Never give out your password to anyone, not even your best friend! your parents should always decide whether or not you really need to give it out.
Never tell anyone your name, your address, your telephone number or any other personal information about yourself unless you have permission from your parents first. You never know who you're talking to for real, even if you think you do.
Never agree to meet an online friend without permission from a parent. If you get permisssion your parent should come with you and you should meet in a public area.
Never respond to someone who is sending you threatening messages. Tell your parents and let them deal with it. Responding to them just makes them do it even more. You can report harassment at your internet service provider.
Never send a picture of yourself to anyone without checking with your parents first to see if it's ok. |
