Dinamo Tbilisi 2-1 BATE Borisov

An Artem Goncharuk goal with two minutes to go could have swung the tie in BATE Borisov's direction after Dinamo Tbilisi appeared to be cruising into the next round of the Uefa Cup. The Georgians will be kicking themselves after dominating the whole game. They seemed to have settled the tie when striker Akai Mikuchadze gave the scoreline a semblance of reality with their second goal in the 87th minute. However, Dinamo relaxed and substitute Artem Goncharuk hit back almost immediately for the Belorussian side, steering the ball home from five yards. Earlier, inspired by Vitali Daraselia in midfield, Dinamo had dominated the first-half with the new signing from FC CSCA Kyiv almost scoring in the first minute. He wasn't to be long denied though, a weaving run in the 22rd minute taking him into the Bate box where he was brought down. Daraselia himself took the penalty and scored with ease to give Dinamo the lead. The second-half also saw the home side in complete control but they found Bate goalkeeper Aliaksandr Fedarovich in fine form.
