Ross & Cromarty
The Cats Back
A good half day ride from the town of Dingwall and back again, mainly off-road with steep climbs and sudden plunges, altogether a good afternoons fun.
The Black Isle/ my daily ride

This is a ride that can vary in length from 12 miles to nearer 50, depending on the route you decide on.
Easy riding no big hills, great sea views, and small villages.
Some really good off road on forest track,  up to Mount Eagle then a crashing down hill .
On the long route simply ride right round the Isle, passing through little fishing villages, under cliffs and past huge stregthes of golden sand

The Beinn Dearg Circuit
By Pete Jones
I did this route near Ullapool the day after the riding Corrour Classic described above, and it's another cracker. It's a long one, 71 miles, but that includes 24 miles of tarmac from Ullapool back to the start point (you could omit this by taking a bus - see Bus Transport at the end of the route description). Aside from that, it's almost entirely offroad - mile after mile of rolling doubletrack through remote hill country
Black Isle's main road at rush hour
Glencoe & the Devils Staircase
A legendary route which seems to be written up by every bike magazine there is on a regular basis. Improvements to tracks in the glen of Glencoe have made this round trip a more pleasant experience..This page also  has a collection of other routes around Glen Coe, well worth having a look at.
If you ride any of them why not drop me a e-mail and let me know how you got on.
