| It is hard to describe in words everything that I experienced on this trip. That's why I've attempted to do so much of it through pictures. But there is some I can say. Being exposed to so much will change a person ... learning the balance between having to stick up for yourself in customs line once again, and having to relying on other members of your team for strength and support. Seeing people living in such extreme poverty, but also living the hospitality and joy. Knowing that the continent you are standing on has been totally ravaged by diseases such as the AIDS virus. | |||||||||||||||||||||

| But more than that, I was changed by seeing Jesus effect the lives of the people there. Jesus will change our lives if we let him. He not only came to rescue us from the sin that seperates us from God, but he wants to heal our bodies, he wants to give us purpose in a world that doesn't always make sense, and he wants to be close to us. He is speaking to us at all times through his Word (the bible), through other people, and through his Spirit, or what the bible describes as a "still small voice". Satan is real, and he wants death, but God will give us freedom.This is what I saw in Ghana, and this is what I never want to let go. The need is so great. People will listen if we will only have the guts to go. | |||||||||||||||||||||

| As I return back to Gainesville I have some choices to make ... how fast do I finish school? How soon do I go back out? What work is there to be done in my own city? I'm not sure exactly what direction I'm headed in next, but I do know that my life is belongs to God, and that I was made to live for him. He's proven to me that if I am called to go, that he'll provide for me and support me in everyway - he's given me amazing spiritual leadership, a wonderful and supportive family, people who have provided finances, suspension of motions sickness over days of travel. My God is big time all the way. | |||||||||||||||||||||
