The Girl's Gone Wild

Callin' all girlfriends
Spring break weekend
Meetin' at the Texaco
Wine coolers, six-packs
Cigarettes and Tic-Tacs
Fill it up an' hit the road
Passin' round the Cosmo
Wearin' out the cell phone
'Make it to the beach by ten'
Flip-flops an' lip gloss
Bikini tops and cut-offs
Baby, let the games begin

The girl's gone wild
Reality TV style
Just a miles an' miles
Of those girls gone wild
Breakin' hearts
Usin' daddy's credit card
Momma hollers, 'Stop that child'
Don't you know the girl's gone wild

They're lookin' real pretty
Down in Panama City
They're dancin' down in New Orleans
Cancun, Cozumel
Gettin' down and raisin' hell
Livin' every bad boy's dream
Viva Las Vegas
Gettin' outrageous
Cruisin' down the LA strip
They're loaded in a limo
Hangin' out the window
Let's wind it up and let it rip

The girl's gone wild
Reality TV style
Just a miles an' miles
Of those girls gone wild
Breakin' hearts
Usin' daddy's credit card
Momma hollers, 'Stop that child'
Don't you know the girl's gone wild
Girls, girls, girls gone wild
(Girls, girls, girls gone wild)
Girls, girls, girls gone wild

Sally, Sue and Tam'ra
Smilin' for the camera
Darla met a doctor from LSU
Ally, Ann and Amy
Went a little crazy
Ridin' home sittin' on a new tattoo

The girl's gone wild
Reality TV style
Just a miles an' miles
Of those girls gone wild
Breakin' hearts
Usin' daddy's credit card
Momma hollers, 'Stop that child'
Don't you know the girl's gone wild
Girls, girls, girls gone wild
(Girls, girls, girls gone wild)
Girls, girls, girls gone wild

Bible Belt
Written by - Travis Tritt
From - My Cousin Vinny (Soundtrack)

Well, he was a New York attorney
That would take a southern journey
Into places that he'd never been
She was a brunette out of Brooklyn
Fast talkin' and good lookin'
With a body that was made for sin

And she wanted him for marriage
Cause the torch that she carried
Was hotter than the fires of hell
But he said he didn't need her
So she followed him down deep
Into the buckle of the Bible belt

She begged and she pleaded
And she told him what she needed
Was a little tender lovin' care
But he was wrapped up in his work
And actin' like a jerk
By pretendin' that she wasn't there

But her heart was love stricken
So she never thought of quittin'
When givin' up on how she felt
She had plans to seduce him
If she could she would loosen
The notch in the Bible belt

There's a lot of good people
Who are led astray
That believe true love is dead
But, I'll tell ya somethin' brother
When you're dealin' with your feelings
It's tough to keep a level head
And it's hard to imagine
How the flames of passion
Will burn till your soul will melt
And it'll spread like a cancer
Till you're gonna have to answer
To your heart in the Bible belt

Yeah, yeah...
Yeah

Oh...

Whoo...hoo...hoo

Well, no matter who you are
If you're a peasant or a star
There's a need for love in every man
And he found it pretty soon
Underneath the southern moon
When she finally made him understand

And every man's got his pride
And he'll try to run and hide
From emotion that is hard to tell
So he gave her love a chance
That's when he found romance
In the heart of the Bible belt...

Yeah...
There's a lot of good people
Who are led astray
That believe true love is dead
But I'll tell ya somethin' brother
When you're dealin' with your feelings
It's tough to keep a level head
And it's hard to imagine
How the flames of passion
Will burn till your soul will melt
And it'll spread like a cancer
But you're gonna have to answer
To your heart in the Bible belt...

They better get their heads together
Or they're gonna slap leather
With their hearts in the Bible belt...

Yeah, Lord

Yeah, yeah...

Amen, brother

Here's Your Sign (Get the Picture)
With - Bill Engvall
Written by - Bill Engvall

I just hate stupid people
They should have to wear signs that just say I'm stupid
That way you wouldn't rely on them, would you?
You wouldn't ask them anything
It would be like, 'Excuse me...oops, never mind
I didn't see your sign'

It's like before my wife and I moved from Texas to California
our house was full of boxes and there was a U-Haul truck in our driveway
My friend comes over and says, 'Hey, You moving?'

'Nope
We just pack our stuff up once or twice a week
Just to see how many boxes it takes
Here's your sign'

Why can't they get the picture?
Why don't they understand?
We're not dealing with the planet of apes
We're talking about the modern man
So you people with them itsy bitsy teensie weensie tiny minds...
Here's your sign
Here's your sign

A couple of months ago I went fishing with a buddy of mine
We pulled his boat into the dock
I lifted up this big 'ol stringer of bass
This idiot on the dock goes, 'Hey, y'all catch all them fish?'

'Nope
Talked 'em into giving up
Here's your sign'

I was out in the front yard with my boy the other day
and he was playing with his little friend
And he hit his friend and I went up to him and I said
'Hey (Smacking noise), we don't hit'
He looked up at me like, 'Here's your sign, dad'

Why can't they get the picture?
Why don't they understand?
We're not dealing with the planet of apes
We're talking about the modern man
So you people with them itsy bitsy teensie weensie tiny minds...
Here's your sign
Here's your sign

I was watching one of those animal shows on the Discovery Channel
There was a guy inventing a shark bite suit
There's only one way to test that
'Alright Jimmy, you got that shark suit on
It looks good...
They want you to jump into this pool of sharks
And you tell us if it hurts when they bite you'

'Well all right...
Hold my sign, I don't wanna lose it'

Why can't they get the picture?
Why don't they understand?
We're not dealing with the planet of apes
We're talking about the modern man
So you people with them itsy bitsy teensie weensie tiny minds...
Here's your sign
Here's your sign

Last time I was home I was driving around I had a flat tire
I pulled my truck into one of these 'side of the road' gas stations
The attendant walks out, looks at my truck, looks at me
I swear to God he went, 'Tire go flat?'

I couldn't resist
I said, 'Nope
No I was driving around and those other three just swelled right up on me'
Here's your sign'

Why can't they get the picture?
Why don't they understand?
We're not dealing with the planet of apes
We're talking about the modern man
So you people with them itsy bitsy teensie weensie tiny minds...
People with them little bitty teenie weenie tiny minds...
Here's your sign

We were trying to sell our car about a year ago
A guy come over to the house, drove the car around for about 45 minutes
We get back to the house, he gets out of the car
Reaches down and grabs the exhaust pipe, then goes, 'Damn thats hot!'

See...
If he'd been wearing his sign, I could have stopped him

Move It On Over
With - George Thorogood
From - King Of the Hill (Soundtrack)

Came in last night about half past ten
Woman of mine wouldn't let me in
Said move it on over
Rock it on over
Move over little dog
'Cause the big ol' dog's movin' in

She told me not to mess around
I done let the deal go down
Move it on over
Slide it on over
Move over nice dog
'Cause the mean ol' dog's movin' in

She changed the locks on my back door
Now my key don't fit no more
Move it on over
Yeah, ease it on over
Move over skinny dog
'Cause the fat dog's movin' in

Lonesome George

She can crawl back to me beggin' on her knees
Travis sittin' home just a scratchin' fleas
Move it on over
Scoot it on over
Move over old dog
'Cause the new dog's movin' in

Whoa

Ah...yeah
Hey
Ha ha ha

Well, listen to me dog before you start to whine
That side's yours and this side's mine
Move it on over
Rock it on over
Move over little dog
'Cause the big ol' dog's movin' in

Oh...yeah

Well, a dog's house here is kinda small
It's better than no house at all
Move it on over
Said slide it on over
Move over nice dog
'Cause the mean ol' dog's movin' in

Yeah, move it on over Move it on over
Move it on over
Rock it on over
Move over cold dog
The hot dog's movin' in...
Yeah, yeah...

Out Of Control Raging Fire
Duet with - Patty Loveless
Written by - Kostas & Melba Montgomery

Today an old heartache came calling
An old flame I thought died out like some falling star
Instead it's rekindling some embers
That may start an out of control ragin' fire

That look in your eyes brings bad memories
You still have that same smile that once won my heart
The bittersweet feelings still linger
That once fueled an out of control ragin' fire

That out of control ragin' fire
Pain has no memory when you burn with desire
The flames grow higher and higher
Till we've reached an out of control ragin' fire

Inside the passion is burning
It's too late to stop what we've started tonight
How can we resist this temptation
To start an out of control ragin' fire

That out of control ragin' fire
Pain has no memory when you burn with desire
The flames grow higher and higher
Till we've reached an out of control ragin' fire
Yes, we've reached an out of control ragin' fire

Santa Looked a Lot Like Daddy
From: A Loving Time Of The Year, 1992

Well...Santa looked a lot like Daddy
Or Daddy looked a lot like him
It's not the way I had him pictured
Santa was much too thin
He didn't come down the chimney
So Momma must've let him in
Yeah, Santa looked a lot like Daddy
Or Daddy looked a lot like him

They thought that I was sleepin'
They thought I was quick in bed
They never thought I'd come a creepin'
Or that I'd hear what was said
Santa put his arms around Momma
Momma put her arms around him
So if Santa Claus ain't Daddy
Then I'm gonna tell on him

Well...Santa looked a lot like Daddy
Daddy looked a lot like him
It's not the way I had him pictured
Santa was much too thin
He didn't come down the chimney
So Momma must've let him in
Yeah, Santa looked a lot like Daddy
Or Daddy looked a lot like him

I never saw Dancer or Prancer
I never heard the sleigh bells ring
I never saw a red-nosed reindeer
Like they show on the TV screen
But he sure brought a lot of presents
Santa Claus, he must've been
Yeah, Santa looked a lot like Daddy
And Daddy looked a lot like him

Well...Santa looked a lot like Daddy
Daddy looked a lot like him
It's not the way I had him pictured
Santa was much too thin
He didn't come down the chimney
So Momma must've let him in
Well, Santa looked a lot like Daddy
Or Daddy looked a lot like him

Santa looked a lot like Daddy
Or Daddy looked a lot like
Daddy looked a lot like him...

Blues Man (Live version)

I'm just a singer
I'm a natural born guitar ringer
And I'm kind of a clinger
Of those old George Jones songs

And I'm not a walk behinder
Thanks to you folks I've had gold and platinum albums
I'm a new note finder
And my life is a reminder
Of some bad times that have fallen again

And I started heavy drinkin'
And I took things that messed up my thinkin'
And people I was sure sinkin'
Until all of you came along

And I was alone out in the spotlight
Wasn't too much left inside
You folks changed all that in just one night
And you sang me this song...

You said, 'Travis, we love you'
You said, 'Travis, we need you'
You said, 'Travis, you don't have to prove to us
That you're some kind of macho man'

'You wasted so much of your life
Out running through these honky tonk nights
So let us shine some love light
Down on you, Blues Man'

I've been so sick from speedin'
Doing all that junk they said I was needin'
If I was gonna keep on pleasin'
All my country club friends

I've been arrested on some dirt roads
And I've been stoned and played a lot of one night shows
But you folks came and took all that old load
Down off this Blues Man

Hey, people I love you, too
New York City you know I still need you
Even though some times I still get a little tired
From playing all the one night stands

Lord I'm thirty years old now
But my life would be, oh, so cold now
If you folks hadn't hung around
This Blues Man

Lord I'm thirty years old now
But my life would be over...now
If you folks hadn't just stuck around
This Blues Man

Talking:
You folks have been fantastic tonight
I want to share one thing with you
There's a little code of life that I've found
Real hard to live by
I don't always succeed but I try real hard
I want to share it with you
As you go through your day to day life
I want you to remember to do one thing
Always do the best job you can possibly do
Whatever it is, you put your mind to do it
'Cause after all that's all anybody can ever ask out of you
Just your best
I got news for you
If your best isn't good enough for 'em
You tell 'em to kiss off
Treat other people the way you'd like to be treated
Remember to take a little bit o' time
Out of every single day for just yourself
That's real important
And do one more thing
Remember this
Ole Travis loves ya
God bless ya, everybody

My Little Georgia Rose
From - Big Mon: The Songs of Bill Monroe

Now come and listen to my story
Story that I know is true
'Bout a rose that blooms in Georgia
With hair of gold and a heart so true

Chorus:
Way down in the Blue Ridge Mountains
Way down where the tall pines grow
There's my sweetheart of the mountain
She's my little Georgia rose

Her mother left her with another
A carefree life she had planned
Maybe now she's a lady
One her mother could not stand

Chorus

We often sang old songs together
I watched her do her little part
She'd smile at me and I would tell her
That she was my own sweetheart

Chorus

Chorus

Only You (And You Alone)
Written by - Buck Ram & Andre Rand

Only you can make this world seem right
Only you can make the darkness bright
Only you and you alone can thrill me like you do
And fill my heart with love for only you...

Only you can make this change in me
For it's true you are my destiny
When you hold my hand...
I understand...the magic that you do
You're my dream come true...
My one and only you...

Sometimes She Forgets

If you see her out tonight
And she tells you that it's just the lights
That bring her here and not her loneliness
That's what she says but sometimes she forgets

If she tells you she don't need a man
She's had all the comfort she can stand
You best believe every word she says
But don't give up 'cause sometimes she forgets

And sometimes she forgets that not too long ago she swore
She wasn't gonna let her heart be broken anymore

So now she keeps it locked away
And it grows colder everyday
And it won't warm to any man's caress
That's what she says but sometimes she forgets

And sometimes she forgets that not too long ago she swore
She wasn't gonna let her heart be broken anymore

If you see her out tonight
And she tells you that it's just the lights
That bring her here and not her loneliness
That's what she says but sometimes she forgets

Yeah, that's what she says, but sometimes she forgets
So don't you dare give up 'cause sometimes she forgets

Take It Easy
Written by - Jackson Browne & Glenn Frey
From - Common Threads

Well, I've been runnin' down the road
Tryin' to loosen my load
I got seven women on my mind
Four that want to own me
Two that want to stone me
One says she's a friend of mine

Take it easy...
Take it easy...
Don't let the sound of your own wheels
Drive you crazy
Lighten up while you still can
Don't even try to understand
Just find a place to make your stand
And take it easy...

Well, I've been standin' on a corner
In Winslow, Arizona
Such a fine sight to see
It's a girl, my Lord
In a flatbed Ford
Slowin' down to take a look at me

So come on, baby...
Don't say maybe...
I got to know if your sweet love
Is gonna save me
We may lose and we may win
But we will never be here again
So open up I'm climbin' in
And take it easy... Yeah

Whoa...

Well, I've been runnin' down the road
Tryin' to loosen my load
I got a wealth of trouble on my mind
Lookin' for a lover
Who won't blow my cover
She's so hard to find

Take it easy...
Take it easy...
Don't let the sound of your own wheels
Make you crazy
Come on, baby...
Don't say maybe...
I got to know if your sweet love
Is gonna save...me...

(Ooh, ooh, ooh...) (Repeat 11 x's)

Yeah, yeah
Oh, we got it easy...
We ought to take it easy...
Yeah
