Leszek Emil Gesiorski - painter of Angels

I am a Polish painter and graphic artist, graduated in 1980 from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. For many years I have been a member of the Polish Visual Artists' Association (ZPAP), the largest organisation of Polish professional artists.

Graphics was the starting point of my artictic development. Linoleum was my favourite medium but I have also experimented with metal techniques such as aquatint and etching.

Thanks to my friendship with Stefan Rzepecki, Polish watercolourist and illustrator, I became interested in the art of watercolour. Having achieved a sort of easiness in it, I gradually started to introduce my favourte graphic themes into painting.

My paintings and graphics are all inspired by nature and harmony. I paint nostalgic and erotic landscapes, women-angels, Polish willows and other trees.

I use landsape to show the beauty of female body as well as use the beauty of human body to show landscape.

My linoleum engravings (a modernised version of wood engravings) and watercolours are in private collections all over the world.

The most important theme of my works , being the message for the mankind is the motif of the apocalypse.
