Earth is made up of several layers:the core,
the
mantleand
the
crust.
The thin outer layer of the Earth
is
the crust.
The crust is broken into a number of large pieces, just
like
a cracked eggshell. Each piece is known as a plate.
The
boundary
between two plates is called the plate boundary.
