The volcano eruption of Stromboli

                                                      Eruptions of Stromboli Volcano
Stromboli, a small island N of Sicily, has been in almost continuous eruption for over 2,000 years. Its small Strombolian explosions (named after stromboli), which hurl incandescent scoriae above the crater rim, occur several times a day, but larger eruptions are less frequent.(GVP). Take care when approaching Stromboli because activity can change without warning. Stromboli is the sister volcano of Yasur in Vanuatu. Both Yasur and Stromboli show almost identical continuous eruptions.
Stromboli's magma chamber is located at 250 km depth.
