African SAFARI!
Ok, so that header is a little deceptive. Yes, we were in Africa, but a lot the classic safari type animals are either on the reserves because of poaching, or are nocturnal, and we were sleeping while they were wandering around. We actually slept with the light on a few nights to discourage nightly visitations from any curious critters.
We did see some intersting stuff though ....
A few crazy lookin' bugs, lots of random chickens and guinea fowl, BEAUTIFUL butterflies in the rainforest, and then all of these guys ....
This is a termite mound of some kind. They are also everywhere. The initial impulse is to want to knock it down, but they were rock hard.
These lizards were about a foot long, and they were EVERYWHERE. Great bright colors of blue and orange, veeeeery fun to chase after.
CROCODILE! We only saw a few of these. We didn't hang around a whole lot of water ...
There was an ongoing debate between something being a sheep or something being a goat. Again, they were both really common, running around stray. The little baby goats were actually kinda cute.
Random leaping mammal and foul being sold on the side of the road.
These monkies were mean!
I figured I would conclude this tour of Ghanain wildlife with a large heard of bovine.
