| Graham started his professional career at the tender age of 9, appearing in numerous films and commercials for the Children's Film Foundation in England . He moved into music at the age of 16 and has remained there ever since, with casual moonlighting into the film and television industry. Graham is also a respected music journalist specialising in interviews and features on many international artists from the 1950's to the present day. He is a regular contributor to The Beat Magazine. Other music journals that Graham has contributed to include the Record Mirror, Goldmine, Then and Now and The History of Pop. ON THE ROAD AND ALL AT SEA Serving his musical 'apprenticeship' in Britain's clubland and the holiday/leisure and theatre circuits, Graham worked with many headlining acts and has extensively toured the UK and overseas. (See Photo Gallery) In recent years, Graham has successfully concentrated on his own cabaret act for cruise ships and hotels around the world. His vocal talent and ability to entertain has led to many successful seasons with the world renowned P&O Lines (since 1990) on their fleet of ships, the Canberra, Sea Princess, Victoria, Oriana and Aurora. Graham's first-ever cruise ship engagement was a 7 month stint with the then unknown Jane McDonald on Fred Olsen's Black Prince. Jane has since risen to fame via the BBC's "The Cruise" television programme in the UK. At sea Graham has also completed cabaret seasons for the Silverseas, Celebrity Cruises, NCL, Fred Olsen, Sun Cruises' and most recently, the exclusive "Seadream". Graham is also well travelled on land where he appears at many functions, hotels, golf clubs and cabaret lounges and charitable functions. Since 1996 he has appeared regularly on the Warners circuit in cabaret, Thomson Gold cabaret circuit overseas (3 seasons) a regular showstopper for City Cruises on board their London Showboat in London and a popular guest at London's Brick Lane Music Hall. His musical repertoire covers standards, swing, jazz, 50's, 60's pop, rock 'n' roll, show songs, novelty, comedy and melodic contemporary chart hits. Vocal impersonations of traditional favourites are also included in his act. All this interwoven with his very own unique presentation and you have (in the words of a review in the UK's "The Stage") Graham Hunter - "Sophistication with tongue firmly implanted in his cheek" |
