H.R.H. The Countess of Wessex
Last year, the oldest regiment in Canada, the Lincoln and Welland Regiment - a regiment with a history spanning over 200 years in the Niagara region - was honoured with a new Colonel-in-Chief, HRH The Countess of Wessex, the wife of HRH The Earl of Wessex and Viscount Severn, son of Her Majesty the Queen and formerly Prince Edward.  She visited her new regiment on the 5th of June, 2005 in St. Catharines.  Members of the Guelph-Grand River Branch were present at this event.
