda.”
B: “ Yeah, we didn’t even need a bed.”
St: “ So you guys did do the deed upstairs.”
B: “ If you keep your voice down I will tell you. Yes, Sonny and I made love while we were up there.”
St: “ Brenda, this is wonderful.”
B: “ Stone, you have to promise that you won’t tell anybody.”
St: “ You have my word Brenda.”
Brenda gazed over at Sonny, trying to glare at him so that nobody would know what had happened between them. The only one that didn’t buy it was Lily.
