JR takes Bess to the hospital while Babe enjoys a night out with Jamie, Maggie and Bianca, to make Babe look like an unfit mother; JR drugs Babe so that she'll come onto Jamie, but Babe has a bad reaction to the drugs; Jamie and Reggie go after the dealer to try to get info out of him; Jamie realizes that JR drugged Babe, and confronts him; Jamie is arrested after Seth says that he bought the drugs, and JR plants false evidence; Brooke, Tad, Maggie, Reggie, and Dani work to prove Jamie's innocence; Jamie wears a wire and gets put in the same jail cell as Seth; Seth admits that JR set the whole thing up, and then stabs Jamie when he finds the wire; Jamie is taken to the hospital and undergoes surgery; Joe announces that Jamie will make a full recovery; JR promises an unconscious Jamie that he will get rid of Babe for good; Babe tells Jamie that she believes he didn't drug her.

Jamie leaves the hospital to find Babe; Babe and Bianca stage a lesbian affair to get JR to admit his true feelings for Babe; Jamie vows he will protect Babe from JR; JR kidnaps Bess, and Babe, Jamie, Tad, Krystal and David look for her; Tad, Krystal, and David find Bess at Oak Haven and bring her back to Babe; After seeing Bess with Bianca, Babe goes to the church to pray to her son, on the way home she ends up in Llanview and discovers her son is alive; Jamie bonds with Bess; Jamie is shocked and hurt when Babe announces she's going to stay married to JR; Babe goes back and forth to Llanview to see her son, and Jamie is on to her; Babe realizes that Jamie could be the father of her baby; A DNA test is conducted, and Jamie and Babe are disappointed to learn JR is the father; Babe tells Jamie she has to let him go; Jamie continues to try and find what Babe is hiding; JR blackmails Babe into signing away custody of Bess by threatening to send Jamie to prison; Jamie gets Paul Cramer drunk and realizes that Bess is Mirand; Justin and Alexa's appearence on Soaptalk.

Adam tells Tad he will destroy Jamie if he doesn't tell him where Colby is; Jamie steals $10,000 from Adam's safe; Brooke and Tad tell Jamie about the tape, and how Babe protected him; Babe tells Jamie that Bess is really Miranda and that her baby is alive; Jamie suggests they kidnap Ace; Aidan helps Jamie get fake IDs, Jamie and Babe use the names Brad and Kate Anderson; Jamie in Babe try to make everyone think they're in love; Tad and Stuart get the tapes from Adam; Aidan finds the guy in the tape; Brooke and Tad realize that Jamie is hiding something from them; Jamie tells Maggie he's leaving town; On the night of Kevin's reelection Jamie and Babe kidnap Ace; Babe's letters get delivered; Babe renames Ace James; Brooke reads Jamie's letter; Opal blames Krystal and Babe for ruining Jamie's life; Jamie and Babe almost get caught in North Carolina; Jamie and Babe learn that Bianca still doesn;t have her baby.

Babe tells Bianca to go to Florida with JR, and Bianca agrees; Jamie and Babe spend Thanksgiving together; Jamie and Babe take Baby James to Disneyworld; JR sees Babe at the benefit concert; Jamie keeps JR locked in a room while Babe tells Bianca the truth about Miranda; Kendall stops JR from beating Jamie to death with a pipe; Tad gives Babe and Jamie the name of a contact in New Orleans; Tad and Jamie say an emotional goodbye; Jamie tells Babe that Bianca is in a coma; Jamie, Babe and Baby James spend Christmas together; Babe and Jamie prepare to leave for Hope, Arkansas, but are tracked down by JR's PI; Liza saves them and hides them out at her apartment until Tad arrives; Tad makes arrangements for them to go to Argentina; Jamie proposes to Babe and she accepts; JR finds Jamie and Babe; Babe says goodbye to Baby James as Kevin Bucchanan takes him away; Jamie, Babe, and Tad are arrested and sent back to Pine Valley; David tells the Llanview DA that Jamie murdered Paul Cramer.
