STRAW MOSAIC
-It is very important the coloration of the straw because it must be
colored in all the gamut of the shades and colors. We put the design to the prepared
surface, then we color all the straw.
EXPLANATIONS ON THE WORK
-According to the gamut of the table, we color the straw. As the straw is round it is
spliced in two to be turned in the plane , so it must be worked with different tools and
knifes as a triangle, circle, rhombi, square and the linear lines of different measures
and thickness .
THE MATERIAL THAT WILL BE USED
-The material used is natural . It is used the rye straw which after is dried , is
cut and conserved in little brunches in warm environments and without humidity.
After it is dry well it is painted with colors according the different tones and the
colors. After they are painted and dried they are conserved in the environments as above
mentioned.
- The straw that is used in this art have to be chosen very well because not all the straw
are good to be worked. The straw is chosen and selected by the author. The blade of straw
must be about 30-35 cm long.
- The design is putted on a flat rigid surface where it is painted with the
respective glue and after that begins the filling.
THE DURATION OF THE WORK
-The duration of the work depends on the dimension of the picture that is ordered to be
made for the dimensions of the cut of the pieces of the straw to fulfill all the picture.
We must remember that a cut piece is 1mm 0,5mm and to fulfill the picture is needs at
least 40.000-50.000 small pieces from 1mm. So for its completion it needs a period of
500-600 work hours .

THE
REPARATION
-If that this picture in this genre and it is damaged we undertake its reparation
and if it is also damaged partially we undertake its reparation.
THE ENVIRONMENTS
-The environments where the works will be conserved must have a normal
temperature
It should not be conserved in a humid and very hot environments.
THE EXPOSITION
-Do not let the picture in direct sun light and in environments with the strong sun light
.
-The picture should not be cleaned and sprinkled with water or other detergents because it
can be damaged . It is necessary that the picture have a glass.
THE GLASSES
-It is used a special glass anti-reflection that protects it from the strong sun light and
also thedust and the nagging.
