2001 Mercedes Benz S63 AMG
6.3lt 444hp V12
The Mercedes Benz S63 AMG was launched in 2001. The large 6.3lt V12 engine is based on the engine found in the SL600 but AMG has added 400cc to the displacement which resulted in a power increase of 77 bhp to 444 bhp. As always with AMG an automatic gearbox is used to guide the enormous torque to the rear wheels 'sensibly'.
