The Unusual 2NT opening
When 2NT is a spare bid, this opening is often used. Most play it at least with 5-5 distribution, although
more daring players try it on 5-4.

Responses are simple, as there is few space:

shows a stopper for 3NT (opener should bid 3NT with other stopper)
3NT is to play
Opener, if strong, will bid his short major after a negative response.
