BREED STANDARD OF THE BOXER
APPEREANCE:
The Boxer is a medium sized dog,sqaure build and strong bone.The muscles are strongly developed and lean.The Boxer must appear neither clumsy or heavy.His movement is lively,full of strenght and nobility.

SIZE:
Males:57-63 cms  weight over 30 kgs
Bitches:53-59 cms  weight approximtely 25 kgs

HEAD:
The head must be in good proportion to the body.The muzzle should be as broad and powerful as possible.The forehead forms a distinct stop with the topline of the muzzle.
The nose is broad,black,slightly turned up,with wide nostrils.The eyes are dark and their expression conveys intelligence and energy.
The ears are set on high.Not too wide at set-on,lying close to the cheeks in repose.And falling forward with definitve crease when alert.
The Boxer  is undershot.

BODY:
The back is short,straight,broad and well muscled.The chest is deep,reaching to elbows.The shoulders are long and sloping,well attached to the body.The hindquarters of the Boxer is very muscular and the forelegs are straight,parralel to each other when seen from the front.
The set-on of the tail is high,docked short and carried upward.

COAT AND COLOUR:
The colour is fawn or brindle.Fawn colour occurs in varying shades,from pale fawn to dark deer-red.With black mask.The brindle variety in the above mentioned shades of fawn has dark or black stripes.The basic colour and stripes must clearly contrast.White marks need not be completely rejected,they can be quite appealing.
The hair is short,hard,glossy and close fitting.
