My husband thought the feederless birch pole needed something so he designed and made this squirrel weathervane. I think it turned out beautifully!

| We decided to take down the suet feeder on the birch pole for the Spring and Summer. Ravens had become regular visitors to this feeder and we did not want to encourage them to be in yard in case the smaller birds wanted to use the nest boxes. We have witnessed these Ravens take nestlings and small birds and feed them to their own young. A pretty distressing sight!
