Nesi came home after weaning at 6 months old, I had spent alot of time at the stud with her so could do most things with her.
I showed Nesi as a yearling where she colected many rosettes. She was not shown as a 2 year old due to Foot and Mouth. As a 3 year old she came 2nd at Royal Cornwall. she won many classes and championships.
I broke Nesi to ride when she was 3 and half years old. I did all the ground work at home I took her down to Sue's yard for 2 weeks just for some help when it came to backing her and hacking her out on to quiet roads unlike leaving our own fields. She was really willing to learn and please we did have a few tamtrums but we started having weekly lessons, which helped us both. Her first show season under saddle we took it slowly and collected a few rosettes along the way. At her first show of 2004 she won the ridden Mountain and Moorland class at the indoor SWEP show at Duchy College then won the championship. She also started jumping that season (not with me though!) proving to have the Connemara passion for jumping.
In 2005 I decided to put her in foal I decided to send her to SHIPTON TEASEL a 13.1hh, dun, Connemara. She was away most of the summer but came back not in foal. Last year I sent her back to Teasel and after being there for 3 months she was scanned in foal. She is due on the 18th May.
