| It is also important that we understand what Technology Integration really is. Explore this link and formulate your own opinion of what technology integration is or should be. At the top of this linked page, click on "What" and "How." Under "What," also click each of the slides in the presentation on the left (see Photo.) Under "How," visit the "Self-Assesment Survey," take the survey (optional) online and analyze the results. Then at the same site, click on the "Resources" circle. Here, view the PowerPoint presentation.(You do not have to do the Activities presented in the Power Point, just view the slides.)Then scroll down,it is optional to visit at least three of the links listed there. (There is no "extra credit" for visiting and analyzing the "optional" assignments. These are listed for your further enrichment, now, or when you have time in the future.) |

| In this mod we will explore a myriad of different types of sights to open our minds to what is out there. In subsequent mods we will concentrate on themes of sites.(See assignment box, you need only visit three of the following sites.) Visit Puzzlemaker and construct your own crossword puzzle or word search. What used to take us hours now takes minutes. Try Virtual Dissection of a frog. Take a Virtual Tour of Paris. Listen to Pavarotti. Scroll down and click on "The Pavarotti Edition, 1964." Watch a 3-D animation of a calculus concept scroll down to the second picture and click on "Press this to see animation again."Try a basic WebQuest. What is a WebQuest? This will be covered in a later mod. For now, it's a treasure hunt on the Internet. Do this WebQuest and e-mail your answers to me in your assignment. |

Also, review briefly 3 of the Surfing sites that you have visited,(one must be the "WebQuest" link,) , include this in your e-mail. . In order to remember your favorite links, hit favorites at the top of your page, or right click on each link, then a pop-up box will appear, on this box ,left click on Properties, a box will then come up with the URL (Universal Resource Locator) or Address of the link and you can save it or write it on your printout! |
