DETAILS:
What: Outdoor Grass Volleyball
Where: Meridian Park, Wallingford area at 50th & Meridian Street
When: 6pm until dusk
Parking: Parking is free. Look for an open spot along Meridian or one of its side streets.
GENERAL IDEA: Come 6pm Friday evening we all gather at the park for a few hours of outdoor volleyball, and then after it's too dark to see the ball anymore we migrate over to one of the neighboring pubs for eats, drinks and a little socializing fun. Yeeeehaw!
LEVEL OF PLAY: Even though each week can vary with who actually shows up, our average level of play still hovers around a "B"--meaning we know the fundamental rules of playing volleyball. Remember given this function is based on voluntary participation honoring good sportsmanship and having fun is still our primary goal--with playing competitive and exhilarating games coming in at a close second. In a nutshell play smart, safe & have fun. Thank you.
WHAT TO BRING:
**An extra volleyball net is always appreciated.
**Water, snacks, suntan lotion, bug spray.
**Outdoor shoes that provide good support on a uneven and sometimes slippery grassy field.
