| CY Cirls Babes in suck land. Well, here's that game I previewed last year. Let's see, this game is pretty much the same as I said, right? Right. Where to start? Well, the game stars two women (Girls, duh) One's Aska, a ninja who starts out seeking revenge for her father. Real original, right? Ohh, that reminds me of the stupid story, apparently, all the electricity in the world goes out. And some satelite thingy that supposedly provides electricity. Yeah, that's about all you learn. It just get's stupider and more confusing. Aska's soo bad she can kill enemies in one hit. Block, press a button, boring cut-scene of death. Sound's a bit like shinobi, only with no challenge whatsoever. So the games turn into an adventure. COLLECTING ITEMS! Yay! How fun, only it get's worse. Back-tracking. One example, I have to find a computer. But first I need to find a bomb to blow up a wall. I find one in a basement like place, then I blow up the wall. Only halfway. So I have to back-track downstairs. Go into a room, and.... you know what, I'm gonna stop right there. In the end after an hour of going to one place to another place, I was just in, back and forth, I was done the level. And yes, it gets worse. Ice is the other one. She's got some tazer guns, but quickly finds other enemies guns. But replace slashing brain-dead, easy-kill enemies to shooting brain-dead, easy-kill enemies. She also has to back track. The sound is horrible, voice-acting sucks, and there is no sound. Well, okay there' is sound, but it's so low and bad. The graphics are horrible. And for tomb-raider "guys", you won't end up liking the girls. Plus the enviroments are ridiculously bland. The controls are horrible. It's like they tried to make a horror game, then switched to stealth controls. In a supposed action game. Plus, the camera is annoying in both camera modes. There is a bit of good. In the hack levels you become digitized and fight viruses in a computer. It's really cool. And the controls pick up a bit here. You hand fight slow enemies. This part alone is worth 7 Overall, but alas, it's too short, and to get to it, you have to spend about an hour in the real, boring world. Cy Girls is bad. I don't know why I previewed this. We have a certain score for games like this. Graphics-4 Sound-2 Control-4 Fun Factor-2 Overall-3 |

| MX Unleashed IT'S DIFFERENT! Oh look, ANOTHER MX game. Boring. *picks up box to mock* This is just... a monster truck? What? A plane? WHAT? RAGDOLL PHYSICS!? That's pretty much my first reaction to this game. It looks like another MX game, but there are some new features here. Such as racing a monster truck, or maybe a truck if you buy one. Yes I said BUY ONE. You can actually buy vehicals for free ride mode. Free ride mode is definitely the best part of this game, but there is normal MX racing. Pretty much standard procedure. And a few other modes, all are pretty fun to play. The courses are pretty well thought out. The scenery is really nothing special, but hey, it's there. When you're riding in a campiagn of four races, the courses seem a bit short at first, but they do become longer. Not too much, just right. Sorry, I forget what the name of the inside stadium course race's mode name is, but these courses are definitely longer. I must admit that the riders did feel as if they cheated sometimes, but they doo mess up. OH! And when you mess up there are ragdoll physics! YAY! The sound is awsome. A ton of rock stars (yes, Headstrong) plus, for the X-Box version you can put your own music in it! Besides that, just engines roaring. The graphics are okay, but it really don't stand out. The control is great. Tricks are easy to pull off. And everything feels right. While MX Unleashed doesn't feel completly new, it's got some new features that make it worth checking out. It definitly is one of the great MX games on the market. Graphics- 6 Sound- 8 Control-7 Fun Factor-8 Overall-8 |
