Selkirkshire
Grey Mares Tail A Rugged off road trail of about 40 miles through breathtaking Southern Uplands right in the heart of the Scottish Borders. From the Gordon Arms Hotel to Tushielaw, then a run down through the Ettirick valley
The Minch Moor. One of my favorite walks as a kid, this one, a good long 40 miles on road and off, the Minch is the highest point around here and with luck you're get great views. Important point, do'nt forget to leave a piece of cheese at the "Cheese well", for the fairies, or you will be dogged with bad luck for the rest of the day
Yarrow A great shorter ride with incredable views, take a camera, some hills but well worth the effort
Clovenfords, Galashiels distance: 17 miles OS map: 73 A mixed route up a quiet valley. There's an arduous uphill push that really can't be avoided
