Below is the tomb stone in the Netherlands of the third child of Otto and Lysje, namely Arie Schaap; also Arie's oldest son's tomb stone.
On the following page is the birth record of Arie Schaap. The translation is as follows: "On 1817, Oct 18 appeared before me, Heine Molendijk, registrar, of the villeage Dubbeldam, Wictdrecht and the Myl, Otto Schaap25 farmer, living Wictdrecht who declared unto us that his wife, Lysja de Jong, had delivered a male child on Oct 17 at 4:30 A.M. whose name is Ary. Said declaration took place in the presence of Teunis vander Graaf, 22 , laborer, living in Dubbeldam and Cornelis van Leeuwen, 26, plumber, living in Dordrecht. They have signed this document after the declaration and reading.
