A climograph (sometimes refered to as a climate graph) is a specialist graph used by geographers to show two things:

Steps to follow to draw a Climograph

  1. Give the climograph a title, which includes the name of the place where the graph is drawn for.
  2. Draw a frame if it is not done for you. The frame should look like this:
  3. Use the scale up the left hand side to draw the temperature line graph. Plot the temp figures in the middle of the month’s space on the axis. Draw a free-hand, smooth, continuous line to join the points from January to December in pencil initially, and then in red.
  4. Use the scale up the right hand side to draw the rainfall bar graph. Plot the rainfall figures and draw bar graphs from January to December in blue. Each bar should fill the space for that month.
