MY PERSONAL MISSION STATEMENT

I, Regina Casaday, do promise to serve the teachers/staff, students, parents, and community of Carver Elementary to the best of my ability. I will hold all relationships as honored and trusted, encourage creativity and risk-taking, teach and model self-discipline and respect that is essential for the future success of our kids, solicit parent support and involvement, and do whatever it takes to make the Carver family the best it can be. I promise to do all these things with a smile on my face, joy in my heart, and daily prayer because I cherish my family and they deserve nothing less than my best!

Let me introduce myself � I am Regina Casaday, your new principal at Carver Elementary. First, let me tell you that I am so excited to be here and look forward to getting acquainted with everyone � teachers/staff, students, parents and community members. I hope you will come by and introduce yourself as we begin the 2008 � 2009 school year and trust it will be the best year yet!

I have been an educator for 25 years and worked in small, private/Christian, large, rural, and metropolitan area schools. The grade I taught for eleven (11) years was 5th; I have also taught 2nd, 3rd, 1st, music/art and 7th & 8th grade language arts. Feeling God�s calling to go into administration, I began that road as an assistant principal in 2000 � 2001 and have served as principal for Rice Elementary (between Corsicana and Ennis) for the past seven years.

I truly feel called into this noble profession, love being at school every day and being with the students. My goal is to help provide a safe and nurturing environment where all students learn and develop their fullest potential. I have an open-door policy and welcome comments from staff, students, parents and the community at large. It takes each one of us, doing our part, to help every student achieve success.

Carver Elementary is the place to be, and I am very honored to be a Carver �Cool Cat�.
