| This is about how deaf / hard of hearing around the world got notice and how its deafness history has envolve. Hello, I am deaf / hard of hearing. I would like to tell you about what it is like to be deaf. It has its advantages and disadvantages... I ain't complaining not being able to hear, but sometimes I wished that I could so I could sing like a real singer. But If I wasn't deaf, then I wouldn't be me! Having that said, I hope you enjoy your stay. |

| Here is a bit of history about how sign language got started and how it was learned.. Deaf History I found this very interesting that just how many deaf/hard of hearing are actully out there. Let alone how they come up with the thought of sign language, gestures, and facials expression. It really got me interested about how they came up with the hand signs. I am truly fasicated by it. I hope that learning about the deaf culture , you will understand us a bit more. Just because we can't talk with our voices, doesn't mean we can't communicate. ;) |
