ENGINEERING PROJECT MANAGER

Additionally, lead proposal development activities for major projects and personally manage selected projects for major clients.Excellent oral and written communication skills have been demonstrated through development of seminar materials and leadership of all training seminars for both TQM and PM development programs. Routinely responsible for commitment of the firm's resources, preparation of contracts, fee negotiation, allocating manpower and personal follow-up with each client.
Served as Principal-in-Charge for a diverse group of multi-disciplined architectural/engineering projects including numerous Port facilities (wharf, warehousing, utilities, etc.), transportation projects, shopping centers, school renovations, residential developments, and related civil engineering activities including water, sewer, paving, grading, and drainage improvements.
ENGINEERING DIRECTOR
As head of the division, directed and supervised the three division branches: (1)Engineering, (2) Contracts, and (3) Engineering Services and Planning. Responsibilities were diverse and varied, but included professional engineering consultation services, preparation and review of plans and specifications, preparation of short and long term, and full management responsibility for facility maintenance service contracts.
PROJECT MANAGER
Responsible for all aspects of project management from initial project planning and design through final construction. Responsibilities included coordination of internal departments, design reviews, review/approval of construction change orders, selection of architect/engineer, and negotiation of design contracts. Extensive practical negotiation and management experience was gained in this position through personal involvement with over 100 projects of varying size and complexity.
STRUCTURAL ENGINEER
Responsible for Jean-Marie Marquis et Associées structural engineering design department. Typical assignments included foundation design, steel, concrete and timber structures, and engineering studies. Reviewed engineering drawings submitted by A/E firms.
PLANNER

Identifying the Time-Dependent Features of Freeway Traffic:
Researcher working under Professor Jean Granger identifying the details of
freeway traffic dynamics by empirically evaluating how traffic
disturbances propagate in time and space. By advancing current knowledge
of freeway operation, findings will enhance methods presently used for
assessing freeway capacity and service quality.
