The Churches |
|
Our first Sunday in country we had the opportunity to break up as a team and travel to four different churches and minister to their congregations. |

I was with Pastor Mike and Gayon. It was actually my first time speaking through a translator on a missions trip. Gayon and I brought words of encouragement, and Pastor Mike preached. Many of the churches meet under structures like this. |

Some very cool moments: |

This is in Kumasi, one of the largest cities in Ghana. We were swarmed from the moment we got out of the van. Every minute more and more It was crazy. They were so excited to here whatever we were going to say to them .... |

This brought a smile to my face. We were at the market looking around, when we asked Sammy if we could evangelize in anyway. Pastor Godwin informed us that there was actually a "church" down the road waiting for us to come. The congregation was actually just meeting in the shade under a few trees, but had been dancing and praising God as they waiting for us to get there. One of the neatest suprises I've ever had. |

I don't know why I had such a good time talking to these ladies. It was before our big service that night. We didn't speak the same language, nothing phenomenal was being communicated. They were showing me their children, giggling as I admitted to them through my face I didn't know what they were saying. But it was so joyful just being with them.It made me want to stay and really give myself for them. I didn't realize this picture was being taken, but I'm glad it was. |
