| By now Wantene had figured out that he was in a different dimension and that a dimensional rift would allow him to re-enter his own. He had already collected a great deal of power, around five hundred million, and was now prepared for the ordeal. There would be a great deal of pain involved because opening dimensional rifts had a tendency to actually injure the person going through them, but since Wantene knew White Trianchu he would be fine. He then proceeded. He opened the rift and flew through it unknowingly causing causality to take effect in his realm.
The Duran was sailing with all her might to the spot that Rouin had sensed the disturbance when a whirlpool formed there, but it didnt act like one. Instead, it was pulling Rouin into it. As he slid along the deck, he knocked over several of the crew as well as Xilot, who shouted, WHAT IN THE NAME OF BLOODY CATFISH IS GOING ON HERE?! As if Wantene had heard the question, which he probably did since Xilot had an unnaturally loud voice, he answered, Oh, sorry about that, heh. I forgot that to shift dimensions you have to give something of equal trade, but it worked out well enough; Im back and you didnt have to give anything up. Hmm! You! Wantene shouted at Rouin who jumped from surprise, I have been dreaming about you but not that kind of dreaming. More like visions actually, but still. Who are you and where do you come from? II am Rouin, one of your brothers. I, of course, come from Sykoto, but what of you? I thought Triasha killed you long ago? Rouin said, a quizzical look on his flustered face. Wantene told him all about his experiences in the other dimension and how he escaped, Xilot listened in too for the idea of another stowaway angered him, at least until he learned that Wantene could also use Trianchu. By the time Rouin and Xilot were finished asking Wantene questions it was nightfall. Xilot ordered the hauling in of the sails for the night and that dinner be made ready. It was a hearty meal, even for pirates. Plates of calamari, clams, fish, manta ray, and shark covered the already bowing table. Then there was the wine, pirate loved their wine and it was plentiful on the Duran. Hundreds of flasks of Damson wine must have passed by Rouin. On top of that, they had all the normal pirate drinks; seaweed ale, seaweed grog, fire whisky, the sourest red wine that Wantene had ever tasted called Red moon, and they had some very strong wines as well. Xilot was known for his plundering of wineries but this special wine he made himself for special occasions only. It was a combination of Red moon and two different types of fire whisky, a little bit of the good ol moonshine, as Xilot put it while he was making the concoction, and he topped it off with a little pure Damson wine. It ended up all going into the captains mouth because the crew couldnt stomach it, or even get near it in fact; the smell of it was enough to lay you flat for a few hours. Wantene bravely drank a few glasses and said that the crew must be deft in the head to hate the drink, and then he got hit by the full force of it. He passed out for half a day from just two glasses and the captain had drunken five times that plus all of the other wine and he didnt even fall asleep. The morning after next, Wantene woke up and walked out on to the deck holding a hand to his head. Whas the matter Wantene, got a wee hang over do we, heh heh, Xilot said, chuckling heartily. Well Mister Bottomless Stomach, youre made of stouter stuff then I. A whole ten glasses of that stuff and then two barrels of Damson wine after that, not to mention the seven glasses of fire whisky, and you didnt even pass out for a second. That is abnormal. I have never seen a man drink that much at once, well, save for my Grandfather, but he died drinking, Wantene shot back at Xilot. Xilot was about to shout something back when Rouin staved the argument and said, Stop it the both of you. Youre both much too drunk to act civilly. So Ill be taking semi-command of this ship. Captain Xilot will still be keeping the log tough. Were heading for Solomon Island. Wantene and I want to find Kynoto. Something strange is happening and that Island is where he is training. Now, prepare to shove off! |
