BATE Borisov overcame a first leg deficit to eliminate Georgian side FC Dinamo Tbilisi after a thrilling 4-0 victory at the City Ground.
BATE Borisov were in the ascendancy after scoring a late away goal in the first leg, which Dinamo won 2-1.
And they started brightly in the sold-out City Ground, pressing forward against a diffident Dinamo.
Dinamo keeper Soso Grishikashvili made several saves before BATE midfielder Alexander Lisovski pounced on a mistake in the Dinamo back four in the 22nd minute and scored.
Two minutes later and Dinamo's UEFA Cup assault lay in tatters. Belgian referee Johnny ver Eeke sent off international midfielder Vladimer Burduli and reduced the Georgians to ten men.
Without the influential Burduli, the team from Tbilisi struggled.
BATE poured forward and the match was decided on 43 minutes when Grishikashvili was sent off and BATE awarded a penalty.
Top scorer Vitali Kutusau stepped up confidently and sent the keeper to the wrong corner.
Yauhenj Lashankou scored a third three minutes into the second half and Dinamo had to thank their young reserve keeper, Zurab Batiashvili, that the floodgates didn't open.
BATE made it 4-0 in the final minute as a strike from Viacheslav Grigoriev secured their passage into the first round of the UEFA Cup.
