Consequences of earthquakes
       In area of dense population, earthquakes cause deaths
and widespread damage to property. Earthquakes usually
bring further damage by causing floods, landslides, ground
failure and even tsunami.
       when earthquakes occur in large cities like Kobe in Japan
in 1995, there can be widespread collapes of buildings and roads,
followed by widespread fires. There may also be a loss of water
and electricity supplies as well as damage to communications and
transport networks.
