Puppet Stayman alternative
A useful tool to find 5-3 and 4-4 fits in 
and 
after a strong 2NT opening bid is Puppet Stayman. The variant presented here also copes better with minor-oriented hands.

After 3, responder bids the major he doesn't have, and 4 with both and no slam interest, and 4 with both and slam interest.
After 3, 3NT is to play and 3 is minor suit ask.
