�You did the correct thing son. By coming with me you have insured that you can gain full control over your powers.� Wantene was amazed that his father could read his mind. They did not speak again until they reached the grounds. �Here is where you will be trained in the art of Shendo. Shendo is a sub branch of Trianchu that is purely elemental in its nature of attacks and weapons. Let me see that sword Wantene,� his dad said, carefully inspecting the sword. �Hmm, a marvelous specimen, an Elemental Shigathian blade. Yet it is a useless piece of junk for this style of fighting.� He threw the sword into the river.
�What are you doing?!� Wantene exclaimed.
�The sword is useless when using Shendo,� Lelono said sternly.
�I know I know, but it is worth a lot of money, we could sell it,� Wantene shouted. As Wantene finished saying this, he heard a splash. His father had dove into the river after the sword. He immerged ten minutes later, covered in seaweed and piranhas, to see Wantene laughing so hard that he fell over backwards.
Later that day they went into town and sold the sword for ten thousand kintaries, which was considered a small fortune. They bought some food, water, and supplies. When they got back to Lelono�s cabin, Lelono outlined what exactly he would be teaching Wantene and gave him a target schedule:
Week One: Gain twenty percent more power and learn all level one Shendo attacks.
Week Two: Gain thirty percent more power and learn all level two Shendo attacks.
Week Three: Work on Shendo level three attacks and learn the Shastin style.
Week Four: Gain sixty percent more power and learn final Shendo attacks and work on level one and two Shastin attacks.
Week Five: Work on level three, four, and five Shastin attacks, master the Shendo style and master all level one and two Shastin attacks.
Week Six to Ten: Gain one hundred percent more power and master the branch styles Shastin, Shendo levels two through six, and the Shigathian elemental style. Bring out some latent powers and use them to greatly alter the elements. Final test over all aspects from the last five weeks.
�As you can see, it is rather rigorous, but you should have no problem in completing it,� Lelono told Wantene. They began training immediately and Wantene was gaining power fairly quick. By his sixth week he was ready to master Shendo and the Shastin style, as well as the Shigathian elemental blade style. By the last day on the schedule, Wantene had increased his overall power by five hundred and ninety percent; well over what his father intended, and he had mastered all of the branch styles including Shendo, Shastin, SEBS (Shigathian Elemental Blade Style), Kelosg, and the particularly hard style of Othnosgilth. Lelono did not intend for Wantene to learn so much, but it was out if his hands. Wantene had requested to learn them so he could not disagree. Lelono thought that the time was ripe and bought a troll off the black market.
�Alright Wantene, you have grown extremely fast so you might not be able to control your powers just yet, but I have a solution. This here is a troll, I want you to train on it for a few weeks,� Lelono instructed Wantene who turned and walked inside saying,
�I won�t fight it.� In the end his dad forced him too. The first training session was going well until Wantene slipped on a wet stone. The troll pounced on him, crushing him underneath its considerable weight. Lelono ran over and killed the troll with a quick stab to its head. He pushed it off of his sons� now mangled and lifeless body. One look and Lelono was on his knees. After he got over the shock he dug a grave and buried his son.
