Interest- wind farm at Douglas
Park at Kaims south of Muirkirk go south up the valley track 4km. Contour 3 km round
Stony Hill and continue into the forest. Go right at the junction 1km into the forest. 1km go left, 1 km go right to Fingland (3km). Go east past Blackgannoch. After 2 km the track heads north and becomes faint after the sheep pens. Push/carry/ride to the track on the north side of Cairn Kinney. Fast descent to the tarmac road in Glentaggart and then to Douglas. Just entering Douglas turn left over Douglas water, go uphill to Douglas West and straight on to the rough track up Arkney Hill. Contour along Henry�s Hill. Left after the descent and left again after 2km. Go past the open cast mine to the A70. Return on the A70 to the start. |
