About Me...
Unlike many handlers who started exhibiting in Junior Handling - I started showing dogs at the ripe old age of 26. I started as an owner/exhibitor (in Winnipeg, Manitoba) then had the opportunity to apprentice with the late Martha Covington-Thorne (in Kingston, Ontario).
I
graduated from being a
'lacky' to an 'assistant handler' in three
After moving back to Winnipeg in 1980, I began to work as a professional handler and have never looked back. I have handled many breeds, from St. Bernard's to Chihuahuas. The picture display on this page gives you an idea of my success.
Through the course of the years I've probably taught over a thousand handling classes but now only do one and two day (total immersion) handling seminars.
I am also very proud of the "Handling Manual" which started off as a simple course outline and is now owned by many a novice exhibitors and used by other conformation teachers as their guideline. It covers everything you ever wanted to know about handling but were afraid to ask!
