| Georgi Shashiashvili is the current captain of Dinamo Tbilisi despite being only 24 years old. Shashiashvili plays in the centre of the Dinamo Tbilisi defence along with Otar Khizaneishvili and Alexander Amisulashvili. The trio are recognised as the the best defence in the Georgian League. Shashiashvili was linked with a move to Hamburg during the 2001-2002 season however nothing came of it and he stayed at Dinamo Tbilisi. Shashiashvili has recently fallen down the pecking order for the National Team behind Kaladze, Khizaneishvili, Khizanishvili and Kemoklidze. |
