my friends
These are my friends. I have had a lot of experience in the friends department, and I have learned that they truly are a gift from God. These people have stuck by me through the good times and the bad and are always there for a laugh or a hug. Combined they probably know me better than me. I am really proud of all of them and I would recommend them to anyone else looking for a good friend. And, by the way, these are in no particular order.
Well, this is my mom. This is a picture of us right before our trip to Toronto. She is the sweetest, most tender-hearted person on this earth and I'm certain all of my good traits came from her. I can see myself turning into her already. I can only hope that I turn into the kind of woman that she is. I am not always the best daughter, or even friend to my mom, but I am really glad that she is around. We don't always agree and we don't always talk, but she's always there. I love her very much.
This is Kevin on the beach of one of the Great Lakes in Toronto. Him and his green hair. I feel like Kevin is the person I most identify with. Our attitudes about a lot of subjects are the same. He's a fun, easy-going guy that has never judged me or pressured me. He's really great.
This is Billy. He's in his backyard. I don't know why that matters. Anyway, what to say about Billy...It's hard to give a profile about the person you love and the person who, of all people, should hate you the most. He is one of the most intelligent people I know and one of the most loving. He, like most of my friends, I don't deserve. There is so much to say about Billy--I didn't even like Billy when I first met him. He helped me through one of the toughest times in my life and has seen a lot more of them since befriending me. Probably wishes he hasn't. I'm a handful. But I guess that's how I can tell my true friends. He's one of them.
This is Ben with a giant butterfly at Niagra Falls. He has been my conscience for the past like eight years or so. He's got his opinions, and his standards and I have to admire him for that. He's talented and a good listener. I haven't always treated him right either. I once threw a golf ball at his head, and actually if positioned slightly different it could have killed him. But that's neither here nor there...he's still a very loving friend to me. I am thankful for him.
This is Sara. How cute is she! This is her in her dorm room, and mauling some stranger in the middle of Hyvee (not really that's her friend Cindy). Sara is such a babe. She's like the closest friend I have at school. We have managed to have a class together every semester thus far. She really rocks. She's interesting and funny and one of those people you just crave being around.
This is Mike. He's really sweet. I must admit, a bit freaky on the outside, but he's got a good heart. He's a huge support for me. He also has a pretty logical thought process regarding my relationships. He's shy, yet daring. And, yes, that is a half-naked woman behind him (but it's not his picture). Mike is a sturdy friend that helps bail me out of all kinds of crap.
The tall, lanky guy here is Nile. He is one silly dude. He was my first love (although married nowadays), but now, I'm happy to say he's a very close friend. He's just one of those people everyone knows and everyone likes. I know him, I like him, and I love him. He's a colorful part of my life.
This is Becky. Our faces are pretty washed out, but that's her. She is by far, the greatest person I know. No offense to anyone else, but truly, she is the most good-natured, wholesome, loving, adorable, pretty, thankful, hard-working, angelic person on the whole planet. There's my plug for Miss Becky. I wish I were more like Becky. She is so humble, she wouldn't agree with most of that stuff, but I'm telling you, it is all true. She is just the most uplifting person you will ever meet. She is always there to cheer you when you're blue and give you the biggest hug (and I mean the biggest) you will ever receive. Becky is Wonderful. If you don't meet Becky, your life will not be complete. I know mine wouldn't be.
This is Debbie. This is the best picture I have of her. She doesn't like her picture taken. She is fun to work with, she's like my sister, my mom, and my friend all rolled into one. She's so kooky, and we're so much alike with our little quirks. We have a good time, and that is really what I think the root of a friend is. People who have a good time together. Debbie is just amazing. And ya woo, woo, woo!!!
This is Joey. I get daily hugs from Joey. He's a good listener and a sweet, innocent guy. He's just got that adorable little look to him. He is a sweetie. I can talk to Joey about anything, I don't know why, but I can. He doesn't always understand it all, but I can just laugh about it and go on.
